USB Remote Control for Philips TV Posted: 06 Jul 2020 03:52 AM PDT I have Philips philips 49pus6501/12 android tv. But I'm having issues with the original remote. It sleeps when leave it on the couch automatically and wakes after 40-50 button pushes. I couldn't find any solution. Some people changed their remotes with original ones but the problem still continues. I wonder if I figure it out with buying some USB plug-in remote controller like this one https://www.amazon.com/X-Strong%C2%AE-Control-Wireless-Receiver-Android/dp/B014CFO2XY?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1 I will stop using the original philips remote and use usb remotes instead if that works. Any ideas? [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 05 Jul 2020 04:59 PM PDT Hi everyone, as we all know the Android TV remote control app can be used to type in text to Android TV, I was wondering if there was any way to do this outside of the app, in terminal preferably. Can anyone who is familiar with Android TV help on how this could be done? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! EDIT: I see this website here might be useful (I have a Sony TV) https://pro-bravia.sony.net/develop/integrate/rest-api/spec/service/appcontrol/v1_0/setTextForm/index.html but I have no idea how to use it, can someone help me out? EDIT 2: Found how to do it on Sony TV's with a keyboard open on the TV:

Massive confusion between TCL, VU and Nokia Tvs? Posted: 05 Jul 2020 09:57 AM PDT Hi guys So, i have decided to go for a budget 4k tv which will mostly be used for streaming content and PS4 gaming. And iam very confused between the three brands. Can you all help me with the brands and if you can suggest any models from these companies. Iam from India hence iam considering these brands as they fall in the budget category. And iam basically looking for features like HDR, dolby vision and a smoother UI experience. It doesn't matter how I set up my Mi TV 4S 55" there's always ~100ms of input lag. Posted: 05 Jul 2020 10:18 AM PDT Prior to buying this TV I've read some reviews and the input lag should be around 38ms when "Noise Reduction" and "Motion Smooth" are set to off. I think I've already tried every possible combination of picture and audio settings and HDMI properties like 2.0, CEC and also went into the Android developer options and the Xiaomi Factory Settings menu (which looks horrible, by the way) but the input lag is always exactly the same. When I disable NR and MS I can see a difference in the image. It is definitely off! But the input lag does not change at all. Any ideas what to try next? [link] [comments] |
