    Is there anyway to stop an app or web page from reloading when you've gone to another screen and come back to it? Like when a website on Firefox needs me to upload a picture. I go to the camera and take a photo. I go back to Firefox (using the like, 3 lines on the navigation bar to switch back to it you know? I think it's android 10?) and the page reloads! Takes me back to the previous page. Same for Facebook... Every app reloads when I switch back to it. Any way to stop this??

    Is S21+ compact enough?

    So I wanna buy a new android flagship mobile phone. The only thing that matters to me is the size of the phone. I want it to be compact (small size). I thought about S21, but it's not officially available in Egypt and I won't buy it from US or so because there's rumors that mobile phones that aren't bought from Egypt will be banned. So I thought about S21+, but the problem is that it's too big for me because I want a small-sized phone. Do you guys think that I can get accustomed to S21+ easily as someone who's used to compact phone? And more importantly, can it fit in my pocket? Thanks

    My Huawei stuck in a constantly restarting itself in a infinite loop

    Dear experts and members of Android Questions I have an issue with my phone. For some reason today my phone is in a constant loop of it restarting itself ( It has been doing that for a hour). What can I do to fix this. Valuable info my phone is Huawei Y6 2018, also my lower volume button doesn't work for half a year.

    Smart Lock forgets Trusted Devices and Trusted Places.

    One UI 2.1

    Paired my car Bluetooth and entered it as a smart device in Smart Lock . It works initially and within a day or two stops working forcing me to draw my unlock pattern to use the phone when turning it on. Nothing other than removing the device and entering it again works, but only temporarily.

    Today the same thing happened with "Trusted Places" where I have my home address entered. GPS working fine as per google maps.

    Any idea why this is happening with smart devices and trusted places?

    Middle of my screen is unresponsive but sometimes it works.

    My phone has cracks on the screen but not too bad, the bottom part of my screen is not glued correctly so there's a gap between my device and the screen itself.

    The problem is, exactly at the middle, my phone screen is unresponsive but only a line of it, like if there's a pop up and the close button is on the middle, I can't touch it.

    What's more surprising is that sometimes it works, sometimes the phone feels like it's not unresponsive at all, it lasts about 2 hours before it went back to being unresponsive.

    Strange lines in the battery graph

    Just a few minutes ago my phone started downloading seemingly random apps without any notifications or user input at all. Whats going on?

    As the title says, at abput 1pm local time my lg Stylo4 started dowloading a slew of about 10-15 apps without me doing anything. Examples being theSCOOP, AdItUp, pandora, some pet rescue game and a few others. I never opened up the play store and told my phone to dowload these apps, neither did i get notifications that they were downloading at all, they simply popped up on my screen. Whats strange is that i have 2fa on my device and never got any 2fa prompts and google security says it hasnt detected anything in the last month, so whats going on?

    Can I trick mobile browser into thinking I'm on a PC

    I have to take online classes and it knows I'm on a mobile browser.. is there a setting or a different browser that I can use to trick the classes into thinking I'm on a PC? Any insight or help is appreciated.

    Sd Card Unmounted on accident

    I had my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone in my bag during a walk, and after taking the phone out afterwards I had a "Tap here to transfer media files" message. Worth noting that none of the pictures on my SD are showing in my gallery too. I can only assume it temporarily unmounted for whatever reason.

    Is tapping this completely safe to return my data back to my phone? Or should I turn it off first, remove and reinsert?

    Any way of avoiding this in the future too? Thanks in advance.

    No sound notification for YouTube video uploads.

    I get no sound notification for YouTube video uploads. I have the bell set to "All". Livestreams and premieres work fine. I see the notification in the notification shade when I unlock my device, but I wasn't notified. Is this intended behaviour? Is there a solution?

    Any brute force software so I can unlock my phone?

    For some reason my old phones only 9 pin combo password does not work, clearly wants some different one. I have no way of getting into the phone and I need the data on it so I can't reset either.

    Recovery doesn't work becaues wireless keyboards don't have the "shift" function like on PC's to get special keys like "@", so I can't enter my email and the only option left is some brute force combo untill I get in.

    So is there some software that I can plug into the phone and let it do it's thing?

    How to get @ symbol with keyboard

    I'm trying to unlock my phone throught a wireless keyboard+mouse combo because the screen is broken, however I am not able to type any special symbols, like ones you have to hold 'Shift' down for, like: ": @ ~". However I need the "@" symbol to type in my email for recovery, but I am unable to do so because it won't allow me to type the symbol, so it basically is "myemailemai.com" not "myemail@email.com" like how it should be.

    Does anyone know a fix? To be able to use shift and get the symbols I need onto the word box

    Any way to specify 3rd party DNS servers for cellular connections?

    I know you can set custom DNS servers for wifi networks, but is there any way to configure Android to use 3rd party DNS, such as OpenDNS, even when connected on cellular?

    What exactly is on-device sharing, what does it do, and do I need it?

    There is very very little information out there about this setting. But I noticed it even has my password manager as one of the apps so I would really like to know what it is.

    Mouse not working on Terraria

    I tried to play Terraria on my tablet with a keyboard and a mouse. The keyboard works but the mouse doesn't, the cursor is showing on the screen but clicking doesn't do anything. I tried with both a wired and a wireless mouse. (Not bluetooth) On other games it works as intended. Is there a fix for this? Should I buy a Bluetooth mouse?

    saving pdf from chrome to google drive

    Galaxy Tab A, android 10.

    I want to save a webpage as a pdf directly to google drive. I'm using the "share..." function in chrome, and selecting "print". It generates a print preview, and I select the yellow pdf button to download it. This takes me to the samsung "My Files" interface where I can select a location. Google drive is not listed as one of the options (This is what I need).

    If I go to samsung My Files separately, just by opening the app independently, google drive is listed as an option, with my account signed in and permissions granted. In the My Files settings you have the option to "Customize My Files home", but google drive isn't listed as an option I can enable (samsung cloud drive and OneDrive are options I can turn on).

    Currently, I'm forced to save the pdf to a local destination, and then using My Files (or by opening it in adobe) I can move it to the google drive. Please help me cut out some steps!

    fingerprint scanner failures

    Not sure if this is an Android problem or a Samsung problem, but:

    Can someone explain to me why the fingerprint scan on my phone fails about 80% of the time when i'm using it to unlock my phone, but pretty much always works on the first try when I'm using it to access an app?

    I'm on a Galaxy S10, running Android 11.

    Does the default Android camera app give every new image/video a unique name?

    I recently started using an app to copy my files from my phone to a NAS. If I delete the source file from my phone do I need to worry about Android giving the same name to a future file? For example, Image_0001.jpg gets deleted from DCIM/Camera, I then capture a new image and Android puts the new image into DCIM/Camera with the same name.

    No Screen Record Option on Android 11

    Hello. I am on a T-Mobile REVVL 4+ phone that recently updated from Android 10 to Android 11. Before the update, I was able to screen record on android 10 after following instructions from this tutorial. I am told that Android 11 has native screen recording, but I can't find it in the usual notification tiles menu thingy. I did a little bit of research before coming here, so I will say what I have already done:

    • Use Platform tools to reverse whatever I did in the tutorial (adb shell settings put global settings_screenrecord_long_press false)
    • Uninstall various apps that Android may have mistaken for screen recording apps (Discord, AnyDesk, Google Home)

    The one thing that I can think of that I have yet to try is factory resetting, but I would really rather resolve the issues another way. Thanks in advance for any help given.

    what are the thumbnail files on my phone?

    I have samsung j7 nxt 2gb ram 16gb rom(android 9)and its almost full.After a storage analysis i found out there is about 15gb of 'others' files after turning show hidden files ON i found out 2 files in dcim which has a folder called thumbnail which has 2 file called thumbnail 4GB EACH. Can I delete them ? if i can will it effect anything in my phone? Please help

    Huawei 9 lite connectivity issues

    As the title says, I've been struggling with this problem ever since I bought it. Sometimes it just loses all mobile network connectivity (as in, it goes to 0 bars).

    I've tried resetting the network settings, don't use any metal cases, and it didn't suffer any falls. WiFi works fine though.

    Anyone who went through the same here or that can give me pointers to fix this?

    [Bricked] LG Optimus L3

    Hey guys, someone can help me? I've a ultra hard bricked Android LG E400f smartphone, it is recognized in the Windows Device Manager as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDloader 9008". I've dispended a lot of time trying to fix it, found a software to rewrite the firmware (Qualcomm Premium Tools) but need PrimaryGPT.bin file, I've tryed to extract it from the KDZ firmware (downloaded from official stock rom https://lgstockrom.com/lg-optimus-g3-e400f) using this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/how-to-create-primary-gpt-bin-rawprogram-patch-files.4144291/ and LG extractor but receive an error saying its not a valid KDZ or TOT file. Need also the "firehouse file" (extension .mbn) for the SM7225A Qualcomm SoC to burn the firmware into the chip. Someone have this files or know someplace where can I found it?
