| android 11 gestures not working properly i think my issue is unique Posted: 27 Apr 2021 02:37 AM PDT my problem is that when i open an app from the app icon and close it using android 11 gestures the animation is not there and the app just closes and switches screens to my home screen but when i swipe up and hold and open the app through the recents menu and try to close it the animation works im using syslemless oneplus launcher magisk module and quick switch with the one plus launcher set as the recents provider while ruthless launcher is set as my home launcher its really annoying, also im using fluidos 1.3 rom on a redmi note 8 [link] [comments] |
| Factory reset on S20 Note Ultra without being able to use the screen? Posted: 27 Apr 2021 09:57 AM PDT A week ago, I woke up and my phone screen was black and unresponsive. But, the phone was still on. I could hear vibration when pressing buttons, and had haptic feedback from trying to enter my passcode. If a call came in, I could answer it by swiping, and could clear my morning alarm doing the same. Tried doing soft resets in various ways, and tried everything I could find online. One time the phone displayed the samsung logo when starting up, but hasn't since. Also, there is no damage to the screen or the phone itself. I ordered a replacement phone through warranty, and have everything switched over. But, I'm unable to do a factory reset. I was able to clear my photos, messages, and delete data sensitive apps using Dex, but would really like to completely wipe the phone, if at all possible, before sending back. Dex won't allow a reset, unfortunately. Any other ideas for doing a factory reset before I send this thing back? [link] [comments] |

I use Firefox for navigation, a secure email service (like Protonmail) and other services like these, but I didn't find a good Gboard alternative. My question is: said that Android is strictly linked to Google, is it possible that Google tracks my activity on the phone even if I use secure services like Firefox and so on? I'm talking about navigation history, text typed in password forms in the apps... | Instagram UI overlapping everything Posted: 27 Apr 2021 12:29 PM PDT I have an S9 and my screen appears to be glitching. The row of buttons at the bottom of instgram like home, explore, reels, shopping, and profile are displaying overtop my screen. It is kind of faded and easiest to notice when my screen is a bright color. I have tried restarting my phone multiple times and deleting instagram. I wonder the buttons are burned onto my screen from spending too much time on it, i dont know if that can happen, it doesn't show up when I take a screenshot. Posted: 27 Apr 2021 10:19 AM PDT I find myself needing to use my Galaxy S20 as a mobile hotspot a lot lately, and as a developer, I tend to handle interactions between the two devices wirelessly using protocols like SFTP and SSH. At home, both devices are connected to the same network, so there aren't any issues. However, on the road, when using my phone as a WiFi hotspot with my laptop connected to it, I haven't been able to connect to via FTP for example despite the server running on thte phone. But when playing locally stored music (mp3, flac) through any player, (I've tried Samsung Music, Poweramp and gallery) some audio files are terribly distorted, it feels like listening to walkie-talkie... I've tried various options under Developer Settings but nothing helped. Disabling equalizer did nothing and disabling volume synch made my headphones quieter, but the problem persists. My phone is Samsung Galaxy S7 with Android 8.0 and headphones are i12TWS. They've been working just fine playing the exact same music through Samsung Music on Galaxy Note 4 for years. | Redmi 9 (lancelot) unusable after trying to root Posted: 27 Apr 2021 09:03 AM PDT Hello, I unlocked the bootloader of my phone and tried to root it. In the final step "fastboot reboot" it ended up in a boot loop (without seeing the miui logo, just Redmi over and over again). But I still had access to fastboot mode. Then I downloaded a stock ROM and tried to flash it with at least 3 tools(MiFlash, SP Tools and another one) and they all failed somehow; some gave "auth" errors, some "preloader.bin" errors etc.. So I started downloading another stock ROM and put the phone in fastboot mode again. The download took at least an hour and I left the phone in fastboot mode during that time. When I came back it was a black screen, so I tried to re-open fastboot mode or try to boot it normally, nothing. I don't get any feedback or vibration from any combination of keys, it doesn't light up when charged, no lights, nothing. Also the hardware is fine. Yes I tried to leave it in charge for hours, still nothing. I do get the "windows usb sound" when I connect it to my laptop, and I get it over and over again (like once in every 10 seconds or so), kinda like when it was boot looping, but this time with no boots and a complete black screen. What do you think I should do? I'm fine with any complete reset/wipe/lock option. Thank you! TLDR; I tried to root my redmi 9 and now the screen is completely black and unusuable [link] [comments] |

Posted: 27 Apr 2021 06:47 AM PDT My approximately 1.5 year old Samsung Galaxy A30s suddenly dies from about 15% very quickly. It has also started charging from about 85-90% to 100% very quickly too. I've had some battery issues in the past, but the last one was fixed with a free battery replacement 9 months ago and I've had no problems since then. Overall charging and battery drainage hasn't seemed to change at all, and no apps have caused any battery drainage either, according to the device care app. I updated my phone today and the problem is still here. I normally charge my phone to at least 90% from usually over 25% daily. Please, if anyone knows what to do, tell me. Thanks in advance for any help:) [link] [comments] |

I plugged them for charging today and after I got them I get only call audio no media. What I tried. Other bluetooth speaker works fine, the jbl headphones show the same problem with a different samsung phone. I tried toggling the bluetooth option for media but it gets disabled immediately. I unpaired, I restarted my phone, I reseted headphones, i tinkered with developer options a bit to no avail. Any ideas? [link] [comments] |

| Galaxy Tab S stuck at boot screen after returning to Stock ROM from rooted / custom ROM Posted: 26 Apr 2021 05:36 PM PDT After I rooted my Galaxy Tab S (SM-T700) and installed a custom ROM, tablet began freezing at random times, and was unable to even power off. It would be stuck until it ran out of battery. So now I'm trying to reinstall the stock firmware / ROM, but after flashing (successfully) with ODIN, the tablet gets stuck at the SAMSUNG boot screen, and just sits there vibrating occasionally. I cannot get into recovery mode from here, and even just powering down doesn't work, the only thing I can do is reboot back into download mode. I have tried reflashing with ODIN and it is still getting stuck at the same boot screen. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks! [link] [comments] |

| Separate music from navigation guidance sounds Posted: 27 Apr 2021 02:42 AM PDT Hi, In Waze there is a feature for navigation guidance to be played via the phone speaker whilst other sounds (music apps) can continue over bluetooth. There doesn't appear to be any setting (that works) for Google Maps to do the same. Is there any app, or other way, that you can split which apps play over which devices? Thanks in advance.
