| Posted: 27 Mar 2020 06:21 AM PDT Have a Hisense Android TV that was running low on internal space so I added a 16gb USB as device storage. That eventually got slow and started throwing up warnings that internal storage space was almost full. I just put 128 GB USB in there converted it to internal storage ask the Android TV to migrate everything over and got rid of the old 16GB. It still lists the 128 GBS having no extra space I went to actually look at it there's only about 2 GB of content (on the USB) and 4.3 GB of total space (internal + USB). Is there a total space limit on Android TV? Is there some reason why I can't get it to recognize a larger USB drive as actually being larger? It seems to only get a gigabyte or two out of the USB. Posted: 27 Mar 2020 05:00 AM PDT So, with so many people shut in, and having recently found that my wife has never seen The Room, I was thinking of doing a virtual movie screening party. The easiest way to do it would be to use my Nvidia Shield to play the movie and stream it to others, but I am unsure if there are any apps available to facilitate that. Is there anything like Zoom or Webex that I can use, that will let me play a movie on the Shield and send it out to a video conference? [link] [comments] |

| Expanding my Toshiba Android TV Memory space with USB HDD Posted: 27 Mar 2020 08:48 AM PDT So.. after 4 days, of countless hours.. I didn't sleep last night I am turning to the great reddit for help , suggestions, and alternatives. Google has no answers yet. a WD 4 TB USB HDD takes forever to even detect in the tv, so I have opted to not wait anymore and attempt on it anything. I was Once a king. I once got 2 tb to successfully format as device storage. Everything worked flawlessly. I have no idea how long I waited on the stuck screen of format though.. I slept.. ate.. pooped.. played with my kids.. All this while the tv restarts and the USB becomes unreadable for tv, so I have to format the USB on laptop and repeat.. I don't know after how many attempts of formatting the USB on laptop and retrying , and that perhaps formatting my TV as well helped but some combo of some stuffs I did in the last 4 days that successfully worked and I was finally able to Download torrents , extract zips, move files , and felt like a KING ! One day later.. my wife tells me to switch off tv and come to bed.. immediately out of nowhere my 3 year old jumps off the bed and pulls the switch..something he hasn't done ever in his life. All I did.. was so I could let him play ( actually relive myself) the old games we used to play during our childhood. When he pulled the plug of tv the USB got undetected and so I am back pulling my hair. Formatting 128 gb USB stick as device is breeze. But it's not enough for my video collections, for my game collections. Infact unzipping them from the same location makes the storage all the more small. So now I am on my 7or 8th attempt, unable to successfully format my 1 tb or 2 tb USB HDD as device storage. I even fancied formatting a 1 tb as device storage and attempting to clone it as backup to my another 1 tb USB HDD however.. easeuse isn't able to understand it as device storage are encrypted by Android device. I have a 1 tb formated as removable storage but it's cat poop . Unable to write.. can't browse with explorer except some specific file locations. Flud is able to download tor to this removable storage, but I won't be able to extract, or move files.. Winrar isn't able to write /extract data to this storage either. So I will have to rely on laptop I was once a king.. 😠Why is adding storage and creating backup on Android TV so medieval period. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 26 Mar 2020 09:57 PM PDT My mi box 3 is telebee version, model: MDZ-16-AB, and it's incompatible with NF, i heard if installed an international rom, it would work with NF, but flash a rom on oreo may irrevocably destroy the MRD code,so I have to downgrade it to noungat, and work from there, so where can i find downgrade tutorials? | Mi tv box S not discoverable to cast without internet? Posted: 26 Mar 2020 01:27 PM PDT Hello, my expectation was to download some movies offline to cast those of my smartphone to mi tv box S on our weekend place. The issue is that when I try to cast to my mi tv box, no device appear available. It is connected to tv and network all works fine, just cast is the problem. I tried it yesterday with internet and all worked fine. Only one difference is that wifi (router) have no access to internet now. I also tried to set up another hotspot all is connected to same network just without internet access and I did not find a way to cast to the box this way. Is the internet access really an issue? Or any advices to cast/discover box without internet? [link] [comments] |
