The device did not receive the Android 11 OTA update and thus will not receive the Android 12 update when it is available. Is there a way to force the Android 11 OTA update now without clearing local data on my device, and if so, will this also work to update to Android 12 when it is available? Many thanks! | Netflix won't let me watch downloaded videos everytime I restart my phone Posted: 14 Jun 2021 10:56 AM PDT I'm using an s21 ultra with android 11 and everytime I restart my phone I can't watch any of my downloaded videos on Netflix it gives me an error 5.7. I've been looking for solutions and all I can is find is solutions based on rooted devices which mine is not. They talk about a file called liboemcrypto.so which I looked around for and could not find anywhere on my system file. I really need help because redownloading everything Is not a good long term solution and I do not want to reset my goddammit phone to default settings just so this shift can happen again if I ever need to restart my phone. For about a week now, whenever im on the YouTube app, the unlock prompt pops up for google play dispite me not opening the app, it doesn't happen while a video is open but only when navigating the YouTube menus, if i do unlock google play, whether its through the one that poped on YouTube or if i open the app, it stops. I know the obvious solution is to just unlock google play or remove the applock on it but i was hoping to know why this would happen, and why it doesnt happen with any other combination of apps, it never happened before, and just started to recently so there must be a reason. | Posted: 14 Jun 2021 05:32 AM PDT So sometimes I preview .zip folders using the RAR app before they're done downloading, I've noticed sometimes when I do this I lose storage space somewhat equal to that partial extraction that doesn't come back even after I close the RAR app. I also remember one time having tried to install an 8gb APK that failed halfway and took off about 5gb of free space that I never recovered. | How to uninstall all USB drivers/conflicts of different USB Game Controllers in Android? Posted: 14 Jun 2021 09:15 AM PDT Hi, Is there a way to delete all previously installed external devices/game controllers for USB access in Android? I don't mean USB debugging either I've not even got that enabled on this device. I've connected 3 different types of grey-label game controllers via 2.4 Wireless USB dongles to my Samsung Tab S6 (SM-T865, Android 11) and that's messed up the functionality a bit with what I assume is a driver conflict of some sort (?). I can no longer get generic 360 to show up in RetroArch which is the one that works best ("Virtual 0/0" shows up now), I can map it so it works fine in RA but the real issue is with Dolphin emulator where I can't map D-Pad or Analog on any of the 3 different controllers anymore unlike on my S20 where I have no conflict as I've only ever used that one controller and how I used to before trying the other two types of controllers on my S6. I need to get rid of them all then plug in my 360 generic from scratch for the first time, get it to install what it needs to install/alter and go from there. There's nothing I can identify in apps with App Inspector, I've tried looking at .idc files but nothing of note there I can only find 3 generic ones to do with keyboard and touchscreen and I'm not wanting to uninstall OTG entirely unless I can be assured I can get it back on again - I know you can uninstall it and this seems like it might be the quickest way to fix this but I'm not sure how I'd put it back on? Edit: Also there's nothing obvious in Settings that I can find either to do with the devices, connections, unmounting the USB connected in storage settings...nothing. I don't have root access on this device either and I don't really want to as it's still under warranty. | Posted: 14 Jun 2021 09:02 AM PDT So ive reset my Galaxy S6 yesterday and using it without any issues, except that today the Device Idle has been eating nearly as much battery as the screen was, which seems odd for it not even idling much (phone off charger for just 11 hours, and like 5:30h was screen on time), so i expected it to be somewhere at the bottom of the screen and for the main drains to be screen, CR and YT which are the apps i mostly used. I'm really happy with my phone, battery is good, CPU is fast enough for my needs, only sometimes 4GB of RAM is not enough, but I manage, not that big of a deal. Earlier the pdf used to take the entire area including the space around notch. Since a last few days I've noticed the horizontal space around notch getting blacked out. I'm not sure if I messed up some setting or it was an update. But I found the old way pretty convenient. Is there some way I can get rid of that bar or some other app that allows us to? | Can't find the install folder for application Posted: 13 Jun 2021 10:59 PM PDT So I have a Samsung A31 and I've installed a few third party apps. Usually I'm able to tinker around in these third party folders and browse around in their files or stuff like that but about a few weeks ago most of the folders suddenly disappeared for some reason. Usually they could be found under the "Android" folder but now I've only got a handful of folders, mostly stuff downloaded from Google play (I've checked if the folders are hidden as well, they don't show up). I've checked the third party apps in question, and they still work fine it's just that I no longer know where to find their files. Does anyone know of a way to locate where there folders/files have moved to? [link] [comments] |
