    Transferring from old Android TV to new one?

    I currently have a Sony Android TV from 2015. A couple of months ago it started flickering badly and the repair was assessed to be prohibitively expensive, so I got a new one, another Sony Android TV, a 2020 model this time.

    Is there a way for all my apps and data to be transferred over from the old TV to the new TV? Android phones have a new transfer feature on setup - is there something similar for TVs?

    How can use App buttons from mecool v01 for KM9 pro

    Hi, I bought the new controller with air mouse of Mecool, but I am having problems to remapper the "apps buttons". These doesn't recognizes by "Buttons Remapper". I have access root in my KM9 PRO, so that you can help please!!!

    Android TV to Google TV

    So I updated my Philips ambilght TV (50pus7334) from the Android TV home to Google TV home All went well but it seems to takes a lot longer than the android home to fully load up, ive also noticed that FTA (uk) catch up apps such as Itv Hub and All 4 won't open when I've got the Google launcher active, they just hang on a black screen. Anyone else having this problem? I've resorted back to the Android launcher because it works.

    My Likes are not transferring

    I haven't seen anyone else having this problem so I'm starting to wonder if I have a defective device.

    I got a new "Chromecast with Google TV" device a few days ago. Trying it out, I think it's absolutely amazing compared to my previous Chromecast, as well as Samsung "smart tv", experiences. (Single hub for watching anything/everything, plus it's hella-fast compared to my "smart tv".)

    Yesterday, I spent a bunch of time with the new device and remote, setting a lot of LIKES, DISLIKES, etc. Today when I opened the Google TV app on my PHONE, it doesn't look like any of my Likes transferred over from the Chromecast to my phone.

    I'm using the same user credentials. Shouldn't these preferencea/settings be copying over to ALL of my devices?

    MiBox 3 HDR problem after 9.0 update

    Hey, just updated my MiBox 3 to android 9 and having some huge HDR issues, when I run HDR video the all screen become really dark and I can't do anything, everything worked perfect before the update I could really use some help right now! Thanks!

    Is the Chromecast Built-in OK?

    I noticed a problem today when I opened the Google Home app:

    When I select my ATV device, I see the top banner and the buttons at the bottom blinking indefinitely, I could see it switches between playing something to been idle.

    I couldn't watch a video I recorded using my phone on Google photos, it stuttered a lot, it was unbearable, I tested different videos, old ones and I couldn't watch them either. The Google Photos logo didn't load smooth, it stuttered too.

    I also tried to cast a few videos from another app but they never loaded.

    I rebooted the device, cleared cache and data for the Chromecast built-in app with no success

    Do any of you have this problem?

    Sorry if this question has been asked before.

    I've tried moonlight and steamlink so far. Moonlight despite of good user's review, it has worse input lag/Image quality to me, not sure if I config it wrong.

    Steamlink works fine but whenever game or program freezes and I have to force close on my comp. It's kinda annoying you can't emulate mouse cursor.

    Is there anything else I can try? I have 2070s on PC and use built in android 9 on Sony 2020 TV. It can do 150mbps over 5ghz just fine.

    Android Box Remote App Home Screen Issues

    Is anyone facing issues with the actions on Home Screen options while the Android Box Remote App is running in the background? I am using the app to control the Android TV from the phone. The Row header selection doesn't show up, single tap open and, app movement in the row doesn't work. Anyway to avoid this?

    My main question is, I have all the Google assistant personal results and what not shut off. Will the Google TV get notifications from my phone or other devices and is there anyway for it see my photos or anything personal on my account?

    Also I noticed the steam link app is installable lol

    Gamepad options for Google TV

    So I just got the new Chromecast with Google TV and love it! I've played a few of the games that work with the remote. I noticed some more complicated games available to download (Farming Simulator 14) but it says "Gamepad Required". Is there a specific gamepad I need? I have an xbox one, can I use one of those controllers somehow?

    Can I Manually upgrade my Android TV ?

    Hey guys,

    Yesterday I wanted to install Google TV on my Phillips AndroidTV (55POS9002) and the installation of the Launcher apk crashed. I later discovered that my TV is running on AndroidTV 8 and 9 is necessary for the new GoogleTV...

    I don't want to started a new thread where we discuss how bad the updates are on AndroidTV from the Manufacturer. It's bad.

    But, I was wondering, when AndroidTV is basically android, it is possible to root my TV and install a custom ROM?

    Mx player mutes after being paused

    Hi all

    I'm running Mx player pro on my shield and when I pause a video for 5-10 mins and then start it again, there is no audio. It's muted. I have to close the app and restart it.

    I've cleared the cache/data etc but no joany assistance appreciated.

    Bluetooth+IR universal remotes?

    I've looked a few times for universal remotes that use both IR and Bluetooth that would be good for a setup with Android TV and found maybe the super expensive Harmony and that's about it. I ended up getting a Sideclick, but it's a little awkward having a mini remote clipped to the Mi Remote, and it's limited to the bare essentials.

    Has anybody found a good IR and BT combination remote that doesn't break the bank? As more consumers get BT-controlled entertainment devices, it seems like a gap in the market that nobody's making crossovers.

    Android APK sideloaded but not working...

    Hi all - I would be grateful for some help. I have an Android TV on a Phillips TV... I have sideloaded an APK file (Sky X) and for some reason it opens with an error. Is there anyway to see what is causing the issue or to repackage the app so that it plays better with Android TV? Or should it just work given that it works on my tablet? Any help appreciated!

    Google TV live tab not showing correct shows for my location

    My YouTube TV home market is different than my current location. I updated the YouTube TV app to my current location and the app works as expected, but the 'live' tab is still messed up. The 'On Now' tiles show shows for my current location and can watch them, but the bottom section showing the entire TV listings is showing my home market listings (ie not updated major network local affiliates and not taking time change into account). Youtube TV gives an error when I select any of these channels as it says they can't be watched based on my location. Anyone else experience this?

    Netflix woes

    For about a year now I've been having persistent resolution issues with Netflix. Often it works fine running 1080p and then I'll start another show and it begins in very low resolution (which is normal) but then never improve. I've let it run for 10-20 minutes at 320p and it simply never even tries to ramp up. If I kill Netflix and clear the app data that will usually resolve the issue until it crops up a few shows later.

    Originally I was having this issue on a Shield but just recently had it happen on my brand new CCGTV.

    Here's some things I've tried:

    1. wired
    2. wireless
    3. completely new router
    4. disconnecting every other device from my network
    5. factory reset of shield
    6. google DNS

    No matter what variable I've eliminated the problem always comes back, which makes me think it's ISP issues, but that doesn't explain why it resolves with the app data clear. I've also talked to ISP and Netflix support and they both (obviously) claim everything looks fine.

    I have no issues with any other streaming apps (youtube, prime, etc).

    Is the Netflix app just junk? Should I just resign myself to clearing the app data every time I want to watch anything?

    Any ideas are welcome
