Posted: 03 Jul 2021 10:40 AM PDT Hey guys so I've got a business and I use my phone but the thing is my current call recorder app stopped working for whatever reason. When I say not working, I mean, it doesn't record the full conversation, it only records my voice and doesn't record the other person's voice I've tried a lot of apps out there ( ACR by NLL, Cube ACR, etc. ) and so far I've been getting the same effect I was wondering if you guys knew any apps of software out there that do work and record both sides of the conversation, also I'm will buy if the software/app is worth the money [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jul 2021 10:31 AM PDT Hello comrades 6 months ago I flashed my Mi A3 (Android One) to a [UNOFFICIAL] version of LineageOS 18.1 and everything works fine but now I want to re-flash the system again to a newer version but I realized that my device has an A/B partition. The person was contacted way back when but never came to pick it up. So we cleaned out lost and found, and I got to keep the phone. I wanted it because it has better specs for gaming than my current one. I did do a factory reset, but now I get: "Your phone was factory reset. Enter your PIN to unlock it." It also gives me the option to use that old Google account instead. Is there any way around this, or is this phone essentially bricked? [link] [comments] |
| Chrome browsing history in Android Posted: 03 Jul 2021 05:41 AM PDT I'm developing an application that needs to query my chrome browsing history periodically during a designated set of hours each day.This includes the Chrome browsing history of both my android phone and my PC laptop (Windows 10 if it matters).The solution I'm leaning toward is scheduling a php script that queries the 'History' sqlite file that chrome stores locally on my PC at C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default.But my issue is that, as far as i've been able to investigate (using my sqlite DB browser to examine the data in tables of the 'History' sqlite file), the browsing history chrome stores locally on my PC is not "synced" with the chrome browsing history as recorded on my android phone, despite the fact that these browsing histories orignate from the same google account.I kind of had this assumption going in that chrome just "combines" the browsing histories of all your devices and made them available at one place. 1) Is this assumption incorrect? 2) Is my whole solution in general flawed? | Screen brightness changes depending on screen content Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:20 PM PDT I use an itel vision 1+ (Android 9.0) and this one thing is bugging me all the time and I see no way to get rid of it. When the screen is dark, the brightness increases and vice versa. I tried everything, adaptive brightness is off, turned off night mode, turned off every battery saver option but to no avail. It is very distracting especially when scrolling and watching vids. The only things that helped is to turn the screen brightness to 100% but that's just torture. What should I try to do? (The specs are pretty low so I'd like to avoid apps to fix it running in the background) [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 03 Jul 2021 11:52 AM PDT FYI, a total novice who half the time has no idea what he's doing or how/why it works/doesn't work. OS: Windows 10 1909 I did pretty much everything I could think of. I enabled USB debugging, set it to MTP protocol, then on my laptop I enabled WSL 2.0 and Virtual Machine platform, and after restarting I ran commands to enable them again on powershell for good measure. Installed Ubuntu from MS Store and Universal ADB drivers. My device is listed when prompted with the command "./adb devices" but whenever I try to run the debloat script with the bash command this error appears: Your phone is not detected by ADB. I had the bright idea that maybe 3rd party drivers could complicate things, so I downloaded HiSuite executable, extracted the files, then proceeded to update the drivers of the Huawei P40 lite under "Portable Devices" in device manager, only to find that I already had the driver installed. Running the command as admin did nothing. At this point the only reasons to this roadblock I could think of are a faulty cable (new, works fine, no issues other than this) or driver issues. At this point I'm completely stumped. Maybe Windows ShitTen just doesn't want to cooperate. And this is a fresh OS, mind you. I have no idea how to fix this, and it's driving me crazy. Is it so hard to just debloat your phone...? I feel like a moron, buying a new phone, dedicating to making it private and free from tracking only to find that your efforts were useless. | Posted: 03 Jul 2021 09:21 AM PDT Hello All, I purchased my Galaxy S20 and came previously from a Motorola G6 Plus. Which offered a feature to shake the phone to turn my flashlight on and off. This feature was extremely useful and convenient and it seems that Samsung does not offer this feature. Being able to turn my light on and off without having to touch the screen when it's off, and when my hands aren't disposable to touching the screen is invaluable to me. I'd like to believe that this can be circumvented. My first thought being that jailbreaking could provide this option. However, I have no experience with jailbreaking and don't understand all the aspects of it. If anyone can provide insight on this, it would be extremely appreciated. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 03 Jul 2021 09:13 AM PDT You're not able to swipe space bar with gboard so you never have to lift finger to create sentences with swipe typing like Microsoft swift keyboard. But Microsoft s keyboard makes alot more mistakes and inaccuracies that are frustrating and annoying. Anyone have a better alternative? [link] [comments] |

About 5 months ago my maps started notifying me with requests for reviews, pictures, timeline, and random info on places I might like.. 10+ a day. So I turned everything off. | Resetting a phone with a broken power button Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:33 AM PDT So my Mi Note 7's power button stopped working properly, I gave it to one of those Xiaomi's affiliated repair center to get it fixed, right after I got it back I noticed the power button was replaced but still not working properly (but better than before) and this time even the volume button was broken! I gave it back and they repaired the volume button for free, but the power button is still the same and I'm tired of giving it for repairs again and again. So what I plan to do is to use my phone while the power button is still broken, I can use the lock screen button to turn off the screen and the fingerprint scanner to turn it back on. I can still use the power button to restart or shutdown however I cannot turn on or turn off my screen with it. My question is what if my phone turns off in some way like a battery drain or something else and my power button doesn't work at all, How can i reset my phone's data without it being on, as i will have to send my phone for repair in such situation, I don't want someone to go through my personal data. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 08:19 AM PDT So this may sound like a dumb question.. but I don't know how to minimize the keyboard on my new Pixel 5 without the back button. That means that if I click on something while the keyboard is up, I can't minimize the keyboard without closing whatever I am doing. For example when I want to send pictures per Telegram I can't click send because the keyboard is in the way. So I have to go all the way back minimize the keyboard per the back button and then start the picture sending again. I tried downloading the apks from some website but it just says that my device isn't compatible. I also tried sending the apks from my old Samsung phone but the same thing happens. | OnePlus 9 - WiFi switching to No Internet Access Posted: 03 Jul 2021 07:18 AM PDT Purchased a OnePlus 9 yesterday. Everything is fine except the random disconnection of Internet while using WiFi. I have a pretty strong WiFi connection but every 3-4 hours, while the phone is being used, the WiFi switches to No Internet Access with an exclamation mark on the WiFi symbol. If I turn WiFi off and on, it fixes it. Still a little frustrating because its a brand new phone. Anyone else has/had the same issue and know a fix for it? [link] [comments] |

Since I use lineage OS, there is just nothing happening. Now I was wondering if there is an app, which registers with android to handle the VOICE_COMMAND signal but only triggers another action then. I wanted to import a bunch of my photos/videos on my phone to my PC, when I realized that some of the reddit videos that I looked at in the past were on the list of things to import.
