| Need a file explorer that can explore the Android folders in Android Q Posted: 31 Jan 2021 07:29 AM PST So I updated to Android Q today and one of my apps requires me to manually transfer a bunch of files to the Data folder for it to work. Unfortunately, there are thousands of files and transferring them by USB is taking over an hour. If I zip the files, place them on my phone, unzip them and then move them in a file explorer, it takes less than 5 minutes. My phone is rooted, but Solid File Explorer, my go-to file explorer, can't access the data or obb folders. Which, if any, file explorers on root can? [link] [comments] |

| Getting Spam Popups in Chrome... I use Firefox Posted: 31 Jan 2021 11:10 AM PST S10+, I use Firefox as my default browser. Recently when I unlock my phone after some time I will be greeted by several tabs open in Chrome that show ads for gambling websites. I have scanned with Avast and Malwarebytes but no luck. So, let's say I am on Instagram, you can swipe right to go to your DMs and swipe left to open camera but with the screen gestures on, it's impossible. | Google Play downloads stuck on "pending" after UI 3.1 update Tab S7 Posted: 31 Jan 2021 10:39 AM PST After updating to UI 3.1 I went to update my apps. Nothing will update or download but says "pending" I've tried clearing the cash and memory, restarting, disabling google play and Re enabling, and making sure only one app is downloading at a time. | Posted: 31 Jan 2021 10:37 AM PST Hi all. I'd like to boost my phones hotspot so that I could carry my phone around the house and still cast WiFi to various devices. All the googling I've done tries to imply that I have a weak phone signal and boosting that will make my hotspot stronger. But I have full bars and >80Mbs! The problem is that the WiFi antenna in my pixel 3a only seems good at casting a hotspot for maybe five meters max, after that the receiving device will lose connectivity. Is there a way I can wirelessly boost my hotspot signal so that I can cast a hotspot around the whole house with out having to keep my phone near receiving devices? I'm thinking some sort of router that my phone can connect to which will then boost and relay the hotspot. I did try setting up my old broadband router as a wireless relay, but it doesn't appear to be compatible with what I'm trying to do. Please help! [link] [comments] |

For quite a while, my phone acts like I am Russian or something like that. It's displaying prices in rubles, apps from the play store that should be available in my country (they are available on my mom's phone) are not there and recently I took a screenshot, put it on my pc to reverse image search for the thing and Google popped up some Russian text. I recently switched from a Samsung galaxy A50 to a Samsung galaxy S10 Lite, thinking that the actual phone could be the problem, but it looks like this was not the case. I think it might have something to do with my Google or Samsung accounts but I really don't know what to do about it. I'm from România, for the record, but getting the prices in rubles instead of euros or RON(the romanian currency) is a bit weird (even tho I get discounts, like I kinda pay half the price for stuff bought through Google services, I don't know how that works). Most annoying is not being able to install apps that definitely are avaliable in my country, like Lidl plus app. (I'm a student and I kinda need those discounts from there) Anyone got any idea on how to get this fixed? | How do I backup my files from my Samsung Galaxy phone with a broken screen? Posted: 31 Jan 2021 10:11 AM PST What would be the best way to backup my Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime? The screen on my Galaxy J7 Prime just suddenly blanked out and won't display anything, but the phone is defiantly still on as calls still come in. I've taken it to a Samsung Centre for repairs and I'm being told I'd need a screen replacement (which luckily is covered under my warranty. However, they've advised To back up my files as there is a risk of data loss in the process. The problem is because the screen is blank, there's no way to do this. I've tried to get a USB to HDMI cable to connect it to my TV and see if I can operate it that way and then backup, but I've had no luck [link] [comments] |

The only problem is the back is shattered. It's only the outer shell, the camera is fine, the screen is fine. I actually already bought a replacement for the back because I intended to get it fixed for my own use but I never got around to it. I called around to a few local repair shops and I think it'll cost me about $50 to fix, is it worth it? Or should I just sell it as is for $50 less than I otherwise would? So yesterday my Google Chrome in the background started randomly opening some spam websites usually 3 at a time every 40 minute's or so I'd say or maybe longer than that I'm not sure. All I know is that Google Chrome app is just randomly opening tabs open or not and even when it's force stopped. While its not much of an issue is rather get rid of it just in case etc. So the day it started I was mostly sleeping all day, I haven't installed anything and anything I did I deleted completely from my phone yet nothing seems to be doing anything it's super frustrating.
