- My Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is always on safe mode. It volume up button is working while volume down not. Internet says that is the cause, the safe mode always appear no matter i restart or factory reset the phone via settings. I cant hard reset since the volume up button isnt working.

| Posted: 15 Mar 2020 12:51 PM PDT Hi, I'm trying to connect my Samsung SM-G318ML (i.e. Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 Neo) running Android 4.4.4 to my pc and I would want to activate either mass storage or MTP but I can't no matter what I try, my phone only charges when I plug it to my pc with a USB cable. Here's several things I've seen recommended online and how they all fail:
What infuriates me is that I've connected it before but I think it was before I rebooted the phone, and since then some options seem to be no longer available. Any help is appreciated, I have several picture and audio files in my phone that I really need to get to my PC! [link] [comments] |

One day I opened the play store app, it showed the loading circle, & then it would "reopen" over & over & over. Since having this issue I've tried different things like reverting my app's version, reupdating it, clearing cache/data, rebooting after any of these options, etc. Once in a while I'll get lucky & get access just long enough to update all of my app's before it happens again. If I minimize the app, then it'll forcefully appear, continuing it's recycle, until I close the app. The one thing I haven't attempted is a factory reset which I'd very much prefer to avoid. Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, on the other hand, has a powerful battery of 4030mah and an inferior processor. Should I sacrifice performance in favor of battery? I'd like to stay with a phone for 2-3 years. Any time I record a video through the True Zoom mod, it sounds all shitty. It did not do this before going to Pie, and it's not something in the microphones. I tested it on my son's OG Z Play and the audio is fine. Camera app and Moto mods manager app and such are all up to date. [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 15 Mar 2020 10:28 AM PDT Hey folks! My grandmother purchased a phone for someone a while ago, they set it up, then purchased a new phone. They gave my grandmother back the phone she bought. We're now in the process of trying to set up the phone for someone else, but I'm running into an issue. I've tried to hard reset the phone, succeeded, and wiped all of the data from the previous owner. However, after I boot the phone I'm prompted for the Google account that was originally used to set up the device. This is despite a hard reset, and selecting the option to wipe all data on the phone. Is there a way to bypass the google account screen? So far nothing seems to work. I can't even get into the settings to enable USB debugging or anything. The phone is an LG Q7+. Thanks for any help! [link] [comments] |

I have the cloud blue so if possible would prefer a clear case BUT not 100% needed. Should be slamboy certified as such so raised edges. | my phone keeps opening a random page on my default browser Posted: 15 Mar 2020 09:58 AM PDT my default browser on mobile has been firefox (nightly), and this happened a few days ago when i unlock my phone chrome would just randomly open a page i have never visited, so i decided to uninstall chrome, but nothing has changed except for the pages being opened in my firefox, sometimes being blocked by ublock origin. i have tried to search for possible malware in my device, but there are no results under avira and bitdefender scanning. this is frustrating. i'm using samsung galaxy j6 and all of the software have been updated to their newest versions, including the security batches. For some strange reason, my internet keeps crashing on the default app, nothing in my gallery is wanting to load, none of my music is playing anything. It shows the track names and etc but it wont play the song. It shows the album covers in my gallery but it wont show any pictures when tapping to see the album contents. What is going on? How do i fix this? I am very frustrated right now. Literally, the only thing that the native gallery and music app is doing is just crashing. | Disable Google Assistant 'Swipe From Corner' Gesture Posted: 15 Mar 2020 06:09 AM PDT With my phone, the OnePlus 7T, whenever I swipe from either of the bottom corners of the screen the Google Assistant window opens. I find this really annoying because it gets in the way with most apps and I'd much rather only have the function of holding down the power button for 0.5s to open the assistant. I've already tried removing Google as my 'assist app' (Default Apps > Assist & voice input) however it won't allow me. Are there any other ways to turn off this feature? -Ick [link] [comments] |

| Sideloading + mods + safetynet question Posted: 15 Mar 2020 01:36 AM PDT Got a bit of a question regarding sideloading apps and mods. I'm getting a Pixel 3, and I don't really want to root it, but I still want to use AdAway and a couple more apps that require root to work. Can I use TWRP to sideload those apps to the system folder and have them working, then install a couple of interface mods, get rid of TWRP, and lock the bootloader again, and will apps that require a safetynet check complain after that? I know I can get magisk with a safety patch module and achieve what I want much more easily, but magisk keeps messing up my current Samsung so I would like to avoid using it on a new phone if I can help it.
