    Fantasy life style game?

    Posted: 28 Aug 2020 08:29 AM PDT

I'm looking to find a game similar to the DS version of fantasy life. I want to collect materials, craft them into gear which I can use to push further into the game and repeat the process. The actual exploring part is key. I've been playing games like Slayer Scape 2 which is sorely missing that experience. I understand there's a fantasy life mobile game that hadn't been released in NA, which is a shame.

I've been thinking about emulating it, but I'm not sure how well that would work with the dual screens on my phone. Is there anything similar to this that is made specifically with Android in mind?

Reventure is my favorite mobile game this year, and it's on sale right now ($3->$1)

    Posted: 28 Aug 2020 06:25 AM PDT

    Reventure on the Play Store

Basically it's a Zelda themed metroidvania where you have to set out to save the princess.

Every item you pick up gives you new abilities, but weighs you down and limits your ability to jump. By trying different routes and combinations of items you can frequently find new places to go and new endings to the story.

All in all there are a hundred different endings, the game has a great sense of humor, and it works perfectly as a phone platformer because it's about creativity and trying new things rather than precision platforming.

I seriously can not recommend this game enough at $1.

I miss Force Arena so much. The closing still upsets me.

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 06:45 PM PDT

Say what you will about the company or the direction it was headed, but Star Wars Force Arena was my perfect mobile game. Matches were quick, the game was fun, it was strategically rewarding, and the visuals were great.

To this day I still think about the game constantly. I've never felt a connection to a game before, let alone a mobile game. I could play for hours and was on at least once a day. I had a great group who played and loved the community.

There are simply no alternatives that I know of. Games like it? Sure. Nothing is exactly like it and that kills me. I did not care that it was star wars. I enjoyed so much controlling a hero, fighting for towers, multiple lanes, and the various troop options. Not to mention special units and the two factions!

It was a moba with the best features. 1v1 matches could get intense and the different heroes changed the game play up so much.

I truly enjoyed this game. And it's gone. And I am sad. Thanks for read - I just needed to vent.

Any good turn-based combat/tactics games? Preferably Offline

    Posted: 28 Aug 2020 01:52 AM PDT

So far on mobile I've played,
    Battle Chasers
    FF
    Bannersaga1-2
    and Ash of Gods: Tactics.

I don't mind them being free or paid as long as they are decent games. Unlike some games that exists to siphon cash under the facade of being free.

I'm having a blast over 30 hours into BCN and I'd like to find more. Preferably with controller support. That's my biggest gripe for BCN.

Any good "Be a King" games?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 12:17 PM PDT

I recently discovered this genre of games where you play as a monarch of some sort whether it's a traditional western Europe inspired kingdom, oriental or anything really. Most of them seem to put a big focus on wives or concubines and generally this big power fantasy and all seem very similar and not that good.

Are any of these games good? Like a mobile Crusader Kings style experience with running a kingdom, managing your dynasty etc etc?

looking for a game like prime peaks.

    Posted: 28 Aug 2020 02:47 AM PDT

It's a bit like prime peaks but you can also build your own tracks. It also has a multiplayer leader board and competitions. I played it many years ago. Cannot seem to find it.

    Is Oddmar worth buying?

    Posted: 28 Aug 2020 02:23 AM PDT

I played through the free levels with a controller but so far I'm unimpressed. The art is very pretty but there's barely any level design or mechanics that gave me excitement like the Rayman games which I'm a huge fan of.

Does the gameplay get better in the later levels? Or is this a platforming game that's only "good by Android standards"?

What's the best budget gaming phone?

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 10:17 PM PDT

I'm looking for a good mobile phone with decent specs to play some mid-range games, that can last me for some years taking good care of it. I don't really care about FPS and TPS games like Fortnite or any racing games in Mobile. I'm more into RPG and Action RPG Games, and as far as I notice they don't tend to be very heavy on hardware, but I may be wrong.

From the best, I could find reaching my budget limit is these models Samsung Galaxy A51 - A71 and M31. Unfortunately, I can't deal with Xiaomi phones because my country doesn't have any store selling them, so I would have to import and in the current situation doing imports is way too expensive.

    Thanks for your attention.
    Edit: My max budget 350$.

Auto-chess games that is in portrait mode

    Posted: 27 Aug 2020 08:58 PM PDT

The only one I found is Auto Chess Legends: Tactical Teamfight by Imba, but it no longer updates. Here's the link.

I know there are plenty of good auto chess games on Android. But it would be awesome if there's one in portrait mode.
