Posted: 25 Feb 2020 05:49 AM PST It was a survival game ish that was top view, set in a 2D world. I have been trying to find the game on playstore for some hours now to no avail and I am now doubting myself whether I really saw the game and not just making it up. [link] [comments]
I swear, once we have Slay the Spire and Gwent on mobile our lives will be over! Posted: 25 Feb 2020 08:43 AM PST Playing StS offline and Gwent for competitive play EVERYWHERE are all I want and need right now. Heck, I might not even download another game for a year (okay except for Dead Cells) since both of these games will eat up all my free time. Who else here are patiently waiting? [DISCUSSION] Multiplayer in mobile games Posted: 25 Feb 2020 06:17 AM PST Hello friends I'm a young gamer looking to get in the games industry to make games we'd enjoy playing. With such aspirations, I like to discuss all aspects of gaming to get general opinions. Today my thoughts went on the way online gaming is taking over the industry. Being a beginner dev, I'm only making mobile games for the moment and would like to know your stand on multiplayer mobile games. I have already noted 2 main ways mobile games implement multiplayer functionalities. First are the leaderboard type games which have you link social media so you compete with your friends through scores without necessarily playing simultaneously. This enables the social aspect of multipplayer without having to implement true game modes or needing a large community. Subway Surfers is an exemple of a game pulling this off as well as the racing game Gear Club. Gear Club also lets you play against ghosts of other peoples' times which helps with the competitive aspect without being too taxing. The other type are games like Fortnite which just bring your console experience on mobile with multiplayer game modes where you actually play with people at the same time. The 2 types of games being vastly different both in scope and resources I'd like to know your stand on the matter. Do you enjoy leaderboard type games or is simultaneous playing an essential part of your multiplayer gaming experience? Not to close this discussion on that note, I'd also like to know whether having a singleplayer mode to go with your multiplayer game matter to you at all. Would you rather a game like subway surfers which has leaderboards but can be played solo or a game like gear club which is online only? When I posted this on r/Games, I was also told about turn-based multiplayer modes which seem very interesting. Would you consider a turn-based local co-op mode worth it on a mobile game? Also would being always online turn you off if the core components are polished enough? Thanks in advance for the replies! [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:55 AM PST I have played a lot of pokemon games and romhacks, but ultimately I don't have time to play on my pc, but I have a lot of death times at work where I can play on my phone, so, is there any fanmade pokemon game i can try? I'm asking for fanmade ones cause people really write a lot of good alternative stories for their own games, but if anyone has a favorite romhack or something, imma try it also, thanks for answering! Building (I.E. Minecraft, Terraria) apps with some sort of twist? Posted: 25 Feb 2020 10:07 AM PST I remember years ago playing different variations of Minecraft clones that all had, for lack of a better word, twists on them. Block Story is one I remember pretty well, it had a lot of unique mechanics, but last I checked it hasn't updated in years. Anyone have any recommendations for similar games? I've been wanting to scratch that building/adventuring game itch for a while now but I can't find anything :c [link] [comments]
In need of a personalized game recommendation Posted: 25 Feb 2020 02:33 AM PST I've played a few games that are always in my memory as fun, addictive and challenging. To give you an idea of my tastes, these are the games that I remember the most:
If I were to extract the similarities to try to define a game profile that might attract me, I'd say:
Does anybody have any recommendation based on the above? Thanks in advance! [link] [comments]

Any barcode/QR scanning games or something similar that are still active and of decent quality? Posted: 24 Feb 2020 04:21 PM PST Already tried Barcode Knights but it's been like 3 years since they got any updates. Other ones seem to have shut down and any others I find still alive look like something out of a school project, low quality. Anyone know of any gems I wasn't able to find? [link] [comments]
