However I can't find a basic app on the Play Store that allows the phone to record with the screen off. As well as storing clips to a cloud drive. Do those exist or will I need to look elsewhere? Looking for a price of around 250 to 350 British pounds The two that have come to my attention the most are the poco f3 and the oneplus nord ce 5g 12 gb version. I see the poco has the better Cpu of the two but was wondering would the 4 gb of extra ram help to close the gap,can't seem to find anyone comparing the 12gb version vs the f3. | How can an application use 40%+ battery life with less than one minute usage? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:40 PM PDT Android 11 on Samsung Note10 with Verizon. There is an audio editing app on my device that has been using about 40% battery every day but has no usage. I haven't opened the app at all and even set it to deepsleep and disabled it background data usage. It turned itself back on and has continued to use this amount of battery every day. It also shows 60mb of data while I haven't used the app to send or receive any data. What the heck is going on? I've disabled all of irs access aswell. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:12 PM PDT I remember the little square button on the bottom left that you could double tap and it would then hide the navigation bar. You would then have to swipe up to get the navigation bar to appear temporarily. I currently have a Motorola one 5g ace running android 10. Any help is appreciated! [link] [comments] |

| System "themes" app is apparently "no longer compatible with device" Posted: 27 Jun 2021 09:06 AM PDT So in 2019 I changed my phones font using the themes app present on my Huawei. Now, for 3 years after the last update, I have been regretting my decision to change it. Today I go look at it in the playstore and it says "This app isn't compatible with your device anymore. | How to recover Wifi passwords from my old phone? Posted: 27 Jun 2021 07:59 AM PDT Hey mates! I bought a new phone, which has Android 11. On first boot, I could recover all my stuff via Google backup and it went fine. Unfortunately I had problems with my WiFi and had to reset WiFi settings - which also deleted my saved WiFi passwords. Now I would like to re-import my saved WiFi passwords from my Google backups or my old phone (still accessible), but I simply don't find a way. I haven't found a way to again re-import from Google backup. I also am not able to find a way to otherwise restore my WiFi passwords. I tried many "WiFi Password Recovery" apps, but they simply don't work. I think it's because my new phone is running on Android 11 and these apps aren't updated for it. So either when trying to give root they won't do it (app will ask again and again for root permissions, which it already has) or simply doesn't show anything. Some apps even say that they've been developed for older Android versions. Also I could create a QR code form these apps on my old phone, but while scanning these, my new phone says it's an invalid QR format. | Fix Huawei with broken screen and touch Posted: 27 Jun 2021 06:56 AM PDT I dropped my Huawei P30 last night. Screen is completely shattered and black. I tried plugging it in to my TV with a USB-C to HDMI adapter but it doesn't show anything on the TV except for a grey lock screen showing the date and time. I'm also not sure if the touch is working since I can't get any feedback. Only thing I can do really is activate Google Assistant using the power button, and that's kind of it. Is there any way to get into this phone and get a backup of it? Repair is no alternative since there's no one close to me that does repairs on Huawei. USB debugging is unfortunately off, and unless there is some hidden application I haven't heard of, only thing I can imagine would be to somehow activate blind or voice control using the assistant and working my way around the phone from there. Posted: 27 Jun 2021 05:04 AM PDT Hey everyone, ever since I've updated to Android 11 on my OP Nord I've been having issues with my bluetooth earphones when I finish using them and return them to their cradle to charge. When it gets stuck like this, no audio comes out of the phone, and no setting in software can bring back the phone speaker (even connecting earphones again and then turning them off, or turning bluetooth off). I have to restart my phone to fix the problem. Is this a known problem? For me it has only ever happened since the Android 11 update, but I don't really want to go back to 10. The biggest issue for her seems to be that she forgets to look into the notifcations to enable USB file sharing options after she plugs it in (hell, even I forget that sometimes). Is there any way at all to make that menu pop up in front when a USB(/data) cable is plugged it? Maybe even some small app somebody has built? Or alternatively, can Android remember the setting per device somehow, so that it doesn't have to be accepted repeatedly? (Android 9 that is, at the moment.) Posted: 27 Jun 2021 12:16 AM PDT because MTP via USB sucks humongous balls, slow as fuck, prone to failure, and I can't browse other files while it's copying my current most reliable method is move the files from internal to sd card, turn off the phone, pull out my SD card, put it in an adapter, and use my laptop's card reader, which reads my SD card just like any other external storage. Is there a app which can temporarily disable unlocking your device? This also would be convenient when you're driving your car for instance. So there are multiple use cases in my opinion. I don't want my screen to be on the whole time, because that (might) drain(s) my phone. And if I need to navigate or something, I can't have that happening obviously. So the background is normal, then swipe (blurry background), then normal on the next screen. Swipe back? Temporarily blurry. Swipe further left? Temporarily blurry, then normal again when it stops. Go back right? Temporarily blurry, then back to normal again when it stops. I've only just now noticed this (I've just bought this phone and went through all the settings but I didn't see anything about blur-on-swipe) and it's already incredibly frustrating. This problem occurred when I accidently left the phone on overnight(not 100 percent sure if this cuased it) I've tried reseting network settings and doing a full restart but neither of those have worked, any suggestions?
