Wanted to keep it as cool and simple as possible, so all it takes is leaving a comment in the giveaway thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/minireview/comments/heegsg/1000_minireview_x_infinitode_2_giveaway/

The first 120 people are guaranteed an $8 prize. And then there are 3 x $28-value gifts for 3 randomly picked comments.

Huge thanks to the dev for allowing me to convince him, hehe.

    EDIT:

In case you don't know Infinitode 2, here's the review I did of it 10 months ago:

" Infinitode 2 is a minimalistic, level-based, endless tower defense game where we slowly research new upgrades in-between levels to improve our towers.

The enormous research tree, the developer's crazy attention to detail, and the very relaxed monetization is what makes this game my personal favorite TD on mobile. The gameplay experience is truly unique.

Best of all, the monetization is non-obtrusive and the primary reason to buy an iAP is to support the developer or slightly speed up progress.

Total game size: 19 MB - Offline Playable"

[Dev] I was finally able to finish and release game! (It's FREE)

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 06:51 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

We all know its hard to finish games/projects, I think I have about 20 that I started but never finished.

This game is called Road Runner and its about dodging cars on the road, obviously do not try this at home..

It's a simple game but can be quite addictive.

I don't really have anyone to share it with so not many people have played it, I would love for you to have a go and try to beat the high score.

Here is the Google Play link.

    Thank you!

[DEV] My brother and I have released our first game to the app store! Its an addictive downhill skiing game and its completely free!

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 03:35 AM PDT

    Hi everyone,

My brother and I released our first app "Slope Legends" to the play store around a month ago and it's been an interesting journey. We had never created a full game before this and mainly had messed around with a few small projects and so it was a fun challenge to get the game on the play store.

Currently we are sitting at an average of 5 star reviews with over 100+ downloads, which is when I quickly realised the hardest part of making a game is getting others to play it!

Its a procedurally generated downhill skiing game that can be quite addictive. All music is composed by myself and I intended it to be as relaxing as possible, whilst also soothing enough to heard over and over again!

Would love for you guys to check it out and any feedback or questions is always welcomed!

Click here to check it out!

    Hi all,
I just released PewPew Live, a sequel to a game that enjoyed some amount of popularity when it was released 10 years ago back when Android was just getting started :-)

Here's what you can expect from PewPew Live:
    • Fast and diversified gameplay with 4 different game modes.
    • LAN co-op: If you and your buddy are on the same wifi network, you can play together!
    • Smooth 60 fps graphics.
    • Retro-futurist vector graphics.
    • Unlockable ships, bullets, trails.
    • Online leaderboard with replays.
    • Game controller support.
    • Takes only 2MB of storage. It is one of the smallest game out there.
    • 100% free. No ads.

EA To Soft-Launch Apex Legends Mobile by the end of 2020.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 09:02 PM PDT

EA To Soft-Launch Apex Legends Mobile by the end of 2020.

There has been a lot of confusion regarding Apex Legends Mobile. During EA Play 2020, when it was announced that Apex Legends would be expanding to Nintendo switch, the mobile gaming community got super disappointment; some even claimed that Apex Legends Mobile is nothing more than just a rumor.

But on 22nd June EA's CEO Andrew Wilson during a fireside chat for the investor community has officially confirmed that EA wants to reach all players no matter what platform. In mobile games, the company has Plant v Zombies in soft-launch already and will also soft-launch Apex Legends By the end of this year. [Source]

    [Request] Games like "Fantasica"?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 11:54 AM PDT

Fantasica was one of the first games I downloaded from the Play Store when I received my first smartphone. I loved that game, but it stopped working several years ago and was removed from the Plays Store. If anyone knows a similar and equally good game, I would really appreciate it

We're a couple of guys trying to balance work and life while building this game. It took us much longer than expected, but we learned a lot along the way and we wanna share what we got because we truly think we got something worth sharing!

Our game is called Hammy Hop, where players play as a hamster running on a wheel just trying to survive! You can find it here on the Play Store. Let us know what you think!

[Request] Good weird and long games

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 01:29 PM PDT

    • It can be paid or free but not P2W
    • It needs to playable alone
    • No platform, tower defence, mobas, arcade, fps games
    • No portings
    • Itch.io, play store, whichever store will be fine

I'm searching a really good mobile game because I play mostly on pc and this raised my standards by a lot. Now I can't go out playing anything, when I'll be bored outside I'd scroll reddit but this can't fill the hole of a good, solid game. Until now the games that I enjoyed most on mobile were DOOM and geometry dash, pocket mprtys, CATTCH but those are "always" the same, yes, they're good but soon I got bore, I need something always fresh

Are there any good android compatible bluetooth video game controllers that are under $20?

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 01:29 PM PDT

I want to use a controller with both my phone and my tablet but neither of them support OTG so I have to use a bluetooth controller. I've never used a bluetooth controller before so I don't really know what to look for. I wanted on of those 8bitdo controllers but $40 is a lot of money to spend on something that I probably wont get much use out of because I mostly game on pc and none of my computers have bluetooth adapters. I was hoping for something under $10 but the cheapest I saw after doing a quick search on amazon was $25 and I don't even know if that controller was good. If there isn't anything good under $20 what is the cheapest good controller that I could buy.

[DEV] Looking for a Few VOCAL Testers Willing to Rip Apart My Game.

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 05:21 AM PDT

Hi, I have a card battler currently in early access on Google Play, and I need some help identifying areas where users are dropping off whether in the tutorial or elsewhere.

I've had plenty of people ask/offer to check the game out, but I rarely get constructive feedback. Instead I see they uninstall the game and disappear. So, if you are open to trying a new card game *and* aren't afraid to offer honest feedback, then I'd love to hear from you.

Eventually I'll move discussions to my sub-Reddit and Discord server, but for now simply reply here so I can contact you.

    Thanks!

[Request] Game suggestions for my 59-year old mom.

    Posted: 23 Jun 2020 10:57 AM PDT

Hello. I admit I'm not as up to date with Android games anymore. So I need help finding new games to try out for my mom.

    • She's into match 3, farming simulations, word games and adventure games preferably turn based. She probably played every iteration of Bejeweled and Candy Crush. She loves Harvest Moon and Stardew Valley.

    • Can be played offline.

    • Single player.

    • Paid or free is fine.

    • Clean or sizeable UI. My mom doesn't have the best eyesight anymore.

    Thank you for your time.

How I get the most out of Google Play's recommendation system

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 09:00 PM PDT

After playing mobile games for years on end, one tends to get bored with the average mobile game presented in the Play Store. As there is no real way to filter through the massive pile of games Google recommends in search of the next fun experience, I've come to rely on the one thing Google has put a lot of effort into making easy to use: the rating system.

Since anyone and everyone can give their opinions in less than a minute, anyone who feels distinctly more than "meh" can give their input on the game they're playing. This has led to a fairly accurate representation of how many gripes people in general have with a game.

Below is my opinion on how the rating system can be utilized to, at a glance, slog through the numerous games presented by Google Play. I still recommend reading through a few reviews to see what the less than stellar ratings say, but this method has served me well overall.

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT saying any games of a specific rating are bad. This is just my method for filtering through a system with no inherent filters.

Now without further ado, here's the guide:

< 4.2: Generally not worth your time. For some reason the overwhelming majority of people have rated this game 4 stars or lower, and that means we're moving on.

4.2-4.4: Can be good, but safe to skip over. These are primarily 4 star ratings, meaning most people got enjoyment out of it but thought it could be better. Good games will end up here because they're bloated with ads.

4.5: Good game, but has a few issues. If you're afraid of missing something, this is a good minimum standard.

4.6: Pretty good game. Enough people loved it enough to give the game more 5 star reviews than anything else. This is normally my minimum standard, but beware of companies that buy reviews.

4.7: This game's got something special to it. People really like it, and it's probably worth seeing why.

4.8: This game is one of the best. I very rarely see ratings of 4.8 and higher, and they're usually associated with puzzle games and text adventures. You're probably missing out if you're not playing this game.

4.9: God Tier. Play it now, and have no regrets. As the game becomes popular it will probably fall to a 4.8 or 4.7, but as of right now you are staring at a unicorn.

5.0: Diamond in the rough. If you find a game with this rating, assuming it has more than 100 downloads and it isn't a glitch, you have found something to be cherished. Literally nobody has rated it poorly, despite an innate tendency for someone somewhere to feel the urge to nitpick or give their 10 cents on why it's not perfect. This game is beautiful.

There you have it. I hope this serves you well and helps you get as much enjoyment out of your Android device as I have. If you have any critique on the guide, be it how I could format it better, key points I could add to help others, or just that I'm an incompetent oaf, please feel free to comment!

TLDR; Anything rated above 4.5 is worth checking out, and 4.8 is generally exceptional quality. Give games you really recommend a 5 star review.

You know about alchemy games, once you unlock certain amount of elements the game is over...

So I created this game with endless elements, if an element does not exist, you could post it and if it gets enough votes it automatically gets added to the game! (Original idea of CaryKH)

[Request] Looking for some non-P2W base building war game.

    Posted: 22 Jun 2020 05:23 PM PDT

    Copied from another subreddit.

I really like the idea of games like FFXV / Game of War / CoC where you have a base, build up an army, and go invade other players, along with a guild system and stuff.

However every single kind of those games I've seen are horribly P2W (I'm pretty sure half of them are the same game with redesigned art), was just wondering if there were any games in their style which are f2p friendly. Any suggestions?
