Built in mic is used in these cases instead which really sucks Im using S20+ & Bose NC700 headphones but I don't think it's a specific problem to this hardware [link] [comments] |

I found this in my phone under Settings when going to Google(app) > Manage Space > The image in question I'm looking to clear space so if this has little to no effect, then I'm just gonna clear it. | How to make one contact noisy when in silent mode Posted: 09 Mar 2020 10:39 AM PDT Disclaimer: I am aware of how to do this in Do Not Disturb mode (Whitelist etc), but is there a way to make one contact generate a notification sound for text messages when in silent mode? I'm a volunteer for mountain rescue - I need my phone out of do not disturb mode but on silent, for general work updates while I'm in meetings etc, but if we get a rescue call (which comes through as a text), I need to hear the phone immediately. Hi guys, I hope someone can help me with a locked phone. Yesterday a friend of mine came with the locked phone of his daughter. She used a patern lock and forgot what patern she used. description: she has a nokia 2.2 with android one, not sure what version but the phone should be up to date. Wifi and bluetooth are both on. what I've tried: - guess the patern, the phone locks after a time for 1000 sec. - logged in on "find my phone", but I was unable to change the password. (only possible with old versions of android) - tried to reset the phone using "find my phone" but the site is unable to connect to the phone. -tried to reset the phone using the buttons: volume up and power button only resets the phone. volume down and power button opens fastboot mode, but there is no option to reset. what I'm thinking: Can it be that the factory menu is not activated? I've tried all the basic things like antivirus but it doesn't come up with anything, any technical knowhow? I can't phone anyone either, my microphone doesnt seem to work. | Backup and restore RCS messages? (Pixel 4XL) Posted: 09 Mar 2020 07:17 AM PDT When I upgraded to my Pixel 4XL, I concluded that relying on the built-in Android device backup (for SMS) and Google One (for MMS) is not a reliable way to backup and restore all messages (including media/photos). Upon restoring, there were a lot of missing messages and media. So I reverted to using SMS Backup & Restore, despite that it's no longer as trustworthy (due to new ownership), because it works well. I've been reluctant to enable RCS because, as I understand, SMS Backup & Restore cannot handle RCS messages. I'm not certain whether Android built-in device backup or Google One backs up RCS, but it doesn't really matter because I find those services aren't reliable for SMS/MMS, anyway. So should I continue to keep RCS disabled, or do I have any other options to assure my SMS, MMS, and RCS will all be backed up and able to be fully restored? [link] [comments] |

However, this occassionally doesn't work as intended and music/in-app noise comes through. Also, this app silences the whole phone, not the specific app, so if i'm listening to an audiobook or music when i open the apps that are silenced, that is also silenced, which I don't want. | Activating hotspot makes mobile data not work after a few minutes Posted: 09 Mar 2020 09:25 AM PDT Hi! Just notice that when I turn the hotspot on my mobile data eventually stop working. Show a tiny X over the network symbol. I got two SIMs they both behave the same way when activating hotspot. After i disable it i need to manually either toggle plane mode or toggle mobile data to get the 4G getting back to normal. This is actually my second moto one vision. First one didn't had this issue but was running Android 9. So I hoping that is an issue with Android 10 on this device and not an actual Hardware only issue :/ What you guys think? Anyone having this same issue on different devices?

Afaik, android supports TRIM since 4.3 but there's very little information regarding it all. And somewhere, i read that smartphones actually don't perform any TRIM operation at all. Very confused. I'm trying to retrieve files from the device, however any option I find on google requires me to either have an app installed on the phone or for me to do something on the display (both of these actions require me to use the screen, so they aren't an option) When connected to my PC, I can pull up the "Galaxy A20" folder that pops up, but nothing is in it (presumably because I haven't allowed it to from within the phone) What are my options? Posted: 09 Mar 2020 08:23 AM PDT I'm looking to buy an S10 or S10e at the end of this year (my current phone is still working fine) but both phones were released in March 2019. Looking at my Canadian carrier's website, they still sell the S9, which was released in March 2018. Is there a general benchmark for how many months/years a Samsung is sold by carriers? When it comes to Apple, they're still selling iPhone 7 and 8, which are almost 5 years old. The longer I can wait to buy, the better. [link] [comments] |

| Android phone loses connection to Google off WiFi Posted: 09 Mar 2020 06:38 AM PDT Hey everyone, I recently switched over to android from iOS last week and it's been great, except for one tiny thing. All the Google apps like Chrome, Google Maps and YouTube have no connection when I get off Wifi, meanwhile other apps like Instagram, Facebook, etc I'm able to connect to the network with no issue and make posts, watch videos, etc. I'm able to get Google to work while I'm out and about by resetting my phone, but the moment I connect to Wifi and leave, no connection to Google whatsoever unless I restart my phone. | Weird glitch on Note 10, use PIN after restart without restarting Posted: 09 Mar 2020 01:30 AM PDT So yesterday I was using my PC, minding my own business and I wanted to check my phone (Note 10), so I on my phone and the lock screen said Use PIN after restart which is weird because i did not restart my phone.
