Keyboard won't open for sideloaded apps Posted: 29 Sep 2020 06:06 AM PDT I've sideloaded both Chrome and Firefox on my Sony Bravia VU1. I have LeanKey Keyboard installed as the default keyboard and it works fine everywhere in the system except in Chrome and Firefox. All I get onscreen in those apps when trying to type is an input box with a microphone symbol to the left, but it disappears in about half a second. Based on other posts I've removed the GBoard app updates, but that had no effect. Also, this behavior is the same whether the virtual keyboard is enabled or not. Any other ideas? Many thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
New Chromecast or the Nvidia shield pro? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 04:54 AM PDT I hope that posting this here will be appropriate as the new Chromecast will be using android tv. I currently use a 4k firestick and am interested in purchasing the new Chromecast as a cheaper alternative to the Nvidia shield for 4k playback. I have two major problems with my firestick, 1) it doesn't accept an external hard drive unless it's formatted as fat32... 2) 4k bitrate playback is limited to 31mbs. Will this be the suitable, more affordable alternative to the Nvidia shield pro for me? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Sep 2020 08:13 AM PDT Hello, I saw in some YouTube videos that Mi stick has a data saver featured. But I'm unable to find that option in my new Mi stick. Any suggestion? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Watch an American news network on AndroidTV Posted: 29 Sep 2020 07:41 AM PDT I live in Europe. What is the easiest and legal way to watch a major American network without hassle on my TV? (e.g. install the app for XYZ news channel) I subscribe to YouTube Premium, so that could be an option. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Google Sabrina and Family Link Posted: 29 Sep 2020 07:11 AM PDT Does anyone know if the new "Sabrina" chromecast will work with Family Link? I have Nvidia Shields in the main rooms but I would like to replace the Fire TVs for the kids if it does. Thanks for the help. [link] [comments]
Is Xbox game pass app available on the android Tv, especialy new Google tv? Posted: 29 Sep 2020 05:41 AM PDT I'm new to sub and android Tv devices. Do android Tv devices have regular Google Play store and does it have all apps like Xbox game pass (for cloud streaming)? Or do manufacturers replace Google store with custom one with only approved apps? Especialy asking about new Google tv device. Also is Google tv best device to buy in its price range? Or would mi box s be better? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Sep 2020 01:24 AM PDT I decided to plug in my Arctic Pro wireless headphones trough the USB controlbox since its a bother to go on to pairing all the time since I use them on lots of devices. The problem is I can't figure out how to turn it off without unplugging them, which kind of defeats the purpose. Even if the headphones are off I still get no sound from the TV, any suggestions? Spotify for Android TV | A mess Posted: 28 Sep 2020 12:13 PM PDT Am I the only one that finds the Spotify app on Android TV extremely laggy, buggy and unrespondive at times? It feels like a web app and not a true Android TV APP... What's your guy's experience with it? [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Sep 2020 01:39 PM PDT I have a cheapie android dox that is horrendous at browsing the web. Other cheapies I have owned ditto. Do better quality boxes from say Xiaomi do a better job or are the devices inherently bad at browsing the web. Any real life experiences would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
