| Phone wont take or download any images Posted: 03 Jun 2021 09:31 AM PDT So my phone is pretty old (s5) and completely fucked now. It started yesterday when it wouldnt turn on, after like ~15 attempts it eventually did once, but the moment the screen was off it happened again, fast forward an hour and it worked again and booted itself through a screen where it started each app manually, worked afterwards. Then checked the internet for solutions on the wont start problem, was told to delete the cache partition of the phone in recovery mode. Now i know that deleting cache usually doesnt delete anything important but i triple checked it anyways and it seemed fine. So went into recovery mode, deleted the cache and this is where the problems REALLY started. First thing i noticed is i couldnt play any videos in the gallery anymore, it would just give me a "unfortunately this video cant be played" error. I cant take any screenshots "due to security policies" either, though the thing is i cant take them ANYWHERE not in any app nor on the fucking homescreen. I cant download any image either, again will just give me a "couldnt be downloaded" error. Taking them myself doesnt work either, wont get an error but they just dont show up in the gallery. Then connected my phone to my PC and tried to copy the media to my pc so i could factory reset the phone but that doesnt work either again because of 'an unknown error'. I cant transfer ANY file and i cant even view them on my pc either. This has worked in the past. I also tried deleting the cache and data of all relevant apps, didnt work either. I ran both avast and malwarebytes twice on my phone so i do not think this is malware related but i have no idea how to fix it other than factory resetting it which i really want to avoid. Most apps seem to run fine, many things still work, playing videos on the internet or anywhere works just the saved ones dont, it seems like anything related to the gallery app is completely broken though thats the one app that i would rather not lose. edit: it really seems like EVERYTHING even loosely connected to the gallery is broken, i cant even delete things in the gallery. it will say it got deleted but the next time it open it its back. i cant send images/videos to other people either. all other apps seem to work as intended. | Samsung Galaxy A50 apps don't load problem. Posted: 03 Jun 2021 07:20 AM PDT I am using a Sumsaung Galaxy A50. Whenever I try to open some of the apps, it won't load as if there were no internet connection, it stays totally blank. But other apps still load and both the wifi and the mobile data connection is okay. Clearing the app cache or data doesn't fix the problem but uninstalling the app completly and re-installing from the play store works temporarily. But after a few days, the problem returns. It happens with Whatsapp and Inatagram mostly, but it happened with Facebook, Messenger and Youtube at least once. How do I fix this? [link] [comments] |

I've searched quite a bit and haven't found a thread with any real answers. I deactivated my Facebook but still use messenger for a few things. It doesn't kill the resolution of pictures and videos. Recently I have 3 Facebook friends on my direct share list. I'm not even friends with them on Facebook. I cleared the cache of messenger. Tried to share something, the 3 contacts were gone.
