Do you need a streaming device if you already have an smart tv? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 08:56 PM PDT Is getting a streaming device really worth it? My TV can handle most 4k video with ease. The only reason I'm thinking of getting a streaming device is because my TV comes with webos and what you can do with it is SUPER limiting. And I'm not talking about something like nvidia shield pro which is like obviously better but also super expensive. I'm more talking about something like chromecast or fire tv cube. Posted: 30 Aug 2021 06:52 AM PDT Hello, I have this STB from my TV provider: https://www.androidtv-guide.com/pay-tv-provider/orange-slovakia/ - problem is, in setting menu, there is no way to change picture setting, because the item is missing in menu. My goal si to change resolution/refresh rate from 3840p @ 60 Hz (this is automatically set by STB) to 3840p @ 50 Hz. Reason: in Europe TV broadcast is normally in 25 fps which cause judder with 60 Hz refresh rate. Any idea how to add this setting, or access it, change it? Thank you. [link] [comments] |

Control android tv with Google assistant on android phone Posted: 29 Aug 2021 12:17 PM PDT Basically the title, I wanna control my android tv with my phones Google assistant and not the one on my tv if that makes sense. The nearest i got was realizing that i had to install Google home on my phone and then connect the tv but i dont think it is supported by android tv (it only supports Google tv AFAIK). Anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments] |
