Posted: 17 Mar 2020 09:22 PM PDT Hello. Recently I've come to a realization I hadn't thought about before regarding Coronavirus prevention. Desinfect your smartphones! I've look for official information from brands/carriers (Apple, Google and AT&T) and both Apple and Google recomend using 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes or desinfecting wipes. AT&T recommends utilizing a spray bottle with 70% isopropyl alcohol on a soft lint-free cloth and wipe your device while it's powered down and unplugged. Be careful and avoid getting moisture in any openings and don't submerge your phones in any cleaning agents. Where I live I can find 70% isopropyl alcohol on electronics stores and pharmacies but it may vary from country to country. Remember: Smartphones screens tend to have an oleophobic coating that can be damaged when using abrasive products. I can't guarantee this solution provided by Google/Apple and AT&T can't damage smartphones from another manufacturers.
