| Disabled settings on Xperia Z. How to fix it? Posted: 05 Feb 2020 09:33 AM PST While having problems with factory reset on my phone (was getting Settings has stopped working everytime I touched "Erease everything") my brain died for few seconds and I disabled the Settings instead of clearing the cache. So now I can't do anything at all, can't even connect to the Xperia companion on PC because I can't choose anything else than connected to charge only. The Settings app disappeared from the menu and I can't access it in any (known to me) way. I'd greatly appreciate if someone could say if it's somehow possible to fix this result of my dumbness, I've been fighting for a while now but don't want to make it even worse. [link] [comments] |

Recently after downloading a emoji app, my phone (Galaxy S9) started to pop up some full screen ads about apps such as facebook, games and so on, even during normal activities like texting on whatsapp, calling someone. So my phone (Note 10+, Verizon) was in my pocket and it reset itself, unfortunately. The problem starts here. After adding my Google account and choosing the backup I wanted to restore, it gets stuck at "Just a sec...". I'm using a backup just before the factory reset. (Chrome doesn't seem to block html5 videos) I've been using kiwi which I like a lot, but looking for a browser with better data saving measures. | Posted: 05 Feb 2020 11:14 AM PST In my Download folder, I have a folder for Music and for a language course. The music folder consists of mainly mp3s, but also flacs and m4a's. When however installing any music player, when scanning for files, only the language course folder gets detected, with the songs in the Music folder being completely skipped. I even tried to scan the music folder exclusively, but it just shows me that I have no music in there. I've tried moving the music around to other folders and installed a lot of Music Players, including Music let, VLC and Pi, but nothing seems to detect the songs. Posted: 05 Feb 2020 06:51 AM PST I'm trying to get it set up to just be a field tool for hiking/hunting (FLIR mostly, but the GPS suite, offline map and guide storage, no SIM so emergency calls if really need be... offline gameboy apps for when I'm just waiting in a blind) that my hoity toity iPhone can't do. Anyway, I want to try a factory reset to see if it deals with any of the sluggishness I've noticed since turning it back on after almost a year. But I don't want to lose the CAT, FLIR, or hiking apps that are kind of the reason for digging it out. Got a Samsung s10 and used Google play music initially, however I've found it a bit clunky and today just realised that there was a 1,000 song playlist limit (wondered why my playlist kept breaking!) Does anyone have a recommended solution for this, looking for the following ideally: *Have my existing mp3s physically on my phone, with relevant ID3 tags *copy over the existing iTunes playlist (not essential) *no limit on # of songs on the playlist *the ability to create new play lists (via pc, ideally to make it easiest to manage) Thanks all [link] [comments] |

I'm running a huawei p30 with nova launcher and the rest is default. Below is a link to an example of my problem, with some more issues that follow. I can't for the life of me think what else is causing this and don't want to have to lose all my settings in a reset. I've tried disabling nova and dark mode but no luck. Restarting my phone didn't do anything either, and connecting to a WIFI connection isn't really an option at a school where the sites I want to go on are blocked. Posted: 04 Feb 2020 08:04 PM PST just like any other day, I plug my tv, turn it on, plug my dongle since its already connected to my tv hdmi, everything will follow normally, like logo will show and ill be directed to launcher like a phone does when you turn it on but no it didnt happen after the dongle logo showed it booted again to its logo (which is prestiz) and then showed a "dead android" and when you wait for a couple of minutes itll restart and boot again but same thing will happen,dead android. I want to try hard reset but this isnt a phone where you can press power +vol. i tried pressing the hidden button but it didnt work. | Nokia 6 cannot access internal storage since inserting an SD card Posted: 05 Feb 2020 03:13 AM PST Hey guys, I have had a Nokia 6 for about two and a half years now. I bought an SD card last spring to expand its storage a bit, and since then I have been having issues with the internal storage. I cannot access it from any of my apps or when I plug in my phone to my PC - I can only access my SD card. The storage is still there, because I can look at it via my settings > storage. It tells me that my "internal shared storage" has 28 GB used out of the 32 total. I can see the apps I have installed on the internal shared storage, and the phone lets me know I have about 5 GB of audio and photo files each, but when I tap them, the phone tells me it cannot access these files. Removing the SD card did not help. Nor did inserting another one, or reformatting either of the SD cards I tried. Luckily, I had a backup of these pictures and audio files. I am now in the process of moving to a new phone and I want to export my Whatsapp conversations to my new phone. To do that, you need to make a backup and put it in Google Drive, but since my phone cannot detect its own internal storage (which Whatsapp is installed on...) I cannot make a backup to upload. She is the only contact that never comes up as a recent contact. I message her often and send her the most shares, but I can't get her to show up. Any ideas? She shows up if I search my contacts.
