| Is it possible to control an Android phone with broken screen? Posted: 23 May 2021 06:53 AM PDT So, I'v got a phone with a non-working screen and would like to control it (preferably using a Mac (this logically also includes Linux-tools) or another Android phone or TV). It must be possible to install and delete apps, run and control apps, settings etc, preferably exactly like having a second screen or running headless on a server. Is this possible somehow? I'm looking with a rom that has; 1.Almost the same camera quality as the stock rom. 2.Good battery life. and 3.Less bloatware than MIUI. | Transfer large video files to PC? Samsung S8+ Posted: 23 May 2021 06:00 AM PDT Whenever I try to transfer my photos/videos from phone to PC, via cable, the large files (e.g. 3 minute video ~380MB) simply dont transfer and a number of others are corrupted and wont show thumbnails/play. The files are on the MicroSD card. Also tried uploading to google drive, but those large files also dont transfer (without any error message either). The "corrupted" ones do though. Have also tried SuperBeam Pro and transfers fail after some time and a few files moved with error message that the sending device disconnected (or similar). Screen is kept active, and both device not being used for anything else at teh time [link] [comments] |

| Need help connecting bluetooth soundbar to tv Posted: 23 May 2021 10:39 AM PDT So i've been using a new samsung bluetooth soundbar. The T4 Series. It was working fine all week then randomly stopped one day and will not connect to the tv. The tv is a Series 7 (55) UN55RU7200f . Tried using the smartthings app to connect it but the speaker will not appear when i scan for nearby devices. Have tried every instruction listed on their website to no avail as well as resetting everything over and over. Any suggestions to help? [link] [comments] |

Today I've downloaded three android updates back to back and it's prompted me for a fourth. Infuriating. On android ver10. | My Android microphone does not work properly on third party apps Posted: 23 May 2021 10:05 AM PDT I just recently got a TCL 105G, and while the phone is good for it's price, every time I record or call on a third party app (Snapchat, Google Duo, TikTok, Instagram) the microphone is muffled or the person I'm on the phone with says they can't hear me. | DND turning itself on at 6:10 AM Posted: 23 May 2021 09:19 AM PDT I've had the issue for a while of DND automatically turning itself on at 6:10 AM every day. I can turn it off at 6:09 AM (or any other time) and it turns back on at 6:10. There are no schedules set, so I'm not sure why it does it. | Apps won't display notifications unless I open them Posted: 23 May 2021 08:54 AM PDT One is a mood tracking app and the other is a language learning app. They are both meant to send me reminders to log/complete tasks, but they don't unless I open the apps or restart my device. When I have no headphones plugged in it won't make any noise, even if it says the volume is at max, but when I plug in headphones it plays the audio both out loud and in headphones. | Using an Android to connect to VPN, share internet and fool work laptop IP Posted: 23 May 2021 07:54 AM PDT Hi everyone, Rather cryptic question: I'm going to be working remotely for some weeks but my company has some silly issues with taking laptops abroad without official permission which takes too long to get. I can't tweak the work laptop too much as I don't have admin rights plus I don't want IT detecting unusual activities, but I'm definitely taking it with me and need to figure out how not to trigger any geolocation related alerts. Is there a way to fool the laptop into thinking it's connecting to my home country ISP? I was thinking potentially taking my android tablet as well, logging into my VPN back home through OPENVPN, and somehow sharing that internet connection as a hotspot to which my laptop would connect but I don't know if this is feasible, or how I'd go about doing it or if an app would do this? Is there any other way to generate a wifi signal VPNed and fast enough to remote work? Maybe not through android but a built-in router VPN connecting from abroad e.g. an Eero? Any help appreciated. | Samsung Galaxy A40 Factory Reset without Passcode Posted: 23 May 2021 07:08 AM PDT My brother changed his pincode on his Samsung Galaxy A40 to a pattern and later forgot the pattern. He managed to backup all his data while the phone was still powered on. He later powered it off and since then he isn't able to reset it. He wanted to go into recovery mode and reset it there, but since OneUI 3 you need to have to phone connected to a pc if you want to boot into recovery mode. When i do that and power the device off by holding POWER & VOLUME DOWN, the charging symbol appears. I have also tried resetting the device via Find my Device with the Google Account, but that's also not possible because airplane mode is activated and can't be disabled without the unlock pattern. Is there any way to reset the phone?? (It doesn't matter if everything gets lost) (USB Debugging is disabled) [link] [comments] |

It said that the estimated capacity was 4349 mah, the design capacity is 5000 mah. But when I installed AccuBattery on my Huawei Y7a the estimated capacity was around 4700 mah when I just installed the app. Should I just drain the battery of the Redmi Note 10 and then charge it to 100 percent? | Need help by installing TWRP.. Posted: 23 May 2021 07:01 AM PDT I have this very old motorola atrix with android 2 so i want to install TWRP on it but i've had no luck it just would not flash.. I've tried fastboot but it won't work. | can't adb backup an app's data even though allowbackup is set to true Posted: 23 May 2021 06:48 AM PDT Hello, so i am trying to backup an app from my old phone using adb backup (im trying to backup "Green The Planet 2") and for some reason the backup doesnt work when i restore it. I was able to decompress the .ab file to a .tar file using Android Backup extractor, and the only thing inside the .tar is a _manifest file. I checked the app's manifest xml and allowbackup is set to true, but i still can't backup the data. Any help would be appreciated, thank you [link] [comments] |

I've a SD Card where I've moved many apps, but the space that's left available always gets filled by something. It's almost a ritual of everyday for me to keep deleting cache files with CCleaner, I've removed media files specially from WhatsApp too. Cellphone: Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime with 16 GB and a 30 GB SD Card I saw this post with a similiar problem as I but my Android folder is like 150Mb and I dind't found any weird logs This picture is my storage (I'm sorry it's in spanish), as it seems not all files reach the 16GB mark all together. | Chrome Virus notifications from: chess-progress.ru Posted: 23 May 2021 04:19 AM PDT I have been getting notifications from chess-progress.ru in my Samsung the last two days. The notifications says things like "you can win a gift card" "problem in your phone, press this link to fix it now" etc. I have off course not pressed any of these links and I don't know where it comes from. When I run Kaspesky and AVG AntiVirus they don't find any virus in my phone. If I deactivate chrome it dissappear but when I activate chrome it returns.
