Mobile gaming has become garbage and it will probably never be good again.

    Posted: 03 Jan 2021 11:36 AM PST

I grew up with mobile gaming. I didn't have a very good pc and i would use it to play whatever games i could find on the internet. When I got a tablet, everything changed for me. There were so many quality games made by either big companies or creative devs and i was introduced to a whole new world of gaming. Of course, it wasn't perfect, but most games that were recommended or were in the tops were actually good and playable and looked official. Ads showed actual gameplay or quality animations. Now, do i even have to say anything about what a joke mobile gaming has become? I just took a look at the top games on play store and died a bit on the inside. Almost every single game is the typical game you would see on a totally unrelated ad. It's the kind of games that are only good for wasting time and you would forget or uninstall in 2 days. Everything is filled with terrible ads and microtransactions. And the worst part of it? Almost nobody cares, there's so much money in it that nobody seems to care about fake and misleading ads and begging for money and actual good games with lots of work into them are left in the shadows for those who actually look for decent games. Everyone jokes about mobile gaming and some people don't even consider it gaming. I will never forget the golden era of mobile games. So much memories. Maybe it's because I've grown up and when I was smaller everything was more interesting, but i know for sure that it's gotten a lot worse. Does anyone else feel the same, or am I overreacting? Of course there's still good stuff out there, but I'm talking about the games that are being promoted and popular right now.

Can someone help me find this mobile game

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 11:06 PM PST

I have a distant memory of a mobile game in which you played as an old man who had to walk across tiles that would fall with many obstacles in his way. If you can find this game and tell me the name of it I would really appreciate it.

Why so many games gone from Google Play Store but not Apple App Store?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 03:23 PM PST

some Noodlecake games like Politaire, Sage Solitaire, and Spelltower are all gone but still in apple app store

Ridiculous Fishing is gone but still in app store (tried sideloading this one and it actually doesn't play nice with big screen, it's no longer updated apparently).

Slydris 2, the first one is one of my favorite, so I bought the 2nd one the moment it released only for the dev to pull it from Play Store, put in a shitty clone with stupidly generic name "Blocks", only for it to get pulled out again. The dev promised to re-release Slydris 2, but so far only the app store has it, the dev's other games are also only on app store so they're clearly prioritize apple.

    sorry for the rant

I feel like this is hurting people who want premium stuffs on android, but apps and games, either paid or free, can be puffed out of existence without seemingly any notice. You're lucky if you still have them installed.

can't really blame google if the dev themselves pull the apps/games though...

wish they make some way to really own the apps/games once you install them, maybe a library system similar to Steam.

    Play Pass family sharing

    Posted: 03 Jan 2021 05:46 AM PST

My wife just got a 2 month trial of Play Pass, but it won't let her share with our family group as she's not the manager.

I've searched around and can't find a straight answer other than delete the whole family group and start again. We don't really want to do this as our daughters child account is all set up with controls in the current group.

Does anyone know if either I can make my wife a co-manager, or a way she can share her Play Pass subscription?

[DEV] Corona virus got me started on my dream game.. OOOHH boy did i make it hard Lol.

    WARNING: This game is hard

Because of the virus I was forced to do doordash but my car was starting to give out, so I had to stop. Now i am home all the time and trying my best to keep sane, so i started my game LOL. I love south park primarily and always wanted to make a game inspired by it and this is what i came up with. You are more than welcome to try the demo and let me know what you think!

Best hero collector games out there?

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 07:16 PM PST

When it comes to mobile games, I prefer to keep it to hero collectors. What are your favorites? I've played a good amount of them (I think) and would love to know if there are any I missed.

For the record, I'm talking specifically hero collectors. Not a fan of gachas or idles. Both of those game types can die in a fire.

Out of the ones I tried my favorites ended up being:

Galaxy of Heroes, Marvel Strike Force, Dragon Champions and Age of Magic. SWGoH was my favorite for a while but CG, the developer has become far too greedy for my tastes. MSF is still my main with AoM threatening to take over that favorite spot. DC is fine. Fun game with a cutesy artstyle that doesn't take itself too seriously. If you like hero collectors and haven't tried Age of Magic yet, give it a shot for sure.

I also play Raid on the side but the gacha element is annoying. Another game I tried in closed beta testing was Awaken: Chaos Era. Also a gacha but much more f2p friendly. Gacha, idles and mobile mmorpgs just don't really interest me. But please let me know if there are any hero collectors I missed...that are also relatively new, maybe one or two years old at most.

Looking for a game like Rank Insignia but without crazy expensive IAP

    Posted: 02 Jan 2021 02:03 PM PST

    Hello,

I like Rank Insignia, but the IAP are ridiculous. almost $9 just to remove ads. And the ads are way too intrusive, watch an ad to double rewards for 10 mins, watch another to get extra bonus stuff, watch an add after every round etc.

The in game currency is too expensive too. The two upgrades that I would like to buy from the store would be almost $70. I am willing to spend a money, but not that much.

Does anyone know a brick breaker game where you can upgrade as you go similar to this?
