    Just got notified. The beta is out and personally I am finding it extremely fast in comparison to the original project.

    There are some features missing but the loading of tabs and videos are way smoother. I cant wait for an update to this. Performance is way better.

    Also, I noticed the resume screen and start up is way faster. Pleasantly surprised.

    MiBox3 Android 9 Update

    Did anyone get an update for Android 9 for their MiBox 3? I got the update and when it booted up for the first time. Recovery Mode came on. So I choose the reboot option than I choose to factory reboot it. and When I install all the programs back on. Some things did not work. Kodi all the movie images were blank or incorrect. Mobdro would not open the stream.

    So I was wondering if I was the only one having this problem or others have an related issue.

    Google TV stick doesn't do variable refresh

    So I was watching a couple things on my Plex server while testing out the refresh rates. I turned on Back to the Future to test out the 24p. I went to see what the refresh of the tv was set to and it was at 60p, not 24p. To this I have to say I need to see an update to this because the main reason to me picking up this dongle was to get rid of needing an xbox in my home theater room. Now that I found this info out, I will have to switch back to my xbox until an update has been issued. In the settings currently there is an option to match contents hdr/dolby vision/sdr but not the refresh of the show.

    Aquaman 4K and Alita 4K stuttering badly on GoogleTV, but other movies are fine... they were fine on the Samsung TV app last time I tried... any sense in this?

    I would need to believe that both Aquaman and Alita 4K movies are "corrupted" or badly encoded or something on Google Movies... I have other 4K movies that work perfectly fine on the same Google TV...

    Anyone else ever experience anything like this??

    1. If I mark an ongoing show as "watched" does anyone know if future episodes will repopulate in recommendations?
    2. Is there any way I can see what I've marked as "watched"? Or even what I've liked or disliked?

    Google TV - sound issues? Crackling noise

    Chromecast Google TV - Does not turn on AV Receiver

    Just installed my new Chromecast Google TV. Device is connected to AV Receiver. During setup it asked me to identify my AV Receiver, a 2019 Denon and I can control the volume of the receiver using the included remote. Image I see on the screen is that of volume bar I normally would see if I used my actual Denon remote. So it seems like it's communicating with receiver. HDMI-CEC is enabled.

    If I turn off my setup, everything (tv and receiver) turn off. If I try to turn on my system using the included remote OR if I do so by asking the Google assistant, only tv turns on, not the AV receiver.

    Control Google Home speakers with Chromecast w/ Google TV?

    Wondering if there's any way to be able to directly control the volume of my Google Home Max speaker connected to my TV with my Chromecast w/ Google TV remote? I've managed to remap the YouTube button to Smart YouTube TV with Button Mapper and I'd love a way to do the same to gain control over my speaker's volume without having to always dictate the command.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Cant install unknown apps

    my device won't go into settings cannot enable installing unknown apps like from the browser. For some reason the options are grayed out and not selectable, anyone else had this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

    Geoblocked services with a VPN.

    Given that the release of the new Chromecast will result in many enquiring about various streaming services are available outside their area. If those services need a login, a vpn, are available on the play store outside the country of origin or on apkmirror, what language they offer and what content, live local TV, movies or TV shows. And on what devices it is confirmed working. I'm only talking about legitimate services often by national broadcasters and that might be welcome to ex pats.

    For example I know that my Netflix subscription with a VPN allows me to access content for other Netflix catalogs. (I'm outside the US so I can with a VPN access 'the west wing' which isn't available through Netflix at home.

    Peacock from NBC is a free service with movies and TV shows, that with a VPN set to the states and a free account and an apk from apkmirror allows me access to their free content outside the US. (Tested on Nvidia shield pro 2019 and CCwGTV)

    So what I had in mind was that people post info on the apps they know work outside where they were designed for? And what hoops you need to go through to get it working.

    If you have access to a service like this and are willing to help please provide information about it and if you can extract the apk and submit it to apkmirror that would be awesome.

    ChromeCast with Google TV - Remote issue

    I received mine (UK) today and the remote was very problematic from the start, it would not register key presses, and then suddenly register them all at once, causing the cursor to fly around the UI. After an hour or so of messing around I've found that I have to be sitting in the right position on the sofa and hold the remote above my head for it to work reliably. Presumably I must have some interference on the BT frequency, which I believe is 2.4Ghz. What could be causing this?

    Chromecast with Google TV voice search problem

    I assume this is a PEBKAC.

    I started watching Mr Robot on Stan a little while ago using Stan app on my phone to cast to my old chromecast. The new chromecast arrived yesterday and setup was very painless. I gave it access to everything during setup to avoid any self inflicted problems.

    My problem is that I can see Mr Robot on Stan in the "Continue watching" section on the main browsing page, but if I use voice search for "Mr Robot" it only shows me a single result where I can purchase it from google.

    Does anyone have any idea what I have broken?

    can firetv apps work on androidtv?

    this app FSR doesnt offer on ATV, but available on roku, amazon, and apple tv. its so frustrating, so is there a workaround for firetv apps but load them on android tv?

    No 4K HDR on Fox Sports App on New Chromecast

    I'm trying to watch the Dodger game in 4K HDR using the Fox Sports app on the new chromecast but there is no 4K feed. I tried restarting the device, clearing the cache of the Fox Sports app. My tv is 4K compatible.

    Is the app not compatible with the new chromecast yet? Because my 4K Fire stick and roku both are able to ply the 4K feed.

    Need a mouse app for the new Google Chromecast.

    I use Proton VPN but the app is not native to Android TV. I got the APK sideloaded but cant sect the txt input to enter my username. I used to use mouse toggle on a firestick but cant seem to get it to work. Anyone got any ideas. Thanks.

    Tried to remove and add Wi Fi. R\Also restarted multiple times,

    Android Tv

    Hello I have an android tv & want to use google assistant to turn it on but for whatever reason it doesn't work. I'm able to turn the tv off but not on. Is there a setting on the tv that I need to turn on? Turning on my Roku TVs with google assistant works fine. I would expect for googles own products to work better. If anyone has any suggestions or knows the fix let me know thanks!

    Should i buy the new Chromecast?

    I just purchased a Samsung TV (an entry level model of 2020), with his smart Os and support to casting and Google assistant. Do I still need the new Chromecast with Google TV? The old Chromecast I had is now useless, and with the new one not having Stadia support yet I don't see the point. I like Google UI but I don't think it's enough to have one, considering in Italy it's also much more expensive than in USA. Am I missing something?
