    I have a Xiaomi 4k 55'' Android TV. It can't play HEVC files but most of the 4k movies I download are HEVC x265. So is there any way I can play HEVC x265 Movies & TV Shows on my TV ? And I have some other questions also-

    -Is there any TV which supports HEVC Codec ?

    -How people play 70-80GB Blu-Ray files ? (I am not asking about official Blu-Ray DVD , I am asking about Downloaded Blu-Ray Movies )

    Youtube App that let you block videos from channels or with keywords you don't like

    So on my desktop Chrome browser I have a plugin called Video Blocker https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/video-blocker/jknkjnpcbbgcbdbaampbjlhkcghmgfhk but I don't know if there's a way to get this or something like this on my Nvidia Shield. I need it to be remote compatible and I need to be able to log in to my youtube account to access my subscriptions and playlist. Any idea on how to do this with androidTV?

    Philips Smart TV not allowing to open app not installed from playstore

    Hi guys, need assistance here.

    My MIL just purchased a Philips Smart TV 6900 43", and here trying to install some apps from play store, but they're not found there.

    So I loaded up some apk via usb drive and managed to install to the tv, however when I try to open it, it just automatically closes with an error :

    Restricted : Not downloaded from Play Store.

    Any advise on how I can override this so that the apps can be installed. im trying to install my country paid tv service application Astro Go

    Chromecast w/ Google TV kids profile shows dark profile then switches back over and over

    So I'm having an issue with the kids profile on the Chromecast with google TV. We setup a kids profile and it seemed easy enough. So after we try to find something the screen keeps showing what looks like a dark profile with greyed out boxes, then cuts back to the kids profile. It does this over, and over and over with no end as far was we can tell. Has anyone had this issue? If so how did you fix it? I would love for the kids to have profiles but this is a big pain in the butt.

    Google Chrome app not opening after latest update

    I got Google Chrome installed on my Nvidia Shield TV (sideloaded) and it even had a "Channel Tile" so I was able to launch it without external launcher app.

    I turned off automatically updates since for some unknown reason I can't navigate through all my Channels anymore if the Android TV Home app and the Android TV Core are updated to the latest version (see other post for more info: https://bit.ly/NvidiaShieldAndroidTvRedditNavigateStuck2021).

    Today I had a look at what updates there were in the queue and I updated Google Chrome. After the update the Google Chrome Channel was vanished from the Home Screen and it isn't even showing up anymore with an external launcher app. To verify I tried to install the Chrome Dev and the Chrome Canary apps and those are still opening (only via external launcher app) but don't have a Channel Tile.

    1) Anyone facing the same problem? 2) How to fix it? 3) Is there a way to copy the data (open tabs,...) in any explorer app and paste it to the working Chrome Dev or Chrome Canary apps?

    The navigate up/down is not working on homescreen UI on my Nvidia Shield TV. Left/right and other buttons work. Navigate up/down and left/right do work in other apps. I tried with the Shield app but this results in same problem. So my controller and remote are not the problem. I restarted several times but the problem still stays. What would be the problem and how to fix it? I also have the latest FW update. Is this a known firmware update bug? Thanks in advance ????

    I found out that it had to do with the latest version of the "Android TV Home" app. I downloaded version 2.3.1-340788485 and with a file manager of choice I removed the currently installed version and installed the downloaded version afterwards and the problem was fixed without the need of a factory reset.     Mi Box S vs Amazon Fire Stick?

    I am trying to get one of these two devices. In my country most streaming devices are not available. Apart from these two there is also mi stick but i know that device is not powerful enough for me.
    I play mostly 1080p but 4k wouldnt hurt
    I use plex so i want to direct play if possible. About HDR or Dolby Vision, i dont really care much about them so they are not on top of my list. I can live without them.

    Which device is a better choice, or what are your experiences? Thank you

    I hope someone can help me here. I'm planning on buying a formuler GTV for IPTV. Im going with a mac based service therefore it will only work on that one device endless I pay for another subscription.

    I have two TV's. The formuler runs Android TV and my other TV has an Android TV box. There both the Google certified Android TV versions.

    My question is, Is it possible to somehow remote into my formuler on my other Android TV pretty much like a remote desktop and somehow make the remote work too ?

    I'm open to any suggestions and im willing to buy anything. If it's not possible to get the remote working, I'm wondering if there's any way to somehow get a secondary wifi remote that's connected to my formuler and stays with my other TV.

    I am looking to set up a new Chromecast with Google TV. My question is around the fact that I have sued different Google accounts. I have 1 account that has all my paid for movies and TV shows from Google Play. My other account has my YouTubeTV account. What is the best way to integrate these 2 accounts for the best experience on the Chromecast with Google TV? I am switching from a Nvidia Shield Pro.

    Sony XBR43X800E - WiFi has stopped working

    Every time I try to turn WiFi on with the toggle button in the network settings, it just automatically turns it right off before any networks are visible. Did power cycle, then factory data reset, then hard reset, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

    EAC3 Audio not supported MX Player

    Hello! I've downloaded some videos and when i try to play them on MX Player it says that EAC3 Audio is not supported. I've downloaded VLC but it's lagging when i download subtitles.

    Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!
