| How to display .apk thumbnail icons in Samsung file browser when on SD card? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 08:53 AM PDT I was cleaning my phone and moved a bunch of .apk files from my internal storage to the SD card and noticed that all the thumbnail icons are gone when viewed in Samsung's My Files explorer. When they were in Internal Storage, they all had their respective individual app icons next to the .apk file. I can't remember if this was always the case, or if I messed something up somehow. | Any way to force extra oomph brightness when at 100% in sunny weather outside? Posted: 19 Jun 2021 09:56 PM PDT I have a tempered glass protector on my galaxy which makes me think it's the reason it doesn't properly detect when outside in the sunny weather so it doesn't seem to trigger by itself. I can barely see my screen at normal 100% when it's sunny outside. When I first go outside it works for some time but then turns back to usual 100% and won't pump up again until I come back home . Maybe there's an app/plugin or something for 100%+ extra brightness? Galaxy A31, no root, Auto brightness off, Adaptive brightness off, Common tempered glass filter from Amazon,. [link] [comments] |

| How to disable Google Weather notifications without disabling all Google notifications? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 12:04 PM PDT In the past few days I've started getting notifications from Google Weather about the temperature. I didn't install any new apps or change any settings so I'm not sure why it started. If I swipe the notification and click the settings icon on it, the only option is to disable all Google notifications. | Help "cracking" this weird digital picture frame Posted: 20 Jun 2021 06:37 AM PDT Hi all, I recently came into possesion of this subcription based digital photo frame, yes thats right, you have to pay $9.99/mo to have your own photos displayed on a screen in your kitchen. Anyways it obviously runs android, and I am sure there is a way to "root" it or install a new os, but have no clue where to start. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated! It keeps coming up with a notification saying I was signed out of my account and have to sign back in. Every time I try to do that, it doesn't complete the process. I put in my Password and hit "next" but it doesn't load the final page, or somethihng. All I get is the cursor moving around in circles for hours on end. | Alexa or Google Assistant on Android phone? Posted: 20 Jun 2021 05:29 AM PDT A view days ago I saw something. Can't find it anymore and I searched for ages without an result, just about the best smarthome. That's why I'm asking here. I have a Huawei P30 Pro. Someone said Alexa is much smarter with many more features you can even download and adjust. So I wonder if I should install Alexa on my phone. But I didn't find any comparison in the internet for phone especially. Can someone answer with an honest answer and if it's okay, the reason why I should continue using Google Assistant or if Alexa gives me more features and support. Bc many things Google isn't able to answer and it shows nothing at all, or just say "here are articles" and often misunderstand what I said (easy sentences, even see what Google understands the word) what's mostly the same thing but cans understand it. And I feel it's not that good featured bc often when I want my phone to do some small tasks it just show me an instruction how it works (normal Android features) And it activates often by just an "Okay" not even said my me. Posted: 20 Jun 2021 03:01 AM PDT Hi, I Searched through xda and telegram and when i finally find a kernel I like turns out it either messes up gcam or bootlops stock.I am not into customization i want it for the performance, and getting rid of emmc bug. As I looked around turns out most of performance enhancment comes from the kernel of the stock rom, and i like my ui the way it is, and don't have the space to backup all files on the phone before the clean flash. Posted: 19 Jun 2021 09:50 PM PDT Not strictly an android question, but I don't really know where else to ask and I'm not getting a lot of luck googling this. Basically would connect your phone via bluetooth to a PC, and then use the PC's headphones and microphone to make calls from your phone. The only thing I've been able to find is the microsoft Your Phone app, but apparently it only works with android 7+ and my phone's latest version is 6. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 20 Jun 2021 02:00 AM PDT I was using LG K8 with very little internal storage so that having only browser, reddit and messenger was enough to fill the storage completely and to just update apps I had to uninstall other app but when I tried to update an app today it turned out to not be enough space so I turned off and on my phone and while turning on there was black screen and message that kept showing up "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." each time I click ok the message still pops up. I tried turning off and on the phone few more tries, turning it in safe mode, pressing power button and volume up/down which doesn't seem to do anything on this particular phone and connecting it to PC which also doesn't do anything. Is there something else that I can do this to fix it and if not if it's possible to somehow copy the data from phone to pc? Phone is not rooted. [link] [comments] |
