Sunday Rant/Rage (Mar 01 2020) - Your weekly complaint thread! Posted: 01 Mar 2020 03:15 AM PST Note 1. Join our IRC, and Telegram chat-rooms! Please see our wiki for instructions. This weekly Sunday thread is for you to let off some steam and speak out about whatever complaint you might have about:
Rules 1) Please do not target any individuals or try to name/shame any individual. If you hate Google/Samsung/HTC etc. for one thing that is fine, but do not be rude to an individual app developer. 2) If you have a suggestion to solve another user's issue, please leave a comment but be sure it's constructive! We do not want any flame-wars. 3) Be respectful of other's opinions. Even if you feel that somebody is "wrong" you don't have to go out of your way to prove them wrong. Disagree politely, and move on. [link] [comments]

I figured I'd post some samples from my LG V60 (preproduction). Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:56 PM PST I really don't know what it is but I've only ever been able to get this look I like out of LG phones. The pictures tend to look more full and dense; more filmic than true to life. Here's another example of what I mean. The otherwise unremarkable image just feels rich and has a sense of atmosphere rather than just a clean capture of the scene. Also, I know I have too many cats. It's fine. These are all edited, obviously, so here are the originals. [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:31 PM PST I prefer bezels over popups and notches. What about you? I was looking for a new phone and was surprised to see that all companies are focusing on bezel-less phones. I think that bezel-less phones look ugly and bizzare [link] [comments]

Opinion: YouTube on Android with gestures pill Posted: 29 Feb 2020 10:12 AM PST YouTube needs to recognise if there's gestures being used, and display the pill without requiring to swipe from bottom in order to make it appear, as occasionally when swiping from bottom I end up seeking the video to random parts. This is not a big deal on my Galaxy S9 as I can hard press where the home button would otherwise be, but it's a potential issue on any other phone, such as the S20+ I'm upgrading to. IIRC on iOS, the pill shows up when you tap the display to bring up the YouTube controls, so you only need to swipe once to go home instead of twice from bottom. Alternatively, the pill could be placed on the short side of the display as the navigation bar used to be. [link] [comments] |
