Netflix shows and movies don’t show up on my Google TV!

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 03:14 PM PST

They do show up when I specifically search for them. But I don't see the option to watch them on Netflix!

Does anyone else have the same issue? What gives?

Getting my synology ds218+ Nas to work with My Android TV

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 09:59 AM PST

Hey guys, hope you are well amongst the madness. So I have a ds218+ which has a load of docker images running such as plex and Jellyfin. Now I have been getting choppy playback with anything that is H.265 encoded and h.264 is fine. So looking at the NAS performance it seems it can't cope with it, so I bought and android TV box. How do I get it to do the work rather than the NAS.

Android TV Launcher - missing/strange animation (Android 9, Sony XF9005)

Hey guys, I have a Sony XF9005 running Android 9 and I am facing a strange issue about the stock Android TV Launcher. As you can see on the video when I press the home button on the remote there is 2 second delay between pressing the button and the appearance of the home screen.

I think it should work like when I press the back button to close an application, then the home screen appears with a nice smooth transition without noticeable delay (2nd attempt in the video).

What do you think, is there any kind of solution for this issue? It is really frustrating for me.

Philips tv sound hollow on Disney+?

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 02:14 PM PST

I have a Philips 4K TV, version 9 (this is the info in the About menu but I'm sure I'll need more specifics). Running Disney+ in its app (i.e. not from Chromecast) through the TV's speakers (i.e. no surround sound or anything), the audio is off, like the characters are stuck in a bottle. Other apps (Netflix/Hulu/PBS Kids/sports streaming) don't seem to have the same problem. This seems to be Disney+ encoding their audio differently than my TV wants to receive it, but I don't know what to do to fix it and taking guesses at the Digital Output setting or messing with the EQ don't seem to help.

    Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Since all I read only its about how I should pick the Amlogic S905X3 instead of everything lol

any opinions on this? thanks in advance!

Recommandation for 1080p tv - Netflix and similar apps

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 09:08 AM PST

Hi! I'm searching for a relatively cheap solution for my family. The main purpose is to watch Netflix (and maybe others services like Amazon Prime and Disney Plus). Tv is not smart and limited to 1080p so I don't care about 4K support. I would like an ethernet port for more stability. Any recommandations? Thanks for the help.

    Edit: spelling

Website works on Desktop but not on App

    Posted: 07 Jan 2021 02:31 PM PST

In this case i'm able to access Hulu from my desktop browser and pc app.

When i try on my tv or xbox it recognizes it's outside of my home network. Any way of "middle-maning" the traffic so that the tv traffic looks like the desktop?
