So some Maleware opens ads on my smartphone (Model: Samsung G S7) all the time. It started with only opening Chrome with a link, but now it also just opens Ads directly without using a browser. I installed several anti-maleware softwares, such as malwarebytes, but wasn't able to find anything. On some other forums people talked about "Peel Remote" causing that problem, but I couldn't find that app installed on my phone. Any suggestions, familiar problems or maybe even solutions? I'm trying to use my smartphone as my webcam in OBS, since my Smartphone's Camera is so much better than the webcam I have, the colors, resolution combined with fps, FOV, all that stuff. Which is why I want to use it as my webcam. I know about DroidCam for example, but I would much prefer connecting my phone via USB and also being able to take full advantage of my phones ability to record in 1080p60fps. However, both my accountant and my wife have said in separate cases that when they call my phone, it goes straight to voicemail. I never received a "missed call" notification on my phone for these things. Also, I can make calls out just fine. And people can answer my calls I make on this phone just fine. So I prefer smaller phone been using android since start and love them (rn I have a s8) but lately they have been getting bigger and bigger and I can't find any small flagship android phone. So the only option left is to wait for for he new iPhone, which will be same size as iPhone 11 pro (which is perfect size). | Two numbers on one phone, Company and Personal? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 07:42 AM PDT I currently have a note 8 on a prepaid ATT plan. My work gave me a Verizon Note 10+. I want to only carry one phone, but keep my personal phone number. I have it set up to forward my phone calls from the note 8 to the note 10, and am working on forwarding texts, but not sure how it will work when I return calls or texts. Is there a better way to have two numbers on one line? Ideally I'd like to cancel prepaid plan, or get a cheaper one to be able to keep my phone number and use the new line for everything else, but that's probably not going to happen. I thought the note 10 would be dual sim, but it turns out its not. I guess one of my main question is how can I make my outgoing calls and text for personal use look like its coming from my personal number and not the work number? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Apr 2020 01:36 PM PDT My Samsung galaxy A30 has been rebooting all by itself several times a day since about two days ago. I didn't do anything apart from update a few apps before this issue began (I've uninstalled those btw). I feel it's a software issue and a factory reset might likely solve it but I'd like that to be a final resort. So I'd appreciate if anyone could help me hunt down whatever the cause. I've really been in the mood to play it again, and found an APK for the game, but it only supports up to android 4. My phones software is on 9. Are there any emulators or mirrors I could try? I realise I can change the screen time out in the settings menu, but I don't want to have to do that everytime I use the calculator. Everything else with multiple notifications collapses, but nothing from the Reddit app. This is very recent and I don't see an option anywhere to group them. Any help would be great, thanks! Other than that however, the audio and other apps seem to work fine (my alarm still went off this morning). | Help! My internal storage is lost Posted: 28 Apr 2020 12:35 PM PDT I have a ZTE Axon 7 running LineageOS 15.1. It's rooted, with TWRP. Today, my phone decided that it doesn't want to find my internal memory. If I open ES Explorer, it shows internal memory as 0.0 of 0.0. I can't access my photos through any media viewer. I can't access my downloads from my browser. I can't get to any of my files. BUT, everything seems to work normally otherwise. My apps are still there, and they work. I can open the camera, and take a picture, but it doesn't save it. I can access the internet through my browser. I can check my email and get push notifications. I rebooted my phone, put in my FDE password (fully expecting that it wouldn't work) and it booted right up. My text messages and call logs are all still there. If I connect it to my computer via USB and change to MTP, my computer recognizes the phone, but Explorer says "This folder is empty". It seems like some apps can see the data, but others can't. For example, I can see my text messages in NextSMS, but I can't back them up with SMS Backup and Restore. Is there anything I can do short of wiping it and starting from scratch? [link] [comments] |

You might have heard about a vpn called speedify, the trick here is vpn will combine all your internet connections and boost your internet speed. i had FUP limit based unlimited plan on my network but using speedify and connecting it with multi devices i was able to gain 'full pack' type of speed. this is the coolest thing i have learned in the tech world. have you guys found any way to archive this same thing using the android. what do you guys think about this stuff. Unfortunately, nothing was stored on the external SD card. When I plug it into my computer, its makes a noise as if it recognize a device has been plugged in but nothing shows in explorer? Basically I'm looking for something that will sync track to my phone, then allow me to download for offline playback. Do any of the other music streaming apps do this well? | Screen Recorded Video Freezes on Specific Frame During Playback? Posted: 28 Apr 2020 10:42 AM PDT So my phone is a Galaxy S9 running standard android 10, non root, no custom roms. For some reason recently - I don't know when it started exactly, but I've definitely noticed it within the last few days, some of my screen recordings are wonky, where they'll get stuck on a specific frame despite the audio continuing. If I scan some amount of distance past that point (it seems to vary?) the video plays as normal. I thought it might have been minor video corruption due to bad sectors or something, but rerecording the same footage multiple times has it stop not at exactly the same frame, but usually within the sameish timespan. I've noticed it stopping anywhere from after 20-30 seconds or so to 2 minutes in. I've already cleared the cache on all the samsung capture, video editor, and video player apps, and even cleared the camera app's cache for good measure. It isn't necessarily a problem with my phone being unable to play back video at all, though, because some files are completely fine, leading me to guess that it might be an encoding problem? Maybe? This is using the built in screen recorder on android 10, though, so I don't exactly have all that many settings options, and I haven't changed anything on it since before I noticed this issue. As far as pulling the files onto my computer and playing them go, it's... a little inconsistent? Some will play back completely fine despite getting stuck on my S9, others will get stuck on the same frame as they did on my phone. Honestly, I'm baffled. What can I do to resolve this?
