This experience has been a disaster on my LG G7 with google Fi. Typically the only non iphone in the group chat people will say they can't send pictures or videos as texts or the quality gets greatly diminished. Also if they react to a message love/like whatever on their phone it shows up as a separate text on mine. I get messages late. Sometimes i cant send pics to my wifes iPhone...the list goes on. I love the android software compared to iOS but im really annoyed by this small but really aggravating issue. I know i can't be the only one, does anyone know a fix that i cant find from googling this a dozen times? Why doesnt google fix this? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Nov 2020 10:48 AM PST Something weird is happening with my app. I have many users (around 50%) installing the app (logging action first_open in firebase) and immediately remove the app (logging app_remove), without even performing any action. I want to make an all in one social media app, but not the web based kind, something that has all the apps and can easily be switched to. Like if I want to get on Snapchat, I could hit a drop down menu and select Snapchat and it would open the app in the all in one app. I don't know if it's possible but it would be a huge help to have some senior coders onboard. | Phone battery performance dipped overnight Posted: 29 Nov 2020 12:03 PM PST Hello all, hope someone can help me with this So my samsung galaxy A50 works beautifully and battery last about 26 hours on average before needing to charge. But last week it decided to die on me. Battery performance dropped to 10 to 12 hours on idle. Asking around ppl always said its battery problem but i knew it wasn't bcuz i dont think it dies overnight like that. Changed the battery regardless and the result is still same battery still dipping. This is actually strange because 3 years ago my sony xperia z2 experienced this same scenario b4. Where battery died overnight. Changed the batt and still didnt help. Thats why when it happened to my A50 i knew changing the batt wont work. But im no expert and the experts all say to change it. | Posted: 29 Nov 2020 01:25 AM PST Hey there, a few months ago my gf dropped the phone into the sink. After that, it vibrated uncontrollably and went black. Yesterday we found it and tried to boot it. Now the blue Honor start screen appears, then it goes black. I can get it into fast bootstrap rescue mode. There it says, phone locked and frp lock. Only reason why I need this is to pass SafetyNet so I can watch Netflix on my tablet. Only reason why I need a custom ROM is because Samsung bloatware stock ROMs suck and are very slow and laggy. Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:55 AM PST I'm on Verizon, using their default messaging app. Last text message I received was on Friday at 12:27p and it is now Sunday afternoon. I know my outgoing texts are reaching the recipients. I have reseated the SIM, reset Network settings, and tried Google Messages. Verizon tech support was able to sync my text messages on their end and they were able to receive new messages. Everything else is working normally on my phone. Phone is fully up to date running Android 9. Last update from Verizon was on October 8. I did notice the SMS backup in My Backup (to Google Drive) is 3 days old while everything else is current. Could something be corrupt causing the backup not to occur and, in turn, mucking up the SMS? My only other option seems to be a full reset, which I don't want to do. Does anyone have any insight as to what may be causing this and how I can fix it? [link] [comments] |

| Do Not Disturb priority vibration not working Posted: 29 Nov 2020 11:22 AM PST I'm trying to set up Do Not Disturb so my phone doesn't make noise or vibrate except for 1 specific person. I've set "Vibration" for the specific conversation to "on" but it still doesn't vibrate. It does make noise. So basically the Do Not Disturb is working for sound, but it's not vibrating even though I turned the setting on. I've never tried Do Not Disturb before so I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong. I don't like this because I can accidentally click on that notification when I didn't mean to because it appeared out of nowhere. How can I disable this globally? I've noticed that after using Google maps for navigation the Google maps navigation notification/directions icon gets stuck in the notification window and lock screen even though I've shut the app down and also hit "exit navigation" in the notifications it still won't dissappear from the notifications or lock screen? | ancient knowledge...downgrading to CM9...how? Posted: 29 Nov 2020 09:29 AM PST I was cleaning my desk, and found my old Samsung phone, Samsung Galaxy S Plus, gs-i9001. I used it back at Europe during my postdoc days, lots of good memories. Alas, I heard about that thing called cyanogenmod, tried it, lowed it (except I have not sim card to test calling). I upgraded recovery partition to something called clockwork(looks like custom build minimalistic linux image), and flashed CM9. It all worked nicely, except browser, which was too ancient to connect to most hpptS pages (maybe something changed in ssl between 2012 and 2020). I should have tried to get some more recent gaaps into it... Anyway, i upgraded recovery again, this time to something called team win, it forced me to change partition type of something on the phone to ext4fs, no problem, no pain. Installed CM12.1 and recent (2020) opengaaps. Everything is supper slow an I generally like it less than cm9. How can I get back to cm9 or latest which will be as fast as my cm9 experience? which cm version should I look for to have as pleasant experience as I had with cm9? [link] [comments] |

However, I'm experiencing a few issues. 1) When I shoot videos they're crystal clear. Even posting to Instagram causes no problems. The SECOND I send a video via sms it looks like it was filmed on a Fisher Price camcorder. What gives? How do I fix it? 2) My keyboard keeps freezing randomly for maybe thirty seconds at a time. Extremely frustrating. I've cleared the cache on all apps and cleared old texts etc. My phone's storage is no where near full. I used the "completely uninstall" option in Magisk Manager app and it rebooted my phone. Root check app said my phone is not rooted/root improperly, however, I am certain the root is still there because some apps are not able to run. I installed the Magisk Manager app and there is no longer any option to uninstall. With a Pixel 4a and Andriod 11, does the factory reset wipe the root completely? | Google Pixel 2 won't turn on, issue with Android 11 update Posted: 29 Nov 2020 03:22 AM PST Hey all, My Google Pixel 2 ran out of charge yesterday and when I turned it back on it got stuck at the G screen with a white loading bar. I had yet to install the Android 11 update, so I figured it was just installing. Except, the phone never booted up, it just stayed on the loading screen even after several hours. I'm looking to resolve this issue. I would rather not wipe my phone completely if possible since I don't have a backup and cannot make one now.
