Are there any evolution simulators (as opposed to "games")?

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 10:19 AM PDT

I'm looking for something like this that I can tinker with, rather than something you actively "play," for lack of a better word.

Please help me remember this game!

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 12:24 PM PDT

It was a very colorful game where you are a little box and side scroll thru the maps really quick and have to jump to avoid spikes and pitfalls. Had some really cool techno music. I think each level had 3 coins to collect and when you failed you would have to start from the beginning again. I really want to play it again, but I cant remember the name of it!

Need help! Want to rip audio from a game (Killing Floor Calamity)

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 11:39 AM PDT

Hello. I'm a fan of the Killing Floor series and Calamity was sadly removed from the play store years ago (I'm not sure if its still on ouya). Someone provided me a download link to the game's apk & obb file. I'm not sure if that's all you need for the game to work. I never used a android emulator. While I would like to play the game to see what features it has, I'm more interested in extracting the audio files as one of the characters in this game was actually given a unique voice!

Please any help would be appreciated! Apologizes if this isn't the correct subreddit for this kind of topic

[REQUEST] Apps for classic games? (Solitaire, sudoku, minesweeper, etc)

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 12:05 PM PDT

As the title says, which apps are the best for the classic games I mentioned? So far I found CardShark as the best all in one app for card games as I really enjoy klondike, cribbage, euchre and such. What about sudoku and minesweeper on Android? Paid or free with the option to remove ads please.

How to remap a Xbox controller without root

    Posted: 06 Oct 2020 01:16 PM PDT

I connected my Xbox 360 controller to my phone but the right thumbstick and the shoulder buttons are mixed up. I only found free apps which can remap simple buttons without axes. Do you know a solution?

I just finished REVENTURE and it's the best mobile game I've played

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 08:00 PM PDT

Can't say enough about this game. It's simple but has variety in it. It's creative. It kept my attention and I could pop in for a quick couple of plays at a time. Great music. Simple controls. It's the only game that I've really loved on mobile. And it was FREE with no in app purchases!!

But now I'm back to no games to play. Feel free to recommend something that might hold my attention like Reventure did.

    Games like duelyst?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 06:32 PM PDT

I really liked that duelyst wasnt just another card game. It was a nice mixture between chess and ccg. Anything similar to that?

The combination of Xbox Game Pass (aka xcloud) and a Razer Kishi is the best gaming experience I've had in a really long time.

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 03:45 PM PDT

    The service:

    • £11/$14 a month is kinda steep, but it makes sense when you look at how expensive games on the next gen consoles are going to be.
    • There's also a "hack" right now where you can buy 3 years of Xbox Live Gold and then convert it all into Game Pass Ultimate, which makes it ABSURDLY good value for money if you're willing to pay upfront.
    • The existing library is really good. Every Halo and Gears game, Forza Horizon 4, Destiny 2, Doom Eternal, Mortal Kombat X, Resi 7, and then a TON of high quality indie games.
    • EA Play is getting added next month too, which I assume means FIFA and Madden?? Because fuck yeah.
    • Battery drain is almost exactly the same as it would be when watching a YouTube video, because that's essentially what you're doing. It sucks a LOT less power than gaming natively, but you will probably have your screen turned up bright, so the power draw isn't nothing.
    • I've tried it over a 5ghz WiFi connection with about 30mbps down, and it's absolutely FLAWLESS in terms of performance. Literally zero noticeable latency and no stuttering in the video either.
    • I've also tried it over 4g with about 15mbps down and the experience was the same most of the time, it was just inconsistent and you would occasionally get stutter.
    • Not tried 5g yet, as I don't have a 5g phone nor do I live in a place that has 5g coverage, so no comment there.
    • Also not yet tried in an absurd situation like in the passenger seat of a moving car, but like... C'mon bro no way that works well 😂
    • Load time is roughly 30-60 seconds. That's it. No downloads or updates or syncing or any other bullshit. You've gotta wait a beat for it to spin up the server, but after that you're ready to play!

    The controller:

    • Fookin' magic mate. Great buttons, nice grip, good squeeze on the triggers.
    • Solid build quality, and it folds up really small. It's absolutely able to fit into a bag no problem.
    • There's a charging pass through port on the bottom that is deliberately positioned so that your cable won't be in the way of your hand. Smart.
    • Edge case for OnePlus phones only: It can't passthrough the full speed of a warp charger, it treats it like a standard "fast" charger. Possibly the same with other brands that don't use Qualcomm standardised quick charge tech (Huawei also use something proprietary, for example.)
    • Comfortable enough to play with it for a couple of hours at least
    • ZERO latency. I mean seriously zero. Compared to a Bluetooth controller it's like a night and day difference. The latency introduced by Bluetooth was enough to make some games (e.g. Doom) unplayable, but with the Kishi it's absolutely perfect.

I seriously can't recommend this enough. It's console quality gaming directly to my phone screen with no download time required and a gigantic library that keeps getting bigger. Top marks to all involved.

The best thing is that because you can just jump right in with no extra purchase or waiting times then I'm trying games that I'd never have given a second look before. Turns out Super Lucky's Tale is a surprisingly good game!

Any questions lmk and I'll answer in the morning ✌️

Suggestions for games to play while listening to audiobooks at night?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 04:05 PM PDT

I like to wind down at night by playing some games while listening to an audiobook, I'm currently playing Shop Titans and Pokemon Go (I live on a stop and a gym) during my audiobook time and I'm looking for other games that don't require a lot of thinking, just doing. I like puzzles and social games, and I like word games, but many require too much of my attention and I end up missing things in my book. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks!

People who use gaming phones, how is it compared to normal ones?

    Posted: 05 Oct 2020 08:51 PM PDT

I'm sort of split between getting a quote-unquote "normal" phone (1+ 8 pro/mi 10t) and a gaming phone (rm 5s). I have a Samsung s7 rn and its getting slow, and I intend to use whatever phone I get for ~2 years and it would be my daily driver-mostly for playing games. What do you guys reccomend?
