Sample rates up to 48 kHz (but up to 44.1 kHz is recommended on devices with 44.1 kHz output, as the 48 to 44.1 kHz downsampler does not include a low-pass filter). 16-bit recommended; no dither applied for 24-bit. ". Does this mean that any and every android device(above android 3.1/4.1) fully supports decoding 16bit/44.1khz or 48khz audio? Do specialized devices such as the Fiio M15 fully support multichannel and higher decoding rates? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 02 Jul 2021 06:26 AM PDT Hi, I have a Samsung A41 with the latest Android installed. Today suddenly my phone stopped playing audio on the speaker when I play songs, YT or any other media, but I can hear sounds when doing phonecalls. It plays all sounds normaly on my headphones, but only plays on one ear bud. I have tested the headphones on my sisters phone and they work fine there so it must be the phones fault. | Cannot make or receive any calls in my house. Posted: 02 Jul 2021 11:43 AM PDT I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite that I bought unlocked and then activated thru AT&T. For some reason I cannot make or receive calls in my house, I can text and access mobile data perfectly fine, and my mom can call on her AT&T phone with no issues. But whenever I try to call out in or around my house, it just says "couldn't connect", and if someone calls me it goes straight to voicemail. What gives? [link] [comments] |

I changed the SIMs names trought "SIM card manager" but it doesn't seems to actually change the name outside that menu. | Text message notification reminder when in Messenger App Posted: 02 Jul 2021 10:29 AM PDT I have a Pixel 2 with verizon and for a short period of time when I opened up a text in the messenger app, I would get a notification/banner of other unread messages at the top of my screen. | Why Can I Not Receive Text Messages?! Posted: 02 Jul 2021 10:18 AM PDT My phone did this thing the other night where I couldn't receive texts for a few hours then got them all at once. Today it's doing it again and it's been all day. I've confirmed I am successfully sending texts. Everything else is working perfectly fine. The only thing I can not do is receive texts. I've tried clearing the cache, deleting all my texts, restarted my phone, turned it off and left it off for a while, ensured messenger app is up to date, downloaded a different messenger app and tried it, reset my network settings. If it matters, I'm on at&t, I have cell service. Not on wifi. I don't have any to connect to at the moment, but when this happened the other night I was connected to wifi. [link] [comments] |
| My phone keeps disconnecting from my PC while connected via USB Posted: 02 Jul 2021 02:43 AM PDT I have a motorola one action and I use tethering via USB a lot since my PC internet is really bad. However, lately my phone keeps getting disconnected from the PC (Windows 10). It looks like this: I'm using tethering when suddenly I lose internet connection and Windows plays the "device disconnected" sound. Suddenly my PC stops seeing my phone and the option to change USB connection type (tethering, MIDI etc.) disappears from my phone. Doesn't matter how many times I disconnect and re-connect the USB cable from my PC or what USB port I'm using, my phone won't connect to my PC until I restart the phone. I used to have that problem like over a year ago when it suddenly disappeared. I had no problems for over a year but now it's back. [link] [comments] |
| Best Smartphones with phisical home button? Posted: 02 Jul 2021 10:10 AM PDT I don't understand why it's so hard to get away from phisical buttons like the home button but the questions is are there any brands that still make new smartphones with such buttons? So the best options out there I found in this thread. The only brand that still makes those type of phones for android is Sharp. A full overview of the models is here and I just want to know if somebody knows a other brand because I don't know how good a sharp smartphone is and if somebody can recommand it. [link] [comments] |

I want to run the desktop Linux version of Discord on my tablet, as the actual Android tablet version is extremely unoptimized and not fun to use. I've tried UserLAnd, but it seems to have a cloud aspect, unless I understood it badly. I'm willing to try root methods if there's no other option. | The Evergrowing "Other" Category Posted: 02 Jul 2021 09:47 AM PDT So, my phone has been having a bit of a storage problem for the past week or so now. I look into what has been taking up a majority of this storage and most of it is being eaten up by the category labeled "other." I clean up all the cache I possobly can, have my phone down to 4 apps, and cannot do much of anything else to help it. I get a micro SD card of 64GB, hoping moving these apps to an external storage could give the internal storage some more free space, and if anything, whatever has been taking up so many GB could move to the SD card. Well, it did work, kind of. The apps, pictures and anything I could possibly move over to the SD card is on the SD card, but this "other" category is STILL continuously growing and taking more and more space on my internal storage. While the storage is not dangerously low, I fear that it is going to just keep coming back and making my phone inoperable. This is really my last resort- does anyone know a way to clear up this category, or to at the very least, keep it from growing and messing up my phone? And before anyone mentions it, I have tried multiple cleaning apps, they didn't help me whatsoever. [link] [comments] |

| Used San Andreas Apk then tried to switch to play store app and now I'm crashing Posted: 02 Jul 2021 09:35 AM PDT So originally I was using an apk version of San andreas but recently got a new job and felt like not pirating so much, so along with my new phone (Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G) I decided to delete it and download from the app store. | How do you get rid of the Group Message disclaimer? Posted: 02 Jul 2021 07:16 AM PDT Whenever you open a group message on Android, there's a little disclaimer that appears to warn you that "Group conversations will be sent as multimedia messages". This is quite annoying because it covers up the latest message for the several seconds that it's on the screen. I'm currently using an S21 Ultra, but I've experienced this across multiple Android devices from multiple different brands and I've yet to figure out how to get rid of it. (It's meant to override Do Not Disturb and given the highest priority) I don't see anymore paid apps but now there's subscription based premium weather apps. | Posted: 02 Jul 2021 05:52 AM PDT I have a Samsung A50 that i got just under 2 years ago. 3 days ago my phone was completely fine but now its charging soooooo slowly. it will go up like 1% every 3 hours and as soon as i take it off the charger it will go down 1% like every minute. my phone's on 7% now which is an improvement from 4% around 8 hours ago. ahh i dont know what to do. ive tried different chargers, ports and plugs. neither are fast chargers but its never been this slow!!! what do i do [link] [comments] |
| Android randomly deletes Notifications right in front of me Posted: 02 Jul 2021 04:45 AM PDT Hi, I am using Android 8.1.0 on a Samsung Smartphone. My problem is that every now and then my notifications disappear and never come back, or sometimes I dont even get a notification to start with. (Happens to all kinds of apps, Instagram, Signal, Ebay Kleinanzeigen, Lovoo etc) For Instagram and Ebay Kleinanzeigen I mostly dont get any notifications (even tough they are turned on), from Lovoo I get notifications, sometimes see them, when I turn off the display then and press home button to activate display again I can even see how android just deletes all notifications that were there. Seems like the notification system is completly screwed, restarting the phone sometimes helps for some apps but also just for a couple hours/days Any Ideas whats going wrong? (One being android tv) Posted: 02 Jul 2021 03:47 AM PDT So I had a micro sd card in my Samsung M30s for quite awhile now and never really used it, I also have a minix neo t5 (android tv box) for watching movies and videos and it dosent have much storage for downloading movies so I was put the sd card in the android tv box and I tried moving files over via a files manager app but it said it was on "view only mode" and I needed to format it to that device. So I did... then it asked me if I wanted to move all my apps and stuff to it and I said no because I only want my movies on it. So I went back into file manager to see if it would work. It wasnt there??? The sd card didn't come up in file manager. Or if I went to where I downlad my movies and videos and tried changing the download location I couldnt find the sd card? But in system settings it was there? Then I tried putting it in my phone to see if it would be on view only mode or what but no, I couldn't use it at all? I had to format it. So now I'm stuck with 2 problems : 1. I Cant even use the sd card on the android tv box because it dosent come up 2.I can't use it on my phone, which I dont mind but it would have been nice if I could.
