    I am beyond amazed how amazing my new Philips 58PUS8505/12 TV is... until I want to cast something or turn it off. Could you please help with these issues? I have tried everything, from factory resseting, linking different Google accounts to contacting the support.

    1. Google Home integration is messed up as hell! Technically, the TV has been added to Google Home app and I can change its volume but here it ends. I cannot turn it off (or on) with just my voice. I cant open Youtube or Netflix, nothing. I get no response from Google Home or I get the usual "check the manual whether this is supported". It is, it worked completely fine on my way older Android TV and Mi Box.
    2. Chromecast built in works - 10 minutes after turning on the TV, then it simply disappears as a target from all my apps. Supporting app on TV is running in the background, the result is still the same if I try to uninstall the updates.
    3. This is rather a complain but is it just me or this TV is killing apps like crazy. Even the launcher is loading everytime I go back home..

    I know it may seems stupid but I use my TV rather as a screen. Both voice control and casting are crucial to me. Do you have similar problems or is just me?

    Looks like a fix for the microphone issue with Duo is available in a recent security patch

    Someone at the Issue Tracker website said to have received an update to his/her Phillips TV with the security patch dated november 24th 2020 and claims the issue with the microphone with Duo is finally fixed.

    Looks like Google delivered the fix in that security patch but it's still something to be confirmed.

    Has anyone else received that security patch?

    Limited YT quality on 60fps videos

    Hello, everyone

    I'm coming with a problem that was mentioned here about limited quality on YT for Philips users. After some digging and checking turns out it only affects 60fps videos, everything else up to 4K works fine. So I came here to ask, especially Philips users, if you have similar issues or maybe everything is fine for you, or if maybe other brands TV users had that problem. It's really annoying cause after contacting support they say that vod platforms only caused problems, and it's google/youtube fault for those issues. It's slowly pissing me off cause it's been a thing since November and still no fixes have been issued.

    Question about Sheild TV Pro 2015 SSD Upgrade

    Hi

    I know this topic has been discussed a ton over the years since some successfully replaced the SSHDD drive in the Shield TV Pro. But I have a question.

    My Shield TV Pro is an original 2015 version with the 500GB hard drive. Lately, it has been slow to boot and sometimes freezes completely. I'm ready to undertake replacing the internal drive with a Samsung 860 EVO 2.5" SATA III 500GB Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B) (https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-SATA-500GB-Internal-MZ-76E500B/dp/B07HSYJ4JJ/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=Samsung+500GB+EVO&qid=1610552476&sr=8-6)

    My only available computers are 2 Mac's. One running Catalina and the other High Sierra. I sure can reboot into a Linux live CD but I'm wondering if I could just clone the drive right from the command line. I'd like to get a USB Dual Hard Drive Dock like this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Dual-Bay-External-Duplicator-Tool-free-Supported-Update/dp/B073QLNV5Z/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=USB+Hard+Drive+Dock&qid=1610589202&sr=8-6

    I can't clone to the Mac and then clone back onto the new SSD, both Mac's only have 256 GB internal drives :(

    So here are my planned steps:

    1. I'm not going to unlock the bootloader or factory reset beforehand
    2. Remove the drive from Shield TV following this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BlodnUU4Cl8&t=1s
    3. Place drive into the Dual Dock along with the new Samsung EVO Drive
    4. Copy using DD from the Mac Terminal
    5. Exact Command: "dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb" (Of course I will fdisk -l to make sure sda and sdb are the correct drives.) (P.S. according to the man page this command is supposed to do a byte-to-byte exact copy of the drive. Bet it's going to take a long time for 500GB)
    6. Pop the new Samsung EVO back into the Shield TV
    7. Boot and test everything
    8. Profit!

    Can you see any problems or potential errors that I might come across?

    I've seen tons of guides using Windows computers or Linux live environments but not one with a Mac.

    Mi Box 4K S - my 2 external drives corrupted and kicked out

    Hi, i got me now an Xaomi Box s (MiBox4). And i wanted to put my 2 external hdds over and usb hub on the box to watch my stuff. But the box says that the external hdds (NTFS) are corrupted and kicks them out automaticaly out.

    Hub is extra powered, just like the 2 external hdds (4TB). With the HDDs on my fritzbox, kodi finds them. And there is no problem when i put my 500gb external (no extra power) on the MiBox. Even the MiBox finds it then.

    Somebody knows how i can get it to work?

    6 years ago our family got this TV, thinking it was Samsung through some cheap market, though it still cost about 350$. I recently checked though it's model number, it says LEDTV, lol. Looked at the back and it says "32F6300" and made in Bankok.

    I'm pretty sure it's fake because I can't find the same TV anywhere on the internet. The UI looks very identical to the old T95Q Android TV Box. It's running Kitkat.

    But since it's Android, can I flash it with a custom ROM somehow, and maybe do something about it? Any ideas?

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Mi Box 4K S, YouTube Stutter

    Hi all Have this issue with Mi Box 4K S running AndroidTV 9 where YouTube App will work fine on fresh boot up but when I come back to my TV later in the day it will stutter the sound every second or start for a few seconds and then stop. It's a new Mi Box and I have also tried all Android updates and even a full restore but to no avail. Any suggestions? Thanks

    Sony Android TV

    Hi Guys;

    I am a bit confused. Do I need to use an Android TV box if I buy a Sony Android TV?

    My TCL gave out and I am in the market for a new TV. I used a Xiaomi Mi Box with my TCL for Kodi and it was a pain. So, I was hoping that buying an Android TV would mean that I no longer have to use my Android TV box.

    Netflix causes random reboot of Philips Android TV

    Hi.

    I bought a used Philips 50PUK6400 and have the following issue:

    Netflix sometimes stops and then the entire TV Reboots. I think it has something to do with the internet connection which is not the greatest in my apartment but can I somehow avoid those random reboots? And does anyone know what's the actual issue for this?

    Hello guys,

    I'm going from deception to deception with my so called "smart" TV that actualy doesn't do much. But it was rather expensive and I'm not looking to replace it anytime soon, so I have to adapt.

    Next issue in line, no Disney + app in my TV, not download available eiher. And WandafreakinVision is coming. Imagine the stress.

    So, that's it. I'm buying an Android box or TV box, don't know yet. I hate blind buying and Reddit is now so much better that most reviews you can get. So, here's what i'm looking for :

    - An at least HDR Android Box (would rather have a full Android access than just the Android TV, but it would work)

    - RJ45 ethernet connection, this is a must, or that buy won't be no use due to my shitty Wifi.

    - Having a Bluetooth connected keyboard would be a plus.

    - My TV is on a wall, so having the option to fix the box under would be great (that's a gimmick, I know, but gimmicks are important).

    I don't know much about this tech field, kindof a newbie, so all advices are very much welcomed.

    Keeps freezing Videos mecool km3

    Could someone tell me how to fix freezing bug? Mecool km3 android 10. Internet speed 120mbs on box

    Tried a lot iptv apps tivimate, televizo and others and with all of them keeps freezing. Only goes sound and video freezes.

    Tried power off, cleaned caches. Also tried couple iptv other sellers and its the same.

    Any one have idea how to fix it? Maybe downgrade firmware to 9 but how to do it?
