Posted: 29 Mar 2020 11:06 AM PDT For example I'm pretty sure that if you're listening to music on an iOS device and scroll thru snap stories the music will still play and the stories will be kinda quite is there any way to implement that back on Android? | Shopping app (whitelist, blacklist) Posted: 29 Mar 2020 10:27 AM PDT Hello, I'm looking for app which I can use to make lists of products, one of the list will be whitelist and the other will be blacklist. The basic idea is like that, I'm going to store all the products I liked to the whitelist, and all the products I dislike to the blacklist. So next time when I'm in the shop I will know what I like and will buy it. There are a lot of same products made by different brands, and it is very hard to me to know all of them by head. I'm ok paying for one that isn't going to be too intrusive with permissions and allow me to directly connect with friends, so I can play with my son. Any recommendations? Also any recommendations on other games I can play with my son, (10-14 age range), would be appreciated. I stopped playing games before the first WOW expansion so I've lost touch a long time ago. I used to fly back to see him and take him to see other family regularly and everything's been canceled, and I don't know when we can reasonably expect things to get to a point where it's safe to travel. I have also found two guides in how to do this but, the first was extremely outdated (for Android 4 I think) and the other one was outdated as well, with the addition of needing xposed, which I don't want to use because it causes my device to fail safetynet, breaking stuff like Netflix. That got me interested in phone/Android architecture and security and I'd wanted to ask you experts for some reading material you especially like. Turning off Bluetooth doesn't help, factory resets or using the Sony Companion to wipe the phone and reinstall the OS don't help either so I thought I'd start with what's on the ROM? What partitions are created for which purposes and how can I see a hidden one? My goal is to learn how to do a proper wipe of the entire phone, all partitions, and load Android 10 or 11 (or a security focused custom ROM) from a Windows PC. Right now it's running Oreo. I, few times caught the notification "security information updating",which I cannot stop when in progress. | Best AptXHD or AptX Adaptive Ear Buds Posted: 29 Mar 2020 06:43 AM PDT I'm finding a lot of ear buds that support AptX, but even many higher end earbuds only support AAC or SBC. Since I'm partial to the AptXHD codec, does anyone have a recommendation for AptXHD or AptX Adaptive earbuds? Price range is $80-$150. I searched and didn't find many results for this query. Even Amazon's list of "AptXHD Compatible Headphones" list models that are only AptX. | I have weird problem with phone memory. Posted: 29 Mar 2020 03:48 AM PDT I was cleaning my storage space to reach >1GB of free space (I wanted to download long video). I deleted plenty of stuff (music, videos, apps, apps data) and used cleaner at the end. After cleaning phone indicated 1.1GB of free space. So I started downloading video (it was 1GB big). The problem is, downloading was stopped at 20% becouse of not enough free space. I thought that it is impossible, so I canceled download. Then I used cleaner once again and it indicated only 215MB of free space. Do you maybe know what's wrong and how can I fix that? I'm really annoyed at this point... | Stop a section of the screen from receiving inputs? Posted: 29 Mar 2020 11:37 AM PDT I dropped my phone and now the bottom of the screen is clicking by itself like crazy and making the phone unusable. I already tried looking for a solution and thought I found one using this command
However this only stops anything from being shown there. While now stuff has stopped opening by itself, I still cant use it since all the inputs at the bottom are still being registered and blocking my inputs from working. Anyway to do a similar command to stop that part of the screen from being able to be clicked on entirely? [link] [comments] |
| Data recovery from a Note 9 in boot loop Posted: 29 Mar 2020 01:35 AM PDT So this morning my Note 9 was functioning as normal and then all of a sudden the fingerprint scanner became non-responsive. I figured that it was just a minor hiccup so restarted the phone and now its in a perpetual boot loop. I have tried wiping the cache partition and starting in safe mode but still the same issue of starting, asking for my encryption PIN and then hanging on the SAMSUNG screen for a while before restarting. When viewing the rescue log, there is a fatal exception in system process biometrics.fp, which i assume is correlating to the fact my fingerprint scanner stopped working. Now here's the dumb part. I would really, really like the photos from this phone but am unwilling to take the phone in for a repair as the photos include hundreds of NSFW pics of myself as I sell adult content online and don't want to deal with someone potentially grabbing all of my content including things that haven't been released yet. I have already gone and replaced the phone today (Galaxy Note 10+) so I really don't care about the Note 9 having a warranty voided or even being functional - I just want the data from it. Any time I get an amber alert, or any of the presidental alerts like the one that just came out a few days ago, I have to hit accept on every other amber alert that I have gotten since I got the phone. Posted: 29 Mar 2020 10:38 AM PDT Happened a couple days ago where I noticed my phone wouldn't unlock with the pattern, I would have to use the fingerprint scanner instead. And now for the past couple days my phone vibrates but all notifications seem to be turned off. I have to open each app (whatsapp, messages, mail, ect..) to find the notif. I checked the settings and everything is switched on. I tried restarting the phone, checking for updates but nothing helped. Anyone else experienced this problem? [link] [comments] |

| LG V40 / Android 9. GPS keeps turning itself on. Posted: 29 Mar 2020 07:40 AM PDT It seems every time I pick up my phone the gps is switched on. I turn it off but, sure enough 15 minutes later, it's on again or even while I'm using it the gps icon on flashes in the top bar. Troubleshooting so far: -WiFi and Bluetooth scanning off -Location Permissions off for every app on the list under Lock screen and security > Location > App Level Permissions
-Find My Device off under Lock screen and security If I go to the Recent Location Requests section it lists two things: Google play services (for which permissions are off per the aforementioned list) and LG IMS, which I don't see anywhere else in the phone. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
