Any updates on Sabrina/Nest/Chromecast Ultra 2?

    Posted: 03 Aug 2020 04:14 AM PDT

I'm in the market for my first android box and have been waiting for Sabrina for a while now. Have there been any recent updates or leaks about it?

Or should I just bite the bullet and go in for a Mi Box S or Firestick 4k ?

Usage - 4k-- Netflix, Amazon Prime, Plex. Wouldn't mind Kodi though. Smart home integration is a slight plus for futureproofing. Voice remote is a must. Can wait for up to two months.

    Project?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 07:52 PM PDT

So I have an Nvidia Shield TV (2019) and I thought about adding a DC power option instead of solely having to plug it into the wall and using AC. Would anyone like to see this? It would be nice for using things such as portable monitors. I figured it may be something worth sharing.

NFL Gamepass International on Android TV?

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 03:41 PM PDT

Is there any way to get NFL Gamepass International to work on an Android TV Box using a VPN?

I sideloaded an APK version v1.6.6 of the app but it won't open. I'm assuming the app was made for a mobile phone?

Anyone know if it's possible to get this working? I have a Shield TV.

    Cheers

Mi Box S date and time keeps resetting

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:30 AM PDT

So quite often after powering off the mi box the date resets to Jan 2017. And the WiFi says "connected, no internet" until I manually set the date and time. I've tried automatic date and manual but I'm still having this issue.

    Anyone know a solution?

Live Channels DVR and device power question

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:53 AM PDT

Hi, say migrating from Tivo to using a Live Channels TV/DVR with a HDHomerun. I have a question about how the DVR works. Does it automatically wake the device up for scheduled recordings? Any other issues I should know about? Thanks!

I am using the Jetstream Android TV box with a 64gig microsd card formatted as internal storage, but would also like to replicate this on a Hisense H9G Android TV.

After going to Home screen can't go back to previous source with "back" button - instead I have to select sources and then select HDMI. Can it be changed? Do all devices by all manufacturers has the same mechanic for android tv? I hve this problem on Philips android tv 8

    Posted: 02 Aug 2020 09:11 AM PDT

Im looking to buy a new TV for my mom, and it will be an android tv with android built in. As I don't watch cable box, for me the upper mentioned problem is not really a thing, but for this TV after going to home screen for ease of use I would like the back button to work from home screen going to previously used input. Philips 7303 does not work that way, so maybe TCL or Sony has this figured out?
