I hope this isn't a stupid post, but I just figured out you can record video in camera mode by keeping the camera button down. As a Dad with a little one, this is HUGE.

Seriously though, I should've known about this sooner. Shame on me.

Galaxy buds and Galaxy buds+ both launched at the same price in Canada

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 04:20 PM PST

It just thought it was interesting when the increased the us price of the buds by 20 dollars USD and knowing that the originals were quite overpriced in Canada I wanted to see what they would do with the Canadian pricing and surprisingly it is the same

•The Galaxy buds launched at 129 USD which is currently 171.40 CAD •The Galaxy buds plus launched at 149 USD which is 197 CAD

It's nice to see that Samsung is no longer screwing over Canadians with their product pricing

FIX for disappearing home button problem

    Posted: 25 Feb 2020 05:33 PM PST

Hey y'all! Recently, I've been having issues with my home button disappearing, along with a notification saying "Pixel setup in progress." Many other people on the forums have this same problem, and the two google support agents I contacted did not help, so here is my solution.

This problem has been reported on Essential PH-1, Google Pixel, Galaxy S8, among other phones.

    Temporary Solution 1

Restart your phone. The problem may come back, and possibly in increasing frequency.

    Solution #1

First, go to the "Apps & Notifications" section of Settings.

Then, click "See all ___ apps".

Click the three dots in the top right corner and click "Show system."

Scroll down until you see "Android setup" and disable this app.

I have not tested for any negative side effects of this fix, and disabling system apps can be dangerous at times, but it fixes the problem.

(I first came across this solution when I realized that whenever the home button disappears, a notification saying "Finish pixel setup" appeared; I held down this notification and it was sent by the "android setup" app.)

    Solution #2

For me, the app that caused this problem the most was the Messages app. I uninstalled updates for this app and it fixed the problem 90% of the time. Unfortunately, other apps started causing the problem, so I had to resort to Solution 1.

    Solution provided by Google Support

The Google Support Agent said to clear the storage of the Settings app. Though they were "absolutely positive" it would work, the problem came back the next day.
