    Hello, i'm quite new to the Android TV ecosystem. Regarding updates and UI design: Does each vendor decide for themselves when to update what (like android smartphones), or are updates pushed out globally?

    Wifi or live TV play problem on mibox s

    6 months ago, someone gifted me a mibox s. I have already mibox 3. So I don't use mibox s frequently. I have updated mibox s recent stable version Android 9. I have noticed, it cannot play live iptv tv smoothly like tivimate, live nettv, Redbox tv, all others, it frequently buffers and stuck every few seconds. YouTube or other play was smooth, may it preloads some part, problem occurs on any live iptv app, I didn't use iptv app when it was on Android 8.1. So I can't tell the problem was present previously on Android 8.1 or after updating to 9. But, it always has wifi connecting issue. Wifi fast, but many times failed to connect. I factory reseted it two times, but problem doesn't solve. My WiFi is fast enough and 2.4 GHz. I tested in many wifi, report are same. There is no issue with any phones or even my mibox 3. They play same iptv app smoothly. Do Anyone here observed same problem with mi box s? Any solution?

    Controller acting as a remote

    I connected a controller to my android tv but when I press a it goes to netflix the dpad and analog works fine but the buttons acts as if I'm pressing the remote. Any idea how to fix this

    Assistant "What's this song?" on phone broken when Android TV is playing

    When something is playing on Android TV (2019 Shield TV Pro) and I ask my Android phone what the song is, it seems to try to get the information by contacting the TV rather than listening for the song. Once it told me the name of the episode, rather than the song, but mostly it says, "Sorry, I don't have that information." This comes up immediately, without the little sound graph showing that it's listening and trying to identify the song:

    Universal Android TV Remote

    I have a Phillips 55" Android TV and the factory IR remote is quite terrible/only works at certain angles etc. I was wondering What everyone recommends for a replacement remote that still has the basic required buttons and functions.

    I'm looking for the cheapest possible certified android TV box that can flawlessly play my uhd files from an external hard drive. I currently own a 4k firestick but it only allows fat32 external drives and the 4k bitrate limit is 31mbs. I don't like having loads of discs around. I prefer digital storage. Also, the purchase will be made within Europe.

    Sony XD9305: Will I get the Oreo Update?

    Hi,

    I saw in a previous post on this subreddit that the 2015 models are getting updated to Oreo.

    Considering that the XD93 were the high end models in 2017, I was expecting that they would also grt updated to Oreo (forget pie) but I haven't received any update. The cheaper models from 2017 already seem to have Oreo.

    Has Sony abandoned the models that people shelled out nearly 2000 euros for?
