[DISCUSSION] Add a new tag for themes that are "CLEAN"

    Posted: 20 May 2021 05:26 AM PDT

I like HiShoot tempates that allow me to visualize how a theme looks like on a phone. But, skewing the theme by a huge amount or making the theme just fill 50% of the whole image (OR EVEN LOWER) degrades the experience of looking at themes for how they are. Sure, templates can elevate themes but it can only go so far. Most of the time, it just makes the theme "look worse" because of the things that I need to do in order to appreciate the theme (if I can even do them).

So to retain both people who use templates and the people who don't prefer it have a choice, why don't we add a new flair for posts that are CLEAN. That means:

    1. The theme is not rotated too much
    2. The template doesn't skew the theme
    3. The theme fills up most of the screen

    OR

    1. The theme doesn't use a template to showcase it

Yes, I know that this will create additional work for the moderators but if it improves the experience of browsing this subreddit and creating additional posts that sound like "[DISCUSSION] I HATE TEMPLATES AND WE SHOULD BAN THEM", I think it's a good trade-off (in my opinion, I don't know how much additional work this would add as I have no experience of being a moderator)

Let's have a CIVIL DISCUSSION below. I'll try to respond to suggestions and complaints. And please no doxxing and ad hominem because you would only look like an asshole. Keep the discussion on-topic.
