Posted: 06 Sep 2020 11:56 AM PDT Long story short, I'm using the gamevice for some emulation and android games on my phone but the edges of the device cover a small amount of my screen on the left and right ends. So what I want to do is add small black bars on either side to put the screen in the middle of my device. Using Dolphin emulator and RetroArch, there are some functions that I even have to take the device off to press. When games are actually being emulated they are only running in 16:9 or 4:3 so there would be black bars anyways. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 06 Sep 2020 10:32 AM PDT Suddenly my phone's display was unresponsive, and there was nothing on the screen. I saw light in hardware buttons when I tried touching the screen. So, I force shutdown the device and kept booting it. After 2 failed boots I saw a similar screen like this image and factory reset my data. After that, it's working fine. I want to know what can be the reason for data corruption? My device was showing a warning for low internal storage when it was working. I suspect that led to data corruption. Can anyone please help? | Posted: 06 Sep 2020 11:20 AM PDT Serious question. I dont find any usb a to usb c cable which supports more than 18w. Almost all are limited to 5A/3V. You can buy a usb c / usb c cable which goes up to 100w but then again there are no power supplies for that. | Notifications on watch problem Posted: 06 Sep 2020 10:28 AM PDT Hello, for some time, I have problem with notifications on my Kronaby watch. It notify me about calls, sms and calendar, but Im not getting anything from apps liks email, fb or msg. Figured out, that I need to go to [settings > additional settings > privacy > special app access > notification access] and toggle the switch for Kronaby off and on again (or move to on, if in the off position). Than it works until the next restart. This is so annoying to do every day. Does anyone know how to solve this? Im using Xiaomi 9T. [link] [comments] |

Also when plugged into the computer it claims the phone is empty even though it recognizes it. I still get text messages, so I assume that the phone actually still works. | All files on my download directory just disappeared Posted: 05 Sep 2020 06:57 PM PDT Hello, I faces a seious problem, I downloaded "syncthings" to sync files between my tablet and my phone, I don't know what exactly happend but the app sync my tablet data to my "download file" on my phone, the files, apks, movies, videos, music that was on that file it disappeared suddenly (as they weren't existed in the first place), I couldn't find them any where on the phone, are they deleted? or encrypted? | Xiaomi note 9 pro emulators can't access storage. Posted: 06 Sep 2020 07:46 AM PDT My friend has a xiaomi note 9 pro running latest OS, not rooted. I installed msx.emu & tried fMSX but neither can access storage when looking for ROM files downloaded to "Download" folder. Msx.emu showed an error that it doesn't have access. I checked apps permission, they both are allowed to access storage, cleared cache, data, restarted the phone. What else can be the problem? A xiaomi aggressive setting somewhere? Apps aren't asking for permission like they're supposed to in newer android versions so they get auto denied? I had no trouble playing MSX games on my Oneplus 7T. [link] [comments] |

There's only one option from the dropdown menu; the downloads folder. Selecting that and saying okay just triggers the same notification again, and doesn't let me download anything. Posted: 06 Sep 2020 07:27 AM PDT Hi all, Before today, whenever I set an alarm on the Android clock app I selected a song (from my phone's storage) as the alarm sound and the phone would ask if I wanted it to play from the beginning or from a halfway point. I tried to set a new alarm today and when I select a song there's no longer an option to play the song from the beginning. It just automatically starts playing the song from wherever it feels like (depending on the song). This might seem like a small thing, but it's really annoying as I want to use a specific song as an alarm and have it play from the beginning, but now it starts halfway through and when I tried a few different songs it seems random as to where the music starts playing... | Question: Any nice alternative to ScrCpy, which supports Unicode? Posted: 06 Sep 2020 04:50 AM PDT I use ScrCpy as a nice mirroring tool via the PC. It works very well and together with "sndCpy" it could even mirror sound from Android to PC. Sadly it doesn't support Unicode typing, at least not yet. I've noticed Mirroid supports it, but the developer of ScrCpy claims they are shady as they copied his code without checking the license and in general didn't behave nicely (here), so I'm trying to avoid it. Plus it has its own issues, and to handle the Unicode typing it switches to its own keyboard. Is there any other free mirroring app (between PC and Android), that could allow me to type in Unicode? | Repurpose a Galaxy S7 Edge (Verizon) with a Broken Screen? Posted: 06 Sep 2020 04:35 AM PDT I was recently gifted a Galaxy S7 Edge (Verizon), and almost the entire screen is broken--not just the glass, but the display behind it--rendering it useless for any phone functions. Unfortunately because of this, I'm locked out of the phone due to too many pattern attempts, so I cannot install a VNC server, or the like. Is there a way to flash a version of Android, or, better yet, Linux, that I can use remotely without the need to go through the physical screen? Ideally I could ssh into it and use it as a personal server at home, but I will settle for a remote display such as VNC. I'm a low-level mobile developer (C/asm, custom kernel modules) who is no stranger to ODIN, adb, etc, but I'm coming up empty here. I'm willing to potentially brick the phone (as far as I know, the thing is worthless in this condition) but I'd rather not solder anything or otherwise modify the hardware. [link] [comments] |
