    I'm getting a Hisense Q8G in a week and I'd like to watch some 4k movies on it. I've heard that Kodi can be a bit too demanding for the system they have built into the TV (at least for 4k content). What is the best app to watch 4k content without worrying about lagging or freezing? HDR and 10bit/H265 support would be appreciated too.

    What do you guys use to watch your 4k content on your H8G/Q8G or borderline underpowered Android TV box?

    Hey you android TV users. I'm looking to purchase 43 inch tv the options are MI 4A pro full hd or VU premium or ultra full hd. Can you tell me which one is better? Major use is going to be normal SD channels, ott platfirms and youtube. Also does these have phone mirroring available?

    I would prefer it to have the custom channels for the main home screen where I can favorite my favorite channels and make it easier for my parents to navigate. Is there such thing yet?

    Xiaomi mi tv stick

    So i recently bought a mi tv stick it hasnt arrived yet but from what i see some people say its good and ok and some say that they have lots of issues with it and its bad so what should i expect..... Currently im just expecting to watch streaming services on it nothing extra but i guess i could check out what it has to offer so any tips or apps to recommend?

    I JUST UPDATED MY 2-2015 SHIELDS AND NOW THE LIVE CHANNELS APP HAVE NO SOUND IT TELL ME: CANT PLAY AUDIO TRY ANOTHER TV BUT MY NETFLIX, PLUTO AND ALL THE OTHER APPS HAVE SOUND, TRIED EVERYTHING AND IT STILL TELL ME: CANT PLAY AUDIO TRY ANOTHER TV

    Is there ANY way to activate an Android TV device without an Internet connection?

    So I just got an Anker projector with Android TV from a previous owner and it's got a broken wifi. Here's me hoping it's a software issue and a factory reset may fix it. The thing is that I'm stuck at the initial setup screen and cannot go past it. Customer support hasn't provided a way to enter recovery mode (I cannot wrap my head around the idea of this being impossible, as every single Android device I encountered could boot into recovery by physical buttons combinations) so I cannot factory reset as of now because the thing won't boot into the home screen. Unless there is a way to bypass the online activation I'm stuck with a paperweight.

    My only idea now is to try a USB to Ethernet adapter to at least complete the activation process. By the way, using my phone to activate it with the Google app doesn't work either.

    Could you recommend a good adapter with wide compatibility? I know there are different chipsets out there and would like to maximize my chances. Alternatively, if you know a way to boot into Android TV directly, I could try that to access factory reset.

    Xiaomi mi box 4k channel list

    How do you get your installed apps to show up in the channel list? Some apps show up automatically after I installed them, some require me to launch the app one time. But some (Cmore, Prime Video) won't show up in the channel list at all. Not after a restart either and I'm not even able to turn them on in the settings. I can have them as a favorite app but not as their own channel. Are some apps simply not adapted for that or is it a bug?

    Weather Channel app?

    I have Fire TV stick and there's a weather channel app that allows for live streaming but I don't see it in the Play Store on my Shield TV. Am I missing something or do I need to sideload the .apk that's available on the Amazon store?

    Philips Android tv update wipe apps?

    I've got an update pending for my Philips tv (43PUS7304) just wondering if there's any downsides to updating?

    I seem to remember when I got the a Tv that it wiped the Android part clean when updating, can't remember for sure.

    I've got a usb set to internal storage and another to external, spent days setting up emulation apps don't want it to be lost.

    Any ideas if it's okay to update, or even better I'd there a way to disable the update notification?

    App to easily switch DNS?

    Does anyone know if there are any good apps available that help you easily switch your DNS settings?

    I'd like to make it super easy for my parents to toggle a smart DNS service on and off, without having to manually enter the addresses in the settings menu every time.

    Everything I've found so far is just for phones, not Android TV.

    Profiles on Prime Video app

    Can someone tell me how to enable profiles on the Prime Video app?

    I currently sideload the app to a Mi Box 3, (since it is not available on the store to my device). I have seen Mi Stick review videos with profiles option on the Prime Video app.

    Current version available on Aptoid is "5.2.45-googleplay-armv7a". Is there a different version for Mi Stick devices? Other Android TV devices that support Prime have profiles or not?
