    Has anyone managed to successfully remap the Netflix or Amazon buttons?

    I am trying to use Button Mapper but when I try to add either button, it just opens the app. So, I tried disabling the apps, it now just does nothing when I try to add the buttons.

    I want to cast my NOTEPAD app on my windows to the ANDROID MI tv. How to do that?

    They have removed inbuilt miracast. Is there any other ways to cast my laptop's screen to my TV?

    chromecast doesn't help as it just displays whatever that's there on google chrome.

    External Hard Drives

    Hey all, I'm looking into buying an android tv box of some sort. I'm hoping to attach an external hard drive (or 2) to it but I don't know which ones support 5 TB hard drives. I've heard the Shield can do it, but that box is a bit out of my price range. Are there any alternatives?

    Does Xiaomi Mi Box S 4K work with a WiFi extender? Or it only works with the main router's WiFi?

    I've had trouble in the past trying to connect a few of my devices to this WiFi extender that was supplied to me by my internet provider. (Some of them like Roku or Chromecast have worked well)

    Live Channels Recorded Content Unwatchable After Fast Forwarding

    I record OTA channels on my Shield TV using the Android Live Channels app, storing on an SSD set up as adopted storage. The DVR feature works fine and things were working well until a couple months ago when I noticed that I had trouble with playback after fast forwarding recorded content.

    Example:

    1. Record a program - no problem
    2. Playback - no problem
    3. Fast forward at 2x and then play - no problem
    4. Fast forward at 3x or higher - Playback becomes garbled and choppy, effectively making the rest of the recording unwatchable
    5. Rewinding to before the issue doesn't matter. Problem persists.
    6. Rebooting doesn't matter. Problem persists.

    So I am not sure if something is corrupting the recording as it's being scanned during fast forward, but given that the recording still seems to be "ruined" after a reboot does seem to back up that theory.

    Anybody else encounter this behavior? I hardly watch OTA, so it's not a huge inconvenience but it is annoying.

    P.S. By "garbled and choppy" I mean the video distorts into artifacts like a bad HD signal, and does this in intervals of a few seconds of good then garble then good. At first I thought maybe it was just a bad signal and the recording was fine. But experimentation shows that it's not the case and the steps in the example above are consistently reproducible.

    Shield TV live TV subscription

    Hi,

    I'm planning on buying Nvidia Shield TV, and I've seen Android TV 7.0 and later support live tv, that is have tuner support?

    I was finding conflicting and old information on forums so I would like to know does it work smoothly, and are there specific tuners that have to be used?

    Another issue, I have a subscription model with my provider, I have a CI module and do you know of any USB tuner that would work with AndroidTV that also has Common Interface support?
