    I logged into Google on my partner's android to use the 'find my phone' feature and it seems it's copied all my contacts to her phone book.

    I removed my Google account from the phone and restarted but still have my contacts in her contact book.

    A couple of days ago I noticed this message start to pop up every now and then on my Samsung Galaxy S7, normally after saving a picture or opening Gallery. Gallery sometimes even closes completely as a result.

    I assume this System App is responsible for aspects of the Gallery. It also seems to be taking up 600+ MB. I've tried restarting my phone which hasn't solved the problem. The only solution I've seen online is to 'Clear data' and 'Clear cache' on the app. I don't know how safe this is, I'm sceptical on doing this on a system based app which I know nothing about, with the chance of certain features being messed up, data loss etc. Doesn't help that this specific error doesn't seem to be all that common either.

    Anyone else encountered the problem? Is clearing data and cache on this specific system app fine? Thanks in advance.

    Anyone else having problems with the Google Play Store?

    Whenever I open the Play Store app on my Samsung Galazy S10, it says that I am not connected to a Wi-Fi network, even when I am. This is the only app that does this.

    For owners of phones with Android 9.0 or lower, what do you miss about not having the latest update?

    I'm planning to get a used S10+, so I'm probably going to get only one OS update at most, android 11.0. I plan to own it 2 - 4 years.

    Do you feel your phone is lacking many things? Are there any inconveniences? Or are you perfectly fine with everything and day to day use?

    About Bluetooth Devices Audio Quality Options

    Hello folks. In developer options, you know there are Bluetooth audio options such as AVRCP, codec, bit rate etc. I change those settings but they don't ever stay the way I set. As soon as I press back and get into that menu again, I see it reset. It keeps going back to default settings. I couldn't find an article on the web about this. Why this happens? What do I have to perform for my changes to take effect? [Poco X3 Pro, MIUI Global 12.0.8 Stable)

    App installation/updates requiring un-installation of half of my phone for space (Huawei)

    Hey there. When I need to update an app or install a new app, my phone (Huawei P8 lite 2017) says it needs to free up space, often hundreds of megabytes, and presents of lists of apps to uninstall to free up space. After I agree to uninstall these apps and the installation/update proceeds, I see that the installation/update only requires e.g. 30 mb, much less than I supposedly free'd up.

    This is leading to my phone containing fewer and fewer apps, but somehow it is still always lacking in space. I have tried file management apps and moving items to my external storage, but have not been able to find a solution. Any advice?

    GIFs received from Iphones converted to JPGs

    I just switched to the Samsung Z Flip from a Pixel 3, and now whenever I get a GIF in Messages from an Iphone user they are converted to a JPG image. I can send GIFs just fine and can receive them from other android users. When I had the Pixel I could receive them from anyone, I even switched back to Google Messenger from Samsung Messenger, no luck. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

    Anyone in a similar boat?

    Currently own a pixel 3 and want to upgrade. Most important things, Screen, Hardware, practicality...camera. I have played with the following and still cannot make a decision

    1. S21 Ultra-pure awesomeness!. No phone beats its display, very fluid. You have to have it for a couple of days to appreciate it. BUT, just too big, almost had inflamed wrists holding this brick.
    2. Pixel 5: bland and just does not feel like an upgrade. Its display was small either way for me.
    3. S21: Awesome display, very fast processor. A little heavy. Camera not as good as a pixel. Perfect size, just perfect. BUT, fingerprint and face ID sucks. I can't believe this mattered to me so much. I was just frustrated and yes the Samsung UI does keep reminding me that its not a phone as smooth as pixel
    4. Finally ended up getting a Pixel 4a5g - big display, fingerprint sensor. Feels bland, slow..quite slow.

    Not sure if I am compromising with my decision, never knew buying an android is so hard. IOS is truly more simple

    How to clone internal storage and save to pc

    Many sites I found confuse the term copy and clone. By "clone", I mean copy every byte of the entire storage and save that to my pc. What I plan to do is to use the saved file as a virtual disk and run it on a virtual machine (if it's possible), or put back the storage to the phone in the future as if was always there/like that. Is there any way to achieve this?

    Nokia 8.1 having SIM issues after upgrading to Android 11

    So I just upgraded my Nokia 8.1 to Android 11. Immediately after upgrading I started noticing issues with my SIM. It would just conk off and show invalid SIM without cellular or data connectivity. It works again after restarting or manually reloading the SIM but then goes off again in a few hours

    Here is a list of things I tried but it only works temporarily 1. Rebooted 2. Reloaded SIM after wiping with sanitizer 3. Reset wifi, network and Bluetooth settings 4. switched to 2g and disabled VOLTE, Wifi calling etc 5. Airplane mode and back 6. Clear SIM toolkit cache and data in apps 7. Switching the Sim to 2nd slot

    This is turning out to be really frustrating as I am missing some really important calls. Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers!

    How do I transfer secondary "Non Owner" account only?

    When I set this phone up years ago I made a personal account which quickly became my main account. The owner account has some stuff on it but I prefer it not be transferred over when I migrate to the new phone. Is it easy to specify that only the personal account get migrated, or even possible since it's not even letting me try without permission from Owner account? Will I have to do some things manually and is there anything to make my life easier if so? Thanks!

    Random, unknown music playing over my screen recordings

    [Android 11] Yesterday I screen recorded a voice message my friend made, and it was fine. But I listened to/watched it today and it has this completely random heavy metal song playing over it, I've never heard it before. I tried screen recording it again and I got another random song playing over it. I'm really perplexed. This is the first time I'm having issues with screen recording on Android 11.

    Broken screen but can unlock phone, how to mirror or transfer files?

    I have a Huawei Mate 10 pro that got waterdamaged and killed the screen. I am able to unlock it which lets me use whats app on the pc to get by. It gives off the LED notifications but no sounds, I am able to use it in the car to make calls and play spotify, its able to stay charged but I tried plugging it into the computer but it wasn't detected.

    Is there any software or method in pulling the files off of it? Or if i could mirror it and be able send/move the files from there?

    If i got a new phone is there a way to directly copy it over? I know Huawei has an app but without access to the phone is it possible?

    Safe to use Android 5.1.1 device?

    If I install nothing but Google apps (phone, messages, YouTube, google maps) is it safe to use a Xiaomi Redmi 3 running Android 5.1.1 and Miui 7.1?

    I lost my Mi Mix 3. I still have the Redmi 3 from years ago and actually really like the form factor, and the battery is still good. I've also been wanting less distractions so don't mind limited apps.

    If I forgo web browsing and don't install any non-Google apps, can I still be at risk?

    YouTube Comments bug: Copy/Paste pop-up covers half the screen.

    I've had this issue on 2 separate phones.

    When I press and hold text in YouTube comments the regular pop-up shows (copy/paste/cut etc). But the pop-up has a big black frame around the text that covers more than half of my screen.

    This only happens in the YouTube app.

    Anyone else have this issue or anyone know how to solve it?

    Media Audio low during call

    So when I'm in a call with whoever, my media volume always becomes lower than usual. Nothing is wrong with the speakers bc when I'm not in the call, the speakers work perfectly fine. When I try and adjust the volume, after I pass a certain amount, the volume doesn't go any higher.

    Corrupted phote deleted my entire photo album

    Yesterday i came across a corrupted photo inside on of my gallery albums. As i always do i deleted it but after a couple of seconds my entire album was gone! I checked the recycle bin and tried to search for the album inside the phone using file manager but no it just vanished. Can i restore it somehow ? My device : Samsung galaxy s8+
