As it's a faster phone, doesn't seem it should be a problem. It's not lagging, it's just being selective when I go too quickly. Google searching brings up the usual plebeian problems of lag and whatever. [link] [comments] |

My service provider is T-Mobile, the date on my notification screen is correct, and for some odd reason there's a huge group of photos that are each on different month, day, and years (such as year 53623). I have not made any changes to any settings in a while. What is going on ._. Any advice is appreciated, I'm concerned my phone may be about to keel over and die. Edit: It appears that it lists the date correctly for regular camera photos, but if I save a photo from Snapchat then it has a wonky year. I will chalk it up to the app being weird, but I'll leave this up in case anyone has a similar issue. [link] [comments] |

The problem is that you can only activate this bundle once you've used up 100% of your data, but to activate it an internet connection is required. Sometimes a notification appears to sign in to the network which leads directly to the page to activate the extra bundle, using the same link in Chrome or Firefox does not load the page. So here's the question: Is there a way I can open this page with "Sign in to network" without having to wait for the notification? [link] [comments] |
| Can't login to Google, no maps in apps, location issue. OP8T Posted: 29 Aug 2021 09:04 AM PDT Hello, I've recently got OP8T and I was not planning to use Google account on it as I simply don't need it. But since the start I'm having issues with location GPS, the issue is when I'm inside buildings it's not finding location by network/BT etc. eventhough in settings I switched it on. Only GPS outside of buildings works. Another issue is that I do not see maps in different apps like uber or food delivery apps. So I thought the issue might be because of my lack of Google account login, but when I tried to login I get this error "Couldn't sign it - there was a problem communicating with Google servers". So I'm a bit stuck with lack of network localization, lack of maps in apps, and can't login to Google. Any idea how to fix any of those issues? Photos of those issues here: IMG Thanks a lot. | Poco X2/ Redmi K30 is in a bad state Posted: 29 Aug 2021 11:54 AM PDT I have a Poco X2/Redmi K30, and i have been running a custom ROM (Evolution X) on it . When I updated to a newer version of the said ROM , there was a bug in the kernel (custom) and basically the phone won't detect the usb cable when connected and doesn't charge .This "bug" was triggered when I used a power bank to charge it when the power was out , but after I disconnected it from the power bank it didn't charge up when I conncted it to the power brick. As a result my phone died out. So I took it to a nearby service center and they took the battery out and charged it externally and then clean flashed the custom rom and it worked. At that time I didn't realise that the power bank was the issue so due to circumstances I used a power bank a few days later and it died out again.This time the service center couldn't fix the problem and when they returned it , it has the same custom rom running but with the stock recovery installed, usb not recognising at all and left with 20% battery. I really dont like having Whatsapp junk on my phone gallery and want to be able to delete things as and when I want without them deleting themselves from whatsapp as well. (I know you can turn off media visibility but I do want some things in my gallery, etc. photos my family/friends share with me, but dont want other junk and want to be able to delete it without it deleting from whatsapp as well) 2 - Is there any way to save individual photos from whatsapp directly to my gallery on samsung, used to have this option on old iPhone but not apparent as of yet on Samsung, having to export to google photos then download which is a bit of a pain. | Automatic installation of certain apps and games Posted: 29 Aug 2021 10:33 AM PDT I use Poco F1. I faced a spooky issue and wanted to get your opinion. Last night, battery went down below 5% before going to sleep. When I woke up in the morning, the phone was switched off. So I put the phone in charging and switched it on. After sometime, when I checked, I could see certain apps and games were installed in it. Like Temple Run, Subway Surfers, Zebpay, Goibibo, mfine, etc. And they had the blue dot next to them, the one we get for the recently updated but not yet used after the update. I'm sure I didn't install them and no one had access to my phone during this period. And I could not find some of them listed in "Play Store -- Manage apps and device -- Manage -- Installed" also. One or 2 alone were listed there. This was really spooky as I'm using this phone for more than 2 years, till now I hadn't faced any issue like this. Anyone has any idea about this. What should I do? | Battery calibration not working on my moto g6 Posted: 29 Aug 2021 09:53 AM PDT I replaced the battery and now the phone gives me wrong percentage on the battery. It will go down fast and then stay arround 4-3% for atleast 2 hours. What Ive done: Reset Phone/Reflash the Custom rom( and wipe cache); Let the battery deplete, until the phone turns off on its own and then let it charge to 100% while turned off. [link] [comments] |

In my mind, the repo is not a big deal; but MagiskHide is a huge deal. Is it even worth it to continue with the current Magisk developer? Will Magisk be split off and run separately from the developer in order to maintain MagiskHide? Should I refrain from updating Magisk apk with any future releases? Someone showed me a forked branch of Magisk but it doesn't look like any changes have been made. Is someone else already developing it and continuing MagiskHide? What is the official solution when this happens? Take it to an authorized repair place? There's hardly any info about it online, other than these scammy guides, and most of those don't even deal with the specific device you're looking for. From what I can tell, if you try doing this with a tool like Odin, you need something called a "combination firmware" file, in addition to the regular firmware. There's also some variation of an unlocked tool, but none of these seem trustworthy. Then there are methods that apparently exploit the Android UI, but these don't seem to work for my device. Does anyone have any info about how this is SUPPOSED to work, or what the official solution is supposed to be? I'm not thrilled about following these guides... [link] [comments] |
| Apps reload/reset when I switch between them? Posted: 29 Aug 2021 06:02 AM PDT Sometimes (but not always) I have an issue whereby switching between minimised apps makes them reset/reload. E.g. web browser will reload the whole website, amazon/ebay app will exit search results and reload on the home page, even if I switch away for a quick second. | Posted: 29 Aug 2021 05:55 AM PDT Anyone know how to resurface the .epub file itself after opening in Google Play Books? A few months back, I downloaded an epub file from a website onto my Pixel 3. I opened the Files app, navigated to file, and chose Open with Google Play Books option. I noticed now that the .epub file is no longer in my Downloads folder for me to backup elsewhere and the original site is down. Anyone know if it's possible to find it again? | 'Not enough storage space' message when moving apps Posted: 29 Aug 2021 04:30 AM PDT Hey guys, A couple of days ago I was given a brand new Samsung pro 64GB MicroSD which I decided to put in my Samsung A41. The card was mounted and I successfully transferred a few photos across. However, when it came to transferring apps, a problem occurred. I selected an app to move and I followed the onscreen instructions but when it got to 90%, the window closed and I got a message saying not enough storage space. I only transferred about 10 or so photos so there is plenty of space. I have tried other apps that are movable but was unsuccessful. I have also tried to unmount the card and format it but to no avail. I'd appreciate any advice and I apologise if this was asked before. [link] [comments] |
