- So my phone got jammed between a door and a wall and the screen is unresponsive. It's an LG G3. The issue is, even though it's in recovery mode, when I try to move files from my phone to my pc, it just goes into an infinite "calculating time to copy" prompt.

Downloaded WhatsApp. Turned off media visibility, which means no images or videos will be downloaded to gallery which is perfect. | Hopefully someone can figure out what I am looking for Posted: 18 Mar 2020 11:21 PM PDT Ok so this is driving me nuts , I had created another post saying I bough a Umidigi A3 pro and it would reboot whenever he wanted (some times it would last hours without rebooting and other times would reboot like 10 times in less then 5minutes) got no response there but not the question here. So I know how every (or almost all) android phones have a boot menu ( usually volume + unlock buttons ) but today strange thing happened to my phone , I was using it as normal and as normal it rebooted but it went into a menu I never seen ( I didnt notice if I pressed any buttons on boot I DONT THINK SO ) , it was a blue and black menu where it started testing a few stuff and then I could test other stuff and it started beeping on a few tests , I cant really give much info because it didnt take long to leave the menu and was wondering tf was happening . I tried a bunch of searches on google but if I use the words Blue ;Boot ;Beep I will only find Bluescreen ; Bot menu as I mentioned ; and beeping not related to what I am talking about . Thanks . | Posted: 19 Mar 2020 04:29 AM PDT I have a ulefone note 7p as a spare phone and it runs stock android 8 and I found when an app like messenger asks to draw other over apps I can enable it then about 5 minutes later it will disable the app having access then turning the app off and it's really annoying is there any way to fix this. | Changing Default Photo Folder For Apps Posted: 19 Mar 2020 12:55 PM PDT Reposting this from a year ago because I never got a response but the thread was upvoted a few times and it got archived! I'm super nutty about having all of my photos organized and I really hate the way Android Apps create new device folders every time a photo is saved/captured (Messages, Textra, Twitter, VSCO, Snow, etc). Is there a way where I can force these applications to save photos to device folders that I've created (example: Download, Edited Photos, etc)? Note that I'm not looking for SD card or Cloud syncing, I'm talking either directly forcing the photo to be saved into a different folder than defined by the app or an app that will automatically move them. The 16gb ram, 512gb storage model is much cheaper than if importing from US to UK for me. They claim no import fees and ships in May (suggesting corona virus doesn't delay that). | Share Menu for Facebook Messenger no longer opening Posted: 19 Mar 2020 04:44 AM PDT Hi all, I just wanted to share a screenshot with some contacts on Facebook Messenger, but when I click the messenger icon from the share menu on my phone, it goes straight to Messenger, without opening the share menu in the app, so I can't share anything. It randomly started doing this today, and I've tried everything I could think of to fix it: - forced the apps to close - reinstall apps (both Facebook and Messenger - restart phone - update everything - clear cache and default settings of anything Facebook related If I install Messenger Lite, it does work, but that doesn't have as many options, so it's not ideal... I've only found one other mention of this problem online and the suggestions to solve it didn't work for me. I have a Huawei P20 Pro running version 9.1.0.380 of the EMUI, and I had not made any changes to my system or updated any apps prior to this problem appearing. Any ideas? Clicking the X next to each one will take forever. I have a rooted phone running Android 9 and I've bought Titanium Backup. I don't think I can use TB to do this, but if I can, I'd love to know how. I have been scouring Google for possible options - but am not very tech savvy - so, I hope maybe someone else has experienced the issue and could assist. My LG G3 had it's screen go out some time ago - so, I have a black display - however, it still accepts touch feedback, as in - I can hear the screen unlock when I swipe, but cannot see what I'm doing. Unfortunately, when hooked to my PC, it only passively charges the phone and I cannot "feel my way through the dark", so to speak, to flip it over to USB File Transfer - and I'd like to offload the photos on it. Is there a program that can send a script to my phone to unlock this option - or is there some other way I can get into the internal memory? The one that goes from the edges to the center on the bottom of the screen? Something similar appeared on my Android device 3 or 4 times in the last 10 minutes. I have screenshots of this. I was playing mcpe and suddenly these lines moved along the bottom of the screen for 1 or 2 seconds. I didn't get any special notification or anything. Only thin it does with both events and reminders is a silent notification which is completely useless. The problems didn't appear suddenly, it got gradually worse. I'm therefore not sure if the problems are caused by a recent update. The problem that appeared first: Spotify randomly stops playing music while being in the background. Some months ago, this happened only rarely maybe after an hour of listening. Now it happens quite often, sometimes even 30 seconds after starting a song. Especially, if I open another app, for example, try to load a website in chrome, Spotify gets stopped almost immediately. I dug around a bit and turned on 'show crash reports for background apps'. No crash reports are displayed, in Logcat I only found the following entry:
Recently, maybe for 10 days: Youtube sometimes randomly closes without any error message Instagram and Reddit often close when I open a link within the app Chrome often closes when I click around a lot, for example, load a new page and quickly press back Gboard (Google keyboard) randomly closes while tipping, then takes something like 10 seconds to open again Now, maybe for the last three days, the phone is pretty hard to use. The home page takes, compared to some weeks ago, disproportionally long to load, apps often stop and playing music in the background isn't really possible anymore. The problems that only appeared recently are greatly improved after restarting the phone. I feel like they appeared around the same time as the last smaller software update. [link] [comments] |

After a quick search I saw people say that only att would provide updates but wouldn't do it if using a t mobile Sim card. Are there any options to get updates other than finding a att sim? (#Telus) When first connecting, you hit the captive portal where you must give a name and email address. After which, you don't need to do so again for one month, whereupon it expires and you have to repeat the above process. You can register multiple devices with the same email address (and I have had more devices than currently, so this is almost certainly not the issue.) For some reason, my Chinese tablet running Android 9.0 (excellent specs for low price, gamble paid off), requires me to register and reactivate at least once per day. I don't know why. There, I deactivated the FM radio app. I quit the settings app, and then there is was no FM radio app, but also no settings app in the home screen. I don't know what to do to recover those two apps. And since their is no settings app, I cannot do the factory reset. I did not activate USB debugging mode either. I reinstalled the firmware update from the phone, but it did nothing. We tried refreshing the firmware using ODIN and copying her files again but after a few days it gets back again to this 60GB state. It's so frustrating, what should we do? Posted: 19 Mar 2020 05:20 AM PDT I have a Blackberry Priv which is running Android 6.0.1 - the 'Telephone' app has been fully updated from the Play store (version 2.21) but does not appear to have any native blacklisting capabilities. I'm sure I read that Marshmallow dialer has this feature. Can anyone shed some light on this or recommend an alternative ad-free dialer?
