[Request] Is there a Android game like Devil Dice released on PS1 many years ago ?

    Hi all.

When I bought a PlayStation 1, I found a really cool and fun game called Devil Dice.

Is there a game such like this one ?

"Devil Dice is a unique puzzle video game, where the player controls a small devil that runs around a grid covered in large dice. The player can both stand atop dice, and stand on the ground (with the dice towering above). When standing on the dice, the player can move from die to die, or can roll a die in the direction he or she runs, revealing a different face as the die rotates. Creating a group of adjacent dice with identical pips—the size of which must be at least the number of pips—causes those dice to slowly sink into the field before disappearing. Chain reactions are possible by adding additional dice to a sinking set. Different types of dice are available in some modes, with different properties to make the game more challenging."

[REQUEST] I'm looking for a grindy RPG to invest my time

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 10:19 AM PDT

Hello everyone, first time poster here. I'm looking for a game with fun and difficult challenges that one can beat grinding and not paying. I've been playing Archero for almost a year without spending a dime and got tired of it.

    Things that maybe help:

    • I'm not interested in MMORPGs or pc/console graphics level games, I'm looking for something simple yet fun.

    • I'm really big fan of the "make your own character" or "manage the party" type of games.

    • The only two games that I've ever been into were Archero and Braveheart.

I'm sorry if I'm asking for too much, but I've been trying things on the app store for months and couldn't find anything I like.

    Thanks for reading!

Hi! So i bought an iPega Controller some months ago, it was working well. But now, when i click on the home button, it does not show up, so i tried to click the Home button and hold the "New" or "Android" buttons, and it shows up there with the name "02:5O etc" and when i try pairing it, it gives me an error saying it couldn't pair. Is there anything i could do?

    Graphical errors

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 04:58 AM PDT

So recently I've been having graphical errors when gaming, such as certain textures not loading properly, sometimes fuzzing in and out and just having a really trippy time with games that use 3d textures. Anyone have any solutions to try and help would be great

[DEV] Starting work on a turn-based strategy game, based on my novels

    Posted: 08 Oct 2020 03:40 AM PDT

A bit of background: some years back I made an open source game called The Pandoran War, which was released on Linux and Windows. At the time, I had some requests for an Android version. However, I didn't think the game would work on Android, due to it being a mouse-driven shooter; it would be too hard to play, I figured.

Well, since I've got some time on my hands, I decided to revisit an Android version and came up with the idea of using the existing assets for a turn-based strategy.

Early days, but there's a screenshot here:

    https://www.battleforthesolarsystem.com/images/tactics/WIP01.png

In the screen, the player's active unit is highlighted with the green square. The enemy unit that is targetted is indicated by the rotating red arrows.

I've been having great fun with the interface, due to phone constraints, but I'm getting closer to something I'm happy with. The stats of both units are shown at the top of the screen, the green background showing the active unit's name, ap, armour, shield, and active weapon, while the stats below show the target's name, armour, shield, and chance to hit and total possible damge.

I'm planning to have multiple objectives and a few dozen missions when all is done. I'll try and recreate the missions from the desktop version if possible, though this might prove tough in some instances.

No ETA on a release yet, but I'm hoping it doesn't fizzle out like some of my other projects of late..! If anyone's interested in the desktop version, let me know in the comments.

Hidden Gem - Orna GPS RPG - Like Pokemon Go with more depth and no microtransactions

Hidden Gem - Orna GPS RPG - Like Pokemon Go with more depth and no microtransactions

This game is awesome, and I want to quickly share it with the community. I am not affiliated with the developer. Just came upon this a few months ago and it's been a breath of fresh air in the world of microtransactions and pay-to-win stuff.

Imagine something like Pokemon Go, but with a Fantasy theme. It is played using GPS over the real world, and you get to battle against various monsters and bosses. The key difference compared to something like Pokemon Go is that this game really is free. You don't have to pay for balls or weapons or potions, or really anything. You can literally sit back and play this game all day long every day without spending any money. The cash shop is purely cosmetic. If you're familiar with PC Games, Orna is the Path of Exile of Android. Here's a quick list of some of the stand-out features:

    - Completely free to play (really)
    - Tons of Classes and Specializations (you can be very unique)
    - Tons of loot (you can equip what mobs drop)
    - Dungeons, Open-world Bosses, Raids
    - Guilds with real-time Boss Raiding
    - Pets with a purpose (they can assist or do battle along with you)
    - PVP Arenas and Guild Wars
    - Crafting (you can upgrade the items that you find and break them down for components)
    - Building (you can build buildings that assist you in the game)
    - Real-GPS Territory Control (capture real-world territory and earn resources from it)
    - Fun 16-bit graphics (very well done)
    - Active Development (the developer adds new content and features frequently)

If I had to pick any negatives about the game, I'd say that it's a little on the grindy side when you get to higher levels. Starting at around level 170, progression slows down a bit. This is honestly ok and there is so much variety in the world that playing doesn't feel like a chore. However, if you're completely turned off by any sort of grind, then this game isn't for you.

If this all sounds interesting, then you can download the game for free from Google Play. If you'd like to be part of a Guild (they call them Kingdoms in Orna), you are welcome to join ours. We have a Discord Server and we are part of the Frozenguard faction in the game. All levels are welcome! The only real requirement is that you be active in the game (we have daily group dungeons and raids). If you are interested in checking us out, join the Discord Server and we'll get you all setup (we can also answer any questions that you might have about the game). Here are a few real screenshots that I took from the game so that you can get an idea of what it looks like:
