- Android tv keeps rebooting after 5-10 minutes and boots in to recovery mode. I’ve tried resetting the device, but it keeps doing this.

Is there an overview for all the brands/models? | Posted: 25 Jan 2021 02:23 PM PST Is it by design (or the app developer's fault) that when you click on "Watch Now" from Google TV it plays the last episode of a series, and not the first / next episode? It's been really annoying. I found the new Star Trek Lower Decks through Google TV, and I was watching the last episode of the series for 20 minutes before noticing the problem. Edit: It's worth adding I've since isolated this issue to Prime Video, with playing the last episode in the series. Other apps (BBC iPlayer) are smarter. [link] [comments] | ||
| RealMe Android TV - Unable to change default Homescreen to HAL Launcher Posted: 25 Jan 2021 10:59 PM PST Bought the RealMe Android TV (version 9.0) 108 cm (43 inch). Followed the steps mentioned in the thread to change default Homescreen to HAL Launcher. https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/162935/completely-change-home-screen-on-android-tv But after uninstalling the Google tvlauncher and leanback launcher, the home button takes to screen which shows only the wallpaper. Eventhough HAL Launcher installed, it didn't use that. Also long press of back button didn't show the option to choose launcher. I also installed Button mapper to change the home button mapping. But after installing Button Mapper, the accessibility menu stopped working. Not able to see the options under accessibility menu. I had to reset the TV to factory settings. I'm interested in importing the latest google chromecast with TV, but as i understand it, currently it's only available for US market, and more or less customized for US market currently. If i happen to import it and use it on unsupported region, would i receive an update to firmware that's more customized to my region later when available ? | Posted: 25 Jan 2021 11:59 PM PST If I select audio automatic it show no 5.1 in Netflix, Disney plus or anything and it plays stereo pcm 2.0. If I select manual and select Dolby DTS etc is show 5.1 in de APPs but there is no sound. My PlayStation is on the same tv and I have a Sonos arc. And that works just fine. | Samsung 6950Fx2A and android device Posted: 25 Jan 2021 03:49 PM PST I've tried 3 different devices android devices and w/ all 3 the screen will go black then back on even w/ the device on the home page (over and over) devices do work on any other tv. they have dish on an Hdmi tried that and other Hdmi plugs so not hardware. | GoogleTV and ExpressVPN on Netflix Posted: 25 Jan 2021 07:53 AM PST Hey Guys, running across an odd issue on my Google TV. I live in Canada but use ExpressVPN for US Netflix, this works fine on FireTV but on google TV the VPN connects and Netflix shows they it's on US Netflix BUT shows are missing. For example Star Trek TOS, I was watching through on FireTV before getting Google TV, and works fine on VPN but on Google TV Star Trek of any series is missing from the US Netflix so I need to disable the VPN to go back to Canada Netflix to watch it. I thought the US must have removed the Star Trek series from the lineup. But I just checked the FireTV and my Home PC the series is on both US and Canada Netflix. So that leads me to believe GoogleTV its self is blocking access to certain shows for some reason? Anyone have any idea what's going on and Why? other shows play fine but shows like Star Trek and Twilight Zone(Twilight is only in the US so that's how I used to tell which one I was on) are missing on GoogleTV on VPN. | Posted: 25 Jan 2021 09:59 AM PST So I recently bought two android hisense TVs because I needed new ones and they were at a great price. I was really excited to get an android tv since I heard they have a bunch of stuff because it uses google play and not some other smart tv os. But now that I have it and I've used it for a little, boy am I disappointed. So first of all I can't have Apple TV. I wasn't TOO mad about that since there aren't many shows I watch on there, but it still sucks. Then I downloaded Disney plus and Amazon prime video, and I am completely disappointed. For Disney plus, the audio is a disaster. When I play a show (any show or movie, I've tried a bunch and it's all the same) the talking comes out of one side and the laughing track, sound effects or music, the other. So I hear the actors talking on one side and everything I hear on the other side which makes it really annoying to watch. Then for prime video, I just don't have profiles. Like on my account I have 4 different profiles but on the android tv I seem to have an old version of the app cause there is no selection whatsoever to switch, add, or even access ANY of the profiles that aren't the main one. My profile is not the main one so I can't use the app because I don't have access to my profile. So now I can basically just use YouTube and Netflix, which I find VERY disappointing since my Samsung TVs which have barely any apps, have more that what my android tv has. Do any of you have any ideas on how I could fix any of the problems I have with prime or Disney plus? [link] [comments] | ||
