| Posted: 26 Feb 2021 07:55 AM PST Besides trying to figure out what IPTV service provider to use I am experiencing technical oddities. So I got a Formuler GTV and hooked it up into my Sony AVR. Using the same service provider using M3u link into tivimate and also into mytvonline2 apps. The tivimate one does not seem to let through 5.1 sound whereas mytvonline2 does... exact same movie by exact same provider. So it seems depending on what app I use on the box I may or may not get 5.1 sound (if the source has it of course). The GTV box does not seem to allow RAW/Passthrough of the sound to let my AVR handle all of that instead of the box... I think this may fix the issue but not sure... so I think I will dump the GTV and get Nvidia TV instead... anyone have experience with this kind of thing and think that will fix it? Also, using the Amazon Prime app on the GTV, when the content played is 4k HDR it comes out very washed out image in TV... my TV and AVR can handle HD10+ and Dolby Vision etc... so I don't know why this is happening either. My Firestick is in the same AVR and the image is just fine. I have been at this now for about 12 hours over the last couple of days and ready just to take advice on what is the best thing to do. I don't like the Smarters app interface. So looking for one that works on Nvidia Shield TV, good interface, process HD/FHD/UHD image and 5.1 sound etc correctly. And recommendations of a good content provider of live (mainly uk) and vod (in English and big choice) to stream FHD/UHD. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 25 Feb 2021 11:37 PM PST I am using Project M through my Chromecast on my TV and it is working quite wonderfully. I would like to know if there's a way to set up a playlist of visualizers for the tv. The mobile version of the app seems to have this functionality. Or maybe there's a way to link my mobile app to the TV one? I bought the full version for my TV but I only have the demo on my phone. Regardless, I just want to select like my top 10 favorite visualizers and have it cycle through those. Any help would be great, thanks! [link] [comments] | ||

| Start and Select Buttons on Shield Game Controller? Posted: 25 Feb 2021 10:50 AM PST I have sideloaded both stadia and Xbox game pass on to my Nvidia shield. Many of the games require a dedicated "start" and "select button". I know the "play/pause" button works in most games as a "start button," but the "home button," "back button" and "Google Assistant button" on my shield controller can not be remapped in game. It would be great if there were separate profiles for the active app that was opened. When I'm on my home screen I want those buttons to act as their default, but when I am in apps like stadia, game pass, or Nvidia GeForce it would be great if these buttons we're more functional to the applications and games running. Is there a way to re-map buttons on my Nvidia shield gamepad to be dedicated start and select buttons? I have Button Mapper Pro, but do not see an option to remap buttons to specific keystrokes, which I can then use in game to map using the in game button mapper. I also was having a hard time in some of the games like monster hunter finding a option in the game to remap the game controller to begin with. Do any of you have suggestions or solutions?
