I opened up an app that i saw called metro zone to see what it was and found out it was some sort of news app. Ever since, every time i unlock my phone it opens up that app and shows me the news. Is there any way to stop that? I can't uninstall the app and it won't let me disable it. [link] [comments] |

| Ringtones Mi A2 after update to Android 10 Posted: 01 Feb 2020 11:01 AM PST Ever since updating my Xiaomi Mi A2 to Android 10, I haven't been able to set my ringtone and other app notification sounds. When I try to get my favorite ringtone it somehow resets to a default system ringtone. And sometimes it even makes a new copy of the ringtone I wanted to set. So sometimes I see multiple copies of a ringtone I have chosen. Doesn't matter how I do it, through settings > sounds or through a music player. Other app notifications as well, I can only get default system notification tones. What to do now, any ideas? [link] [comments] |

| Always-On-Display not updating notifications Posted: 01 Feb 2020 10:37 AM PST LG G6 running Android 9 I use the Weather Underground app to put the current temperature in my status bar and notifications. It also shows on the lock screen as well as the Always-On-Display (AOD). Recently I noticed that the number never updates on the AOD, it just stays at whatever the initial value was (eg. when the phone reboots or if I manually kill and re-launch the weather app). However the value still updates in the notification, lock screen and status bar. I imagine this is an app issue since it used to work fine, and I tried another weather app and it doesn't have the issue. But I prefer Underground for various reasons. I'm curious if anyone knows how this could happen, why wouldn't the AOD just take the value from the notification? Also is the AOD a standard Android feature or is this something LG added? Posted: 01 Feb 2020 03:25 AM PST Disabled battery saver, made sure the app has permissions, made sure the app can run in background (instead of smart run or whatever), etc. is the big white x in circle on the bottom of the recent apps view is a 'kill all apps' button? I thought it's just a clear recent button. That button kills almost everything, a playing music app (Poweramp), a navigation app (Fluid Navigation Gesture), a shortcut app (Pie Controls), and accessibility app (Reachability Cursor). No idea if other background apps (like Whatsapp or Telegram) are killed as well. before I put poweramp (and other apps I mentioned) into 'always run in background' mode, the phone would kill them randomly... One minute I'm listening to music, the next second it'll stop, and there's a notification saying "Poweramp might have been killed by battery saver, please ensure poweramp is allowed to run in the background". FNG, Pie Controls, and Reachability Cursor will just randomly stop working (unless I allow them to run in background). I have some notifications that only arrive when I turn the phone on. | Posted: 01 Feb 2020 07:42 AM PST I bought a phone second hand and everything seems to be fine just as original including the imei code But once i restarted the phone the imei code changed and i no longer can make phone calls nor receive messages ,I typed the imei code in several sites and it shows its a nokia phone (The IMEI number in the software is different from the IMEI number in the back of the phone),The phone is original i can confirm considering i have same phone but bought it original, Long story short is there anyway i can fix the IMEI number to be exact as the original one?
