| Posted: 26 May 2021 09:15 AM PDT I SERIOUSLY NEED HELP!!! Google Lens keeps magically reappearing on my Chrome app for whatever reason this is. I've never downloaded Google Lens in my life. I've everything to get rid of Google Lens so that I can go back to just using regular Google Image Search but EVERY SINGLE THING I have tried has failed. I've tried going into google://flags. I've tried disabling the Google app (not to be confused with the Chrome app). And I've even tried restarting my fracking phone. WHAT ELSE CAN I TRY?!?!?!!??!! But thought you might be able to help: I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 currently, and want to upgrade to the Samsung s20 plus aura red edition. This is only available from Vodafone on a contract (UK). I'm currently with 02 and have 2 months left on my contract and would like to keep my phone number. What's the best way to go about this? | ATT Note10+ on google Fi - Won't update to android 11. Posted: 26 May 2021 11:15 AM PDT I bought a used note10+ recently and it's unlocked, but it's ATT branded and I'm using it on google fi. I see that both ATT and Tmobile (the only carrier available on the note10+) have pushed out the oneUI 3.1 and android 11 updates to this phone, but I can't get it to deliver the update on the phone. Smartswitch on PC also does not prompt for the update. How would I be able to push this update through manually? EDIT: IT looks like ATT has some ridiculous rules for updates. Can anyone confirm updates won't be available unless i"m active on ATT? You hear so much about used phones being so much better for the environment and cheaper etc but every goddamn time I run into some goddamn nightmare. [link] [comments] |
| Can't set live wallpapers after phone overload Posted: 26 May 2021 11:01 AM PDT I was doing some file management stuff and that was taking a lot of resources (nothing system related, just whatsapp) and my app crashed a few times and other apps crashed as well since then, my homescreen was removed and I can't set any live wallpaper now. I can only set still wallpapers. Anyone knows why? restarting my phone didn't work, I use a Samsung Galaxy A90 (SM-908B). | Adaptive brightness is making my phone difficult to use Posted: 26 May 2021 10:17 AM PDT Sometimes I play a game, which for the best experience for me requires that I turn up the brightness to max, then turn it down when I'm done playing. Sometimes I want to see more detail in a photo or video on reddit, I turn up the brightness and then back done when I'm done viewing. Same with watching a show on hulu. This used to work just fine with the old automatic brightness, based purely on the light sensor and the slider. But with the new adaptive brightness I get the following: last night before bed I realized that my phone was way too bright for the totally dark room, it should be at minimum, so I turn it down. I wake up in a sunny room and my phone screen is black; I wave it under the sunlight streaming in through the window, it stays black. I go into the closet and see the slider is all the way at minimum, so I turn it up. Sometimes when I'm playing a game, literally 10 or so times in a row, every few seconds, the brightness will dim and I have to turn it up again. Got off my bike after recording a ride on my phone today, a very sunny day, unlock my phone and I can't see anything. Anyone else having issues like these? Any solutions? I've tried using tasker to turn off adaptive brightness while playing games and turning it back on after I'm done, but it actually resets the adaptive brightness and I have to start training it again from 0 Phone is a factory unlocked Galaxy S10e running the latest updates [link] [comments] |

I still have the mail in the app, but the app no longer connects to the Gmail service. Is there a way to extract the mail from the app? I've read only line that a while back it was simply an SQLite database where the mail was kept, but that no longer is the case. It seems like the same update, and it's done this about a half a dozen times since Saturday. Is this a glitch? Is there a setting I can change? Does android sometimes need to run 6 updates in just a few days? I'd like it to stop, because it's getting kind of inconvenient. Phone is a roughly year old Samsung galaxy, if it matters. They spam when my phone is a sleep and they claim to be from Bluetooth, but when I turn Bluetooth off I get the same notifications. They drive me crazy and I worry they're from something worse. I recently got interested in rooting and found that I had a spare, working, and unlocked T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 (still has bloat-ware tho) More info: SM-G930T (Qualcomm Snapdragon 820). For the last couple of days, I kept on finding tutorials on one-tap and one-click methods which seemed to work for the person doing the thing, but not for me. I then found out that I cannot use TWRP and have to use Odin WHICH ALSO DOES NOT WORK FOR ME >:( Moral of the story: I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or just don't have the right files, so if a kind soul takes time out of their day on Reddit to take me out of my misery, that would be greatly appreciated :). | How do I add SVG images to an Android app? Posted: 26 May 2021 03:33 AM PDT I recently got BENIME (a whiteboard animation app for Android devices) I've been playing with it for a few days now and the stock images in it are limited and not enough for what I need them for. (Though there are options for adding custom images, Lottie art (.json files), GIPHYs and others) An SVG option is also available and I'm mostly interested in that one... because it is the most versatile But from what I have researched so far online, phones may not be able to read images in .svg formats, except in .jpeg and .png I got several of the picture art I needed and have even tried renaming the image file extensions to .svg but none of them worked. It's either that they're not readable...or that all the colors are lost, leaving only a black and white image which defeats the whole purpose Is there any way to bypass this? I was thinking of getting some SVG image bundles to work with, but with this issue, I don't think it might be possible in the long run.
