| Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:04 AM PST I'm trying to get a very specific look for my homescreen (Nova Launcher) and I'm hoping custom widgets are my answer. Basically I'd like a widget that just launches an app when you click it (so functionally the same as an app icon), or ideally with mulitple app-launching buttons side by side (so functionally the same as two app icons side-by-side) or else something that lets you launch apps after a few presses (so functionally like an app folder). I never use widgets and this is a pretty niche use case, so can anyone give some advice or at least let me know if this is possible? | Developer mode not showing even after clicking build number many times Posted: 17 Feb 2021 10:44 PM PST I am trying to root s7 edge and when i click on build number to activate it says "No need, developer mode has already been enabled". Yet I can't find it anywhere in my settings. I've tried clearing the settings app data and rebooting several times but none of it has worked. Even tried some developer mode shortcut apps and even they didn't work. What could be going wrong? [link] [comments] |

Whenever I'm in games the bottom of the screen doesn't respond because of the navigation bar at the bottom, the problem is here in both portrait and landscape mode. I used to be able when I had the OG Pixel, but haven't been able to figure out if it's possible with the Pixel 3. | Messages app takes forever to send messages Posted: 18 Feb 2021 10:20 AM PST Today, out of nowhere, my messages app started acting up. Messages I send sometimes disappear, sometimes the little type bubble and keyboard don't show up so I can't type to reply to messages, and when things do open up okay, my messages take forever to send. They disappear for a while, then show up in the thread but say "sending" for a long time. I've tried clearing the cache and using it on Safe Mode, but it's still boggy. My signal is fine too. I really want to avoid a factory reset because it would take forever for me to back everything up on my computer. Is there anything short of that I can do? [link] [comments] |
| After I updated my Samsung galaxy s10 from android 10 to android 11 I have problems with charging. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 09:27 AM PST So for some reason, it keeps showing the message that it had detected water or dust in the USB port and the message will stay there until my battery will discharge, and only then I am able to charge it. I've tried "drying" it with a hairdryer on the coldest setting so that I wouldn't damage my phone, but it still comes up. Also, fast charging doesn't work anymore even though it's turned on in the settings. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 18 Feb 2021 12:55 PM PST Hi, can I get some help? I am losing it... So i did a factory reset on my dad's phone and now I can only open google and chrome. I cannot log in to google play store it says "Couldn't sign in. There was a problem communicating with Google services. Try again later." Phone is Huawei model number :ALE-L21 Android version 6.0 I cannot opet facebook (it says "Facebook version invalid for device" but I cannot update without google play store. It won't open twitter, I need to update YT to use it (can't). Google maps works, but can't sign in. BTW I am signed in to google and chrome. It doesn't make sence. Pleaseee help me, thanks!! | Galaxy A12 has only 4 other camera modes, missing a bunch. Posted: 18 Feb 2021 12:51 PM PST So whilst getting around the camera of my new phone, I wondered if it has a night mode. So upon looking it up, there's only one website which shows that there's supposed to be a hell of a lot of different modes, including super slow mo and night mode. I can't see any of those. I only have panorama, food mode, macro, and pro. Clearing data for the camera app does nothing and there's not articles online about this being a problem. After that i was confused why already 40gb storage were full ( my old phone only had 32gb). After checking Diskusage i was even more confused. I'm currently on Android 10 and One UI 2.1. Per ATT website I'm about 6 updates behind. I spoke with ATT who said they would push the updates to my phone. I never got them. | Please, I'm begging for some help Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:31 AM PST So, I have a Samsung Galaxy A9 2018. I also have a Galaxy Tab S5E. I recently learned that the Galaxy Tab S5E is going to receive the android 11/one ui 3 updates. The Galaxy A9 2018 will not. I will have a literal meltdown if my devices aren't on the same ui but i can't NOT update my devices because something inside of me is gnawing away telling me that I must and I won't be able to sleep at night. I've had a similar problem before where the Tab S5E updated to one ui 2.0 before my previous phone did. I couldn't use it again for weeks and couldn't sleep at all because they werent running the same. To counter this issue, I have decided I will just root my phone to get the update so that I can have them running on the same ui ahead of time. I have no rom to put on my Galaxy A9, however, and this is causing me a great deal of stress because I cannot find anywhere online on how to edit ROMs or to find one that works with my model and it starting to stress me out. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can do? Any help will be appreciated. Quick Info Dump: No. I cannot buy a newer phone because I can't afford it. Thanks [link] [comments] |
