    UPD Here is a screenshot of the app. It is similar to what you see on your phone when you see the list of installed applications. The reason why this screenshot is missing from Play store is because it is forbidden to display in a screenshot icons that are copyrighted.

    Looking for help with ProjectM / Kodi

    Hello,

    I tried free build of https://github.com/projectM-visualizer/projectm that is for smartphones. Works with internal audio form TV, but does not work with mic from tv remote. Anybody having paid TV build may check if it works with external mic? Or do I need to buy USB microphone, Philips remote that works with mic in Android voice search is not enough?

    Or is there any option to force Kodi build use external mic, not internal audio?

    Chromecast w/ GoogleTV: Display preferences resetting after every standby off/on

    Hello, I am facing some problems with the screen frequency. I manually select 1080p 50Hz since most of the contents I watch require this, but everytime I turn off and on using the power button (binded to CEC) the resolution is back on 1080p 60Hz.

    This is not happening if I reboot the chromecast , in that case my Hisense TV still detects the 50Hz.

    I have checked on my Hisense TV some settings about it, but there isn't anything related to the frequency.

    I have tried even unplugging the Nintendo Switch, but the problem persists.

    Someone else is facing the same problem?

    I've had two Xiaomi Mi Box 3's for a few years now, but recently been getting glitchy. Decided to replace them this week with two Nvidia Shield Pro's.

    I know the Nvidia's come highly recommended, but was wondering if I'll see a notable difference in performance (I mainly use IPTV through Tivimate)?

    Anyone got any tips etc for when they arrive next week?

    Mecool KM9 no keyboard popping up and enter doesn’t work. Do anybody know of a fix and also do anybody know how to flash software? Whenever I get to recovery by pushing in the button in the A/V hole I only get to the recovery option screen. I even put a usb in with the software and it won’t flash. I

    Chromecast Google TV: Sound Out of Sync: Disney+

    I have 2 LG OLED tvs with soundbars, and when I play Disney+ on those sets the sound synchronization is off. Badly. No problems with ANY of the other apps for Chromecast Google TV. And, if I stream from the app built-in to the LG TV, there is no sound sync issue.

    Also: I have bluetooth headphones synced to the Chromecast that works really well - but not on Disney+ where I get no sound on the headphones. Turn off the headphones and the sound comes right back on the TV. But no joy using bluetooth headphones on Disney+

    I was hoping that today's firmware update might fix this -- but no.

    TCL 65" 65S434 Android TV does not turn off when Apple TV sleeps / stand by / turns off

    Here is my setup:

    • TV: TCL 65" Class 4-Series 4K UHD HDR Smart Android TV – 65S434
    • Devices: Apple TV HD (A1625) (I will try an Apple TV 4K and an HDMI 2.0 cable as well to see if that solves that, but I haven't purchased those yet)
    • HDMI Cable: AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet (should be an HDMI 1.4 cable)
    • TCL Settings: Enabled T-Link and all toggles in the TV menu (Auto Power On, Auto Standby)
    • Apple TV Settings: Control TV's and Receivers turned on (https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205225)

    My current behavior is the Apple TV can turn on the TV and it will set the input correctly, so the Apple TV will display. However, I cannot turn off the TV when I turn off the Apple TV from the Apple TV menu (Sleep now / Sleep All Connected Devices). With a different TV (Insignia 32" HDTV) the Apple TV can turn off and on the TV properly with no issues, so I doubt the cable or Apple TV is a problem, it just seems like the issue is on the TCL.

    Has anyone else experienced this problem?

    I've done some investigating and since the TV is an Android TV, you can enable Developer Options and you can connect the adb to view logs to see if anything abnormal is happening when the Apple TV is performing the turn off all connected devices. Here is the log output when "sleeping" the Apple TV and connected devices. Basically it seems like the HDMI CEC implementation is not working.

    Tcl Android tv picture settings

    I just bought a 55 inch series 4 from Best Buy but I cannot find any resources at all for adjusting the picture. Every guide and how-to explaining the adjustments either is talking about Roku settings or the menus just don't match up at all. It's model 55s434 , running Android 9. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I have spent a long time changing things on my own and just end up resetting things.

    how to remove unwanted suggestions on google tv home page

    is there any other way to remove unwanted suggestions on google tv home page , i have already uninstalled all of the unwanted app and disabled them in the account settings, however I'm still getting unwanted suggestions from stuff like Disney+ and Amazon primes e.c.t, is there some 3rd party blocker that i can get?

    I have a Sony Bravia KD-43X8309C, which has Android TV as standard, bought in 2016/17. A few weeks ago, it got stuck on the "Checking for updates" screen and none of its "smart" features worked; however, it could still be used as a monitor over HDMI.

    I tried to fix this by soft rebooting the TV, per Sony's support instructions. That didn't work. I escalated to hard rebooting the TV, again following Sony's instructions. One of these actions — I don't remember which — made matters worse. Instead of the TV starting, it gets about 2 seconds into the Android TV animation and then suddenly reboots itself. It now does this continuously.

    I have read this is a known problem (perhaps the TV lost power during a firmware update, or something) and is referred to on Sony's support pages and in their user forums. The advice was to try the above :(

    As a last resort, I tried downloading the latest firmware to USB and booting from that. Again, same problem: the USB lights up, so it's being powered at least, but no more than two seconds into the boot screen and it dies all over again.

    Any advice would be appreciated. It's not an old TV and it seems like a software failure to me. If a factory reset didn't do the trick, is there anything left I can try?

    Mouse Pointer for Google TV?

    So I sideloaded the TMobile Play app on my new Chromecast, but it is stuck in portrait mode. There is a full screen button in the video player, but I can't click it using the remote. I think I need to have a cursor to be able to put it in fullscreen, or possibly there's an accessibility feature that would let me scroll through the clickable buttons in the app, similar to the tab button on a computer. I have tried Android TV Remote app and Mouse Toggle for Android TV app, nothing works so far.

    I have an RCA android tv it's about a year old. Yesterday when using the netflix app picture went dark. Rhe picture only goes dark when watching something. When using the menus the picture will be normal. When i watch my cable the picture is fine.

    Is there a way to reset the tv? Or does any one know a fix? I can provide photos of needed

    Just picked up 2 spare remotes for my GoogleTV. While setting them up, I noticed that someone in the design department is making sure that the "Underwear" matches the "Outfit". Nice touch.

    Hi, I have a HDD plugged into my Sony Android via USB. I'd love to figure out a way to transfer files to it without having to disconnect it. Does anyone know of any ways around it? any apps or functionality I'm unaware of?

    Usb dvb-t2 tuner

    Hi all. Does anyone know if there is a usb tv tuner that is recognised by Android TV? My plan is to upgrade a single hdmi old tv to a modern tv with a mi box or Google chromecast and connect a tuner to see antenna tv in Italy (dvb-t2 hevc main 10 compatible). Thank you in advance
