    So my 75" Sony Bravia just updated to the latest Android TV... like many other people here I'm shocked and enraged about the recommendations / suggestions / ads of whatever the fuck they are all over my home screen.

    Fucking dancing with the stars and big brother on an app I dont and never will use! No way to switch it off! I am absolutely fucking livid, I feel like my expensive TV is ruined!

    From what I have read so far there is no solution other than rolling back to an older OS? Please let me know if there is a better solution

    Google TV chromecast stuttering 4K videos via OTG

    I have tried to play various 4K videos (from 8 to 30GB) via an usb-c hub on my recently bought Google TV chromecast and they are almost unplayable in varios media players. I tried VLC, native player, ES File Explorer.

    I have used a 120GB usb 3.0 and a 1TB HDD, both formatted to NTFS and opening them via ES File Explorer. They both work well in my Sony Bravia smart tv, but not with the Google TV Chromecast.

    Any idea to play the files? Is the chromecast not powerfull enough?

    Can't wireless debug CCwGTV

    Wireless debug on CCwGTV fails with error 10060

    I want to adb connect to my CCwGTV, but it keeps failing with the message:

    cannot connect to <device IP>:5555: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond. (10060)

    Some facts:

    1. CCwGTV is using static IP address
    2. My computer is in the same wifi network as the CCwGTV
    3. Developer options are ON
    4. USB Debugging is ON
    5. I try to connect to it via adb.exe connect <device IP>

    Any hints as to why this keeps failing?

    Can I cast from PC to SmartYoutubeNext?

    I can easily cast from my phone to SmartYoutubeNext, by adding the TV code provided by SmartYoutubeNext to the Youtube / Vanced app on my phone. I do so by selecting "Link with TV code" in the "cast" section of the app.

    However, when I try to cast from chrome on my PC, I do not get the option to "Link with TV code". Therefore, I can't add SmartYoutubeNext with the code.

    Is there a way to stream from PC to SmartYoutubeNext?

    Sony 4K TV (850G) running Android TV - Connected Logitech C920 Webcam - Sideloaded Zoom but Microphone not working. Need Help please.

    I have the Logitech C920 webcam connected to Sony Bravia (850G) TV. I sideloaded Zoom and everything except the Microphone works. For some reason the microphone is not working so no one can hear me.

    I read that it could be because of the built-in microphone on the remote. Is there anything that can be done to switch to the webcam microphone to make it work?

    Is there a T9 keyboard available for Android TV?

    Using the arrow keys to select letters on the standard on screen keyboard is damn annoying.

    I'm looking for a keyboard that allows me to use the remote in a T9 fashion, like phones in the good old days, but I can't seem to find any in the Play store.

    (Not looking to buy a new remote, just want a T9 virtual keyboard that understands 0-9 as letters.)

    Chromecast home screen is unusable

    It worked late last night, but today it has lost its mind.

    When the Chromecast is on the home screen, and I try to move down to my row of apps, it hangs up on the advertising frame that cycles through ads for stuff I'm not interested in on channels I don't subscribe to. And instead of those ads cycling through every few seconds like I'm used to, they're cycling fast enough in only seeing the residual images of one or two. It's really just zooming by. Then I can't move off of that.

    I have a workaround for when it's stuck. I can use the Home key to put the cursor back on the menu on top of the screen, then move to Apps, and choose the app I want to use (usually YouTube).

    I have reset the Chromecast to factory spec and it didn't correct this problem.

    Any ideas?

    TCL - Terms & Conditions

    Does anyone know I can agree the terms and conditions on a TCL 55C815K Android TV. There doesn't appear to be an agree or confirm button for me. As a result, I'm unable to use the Freeview play app until the manufacturers terms and conditions are agreed.

    Setup Screen Music

    When we first got our Sony Bravia TV with Android TV and I went through the setup process, the setup screen had some music playing in the background. When I tried to find out what this music was (months after I set up the tv), I could not find anything about this song. I wasn't able to find the tune on YouTube or Soundcloud, and trying to search "sony bravia setup music" or "android tv setup music" didn't give me any results. The song itself sounded like a mysterious tune, with something that sounded like wind blowing playing through it. Does anyone know where this music comes from or where I can listen to it again?

    MI tv 4X custom screen saver?

    Hi all. I have a Mi tv 4X. I want to know how to set custom screen saver for my tv. There is no option for custom pics in the screen saver settings.

    If a third party app is the way then can you suggest any good apps? I want to use pics that i took.

    Best Bang4Buck TV Box

    Hi,

     

    We are looking for 2 Android Tv Boxes to hook our tv's on to watch Netflix and other apps (Videoland, Ziggo (Dutch)

    Now I found these Tv boxes:

    Android 9

    Android 10

    Android 11

    But I'm confused which one is the "best", mostly because they all seem similar but with different cpu's/gpu's and I cant really find which one is the "better" one.

     

    At first we wanted to go for a Google Chromecast, Amazon Firestick or Xiaomi Mi Box S, but after seeing their specs (1GB-2GB Ram etc.) I'm unsure if this is still the best option.

     

    Could anyone help me pick a good TV box?
